Hybrid Theory "mood" right now.

(I've said this in the other conversation but I may post it here too, to notice the other players). If I am right, the alleyway has one or more curves and ends with a bigger space, with some thrash cans. (Tomas confirmed this). I am currently with Zander (behind him; this way he'll have the higher priority in the event), and Roy and Paul are behind. (cit. Tacos):"However, in the same amount of time, they managed to catch up completely and also pass Zander through the alleyway, when I never indicated that he stopped, which is where it gets a little frustrating." I hope rollerblades could justify this, at least for Monika. The posts I made in this topic before were made assuming he didn't trigger the important action (which is, in fact, true) - entering the alleyway didn't mean finding the duelist right away. Even before Tomas confirmed this though, I was believing this to be true; so I made those posts. (and here I am partially wrong because I wouldn't have known that). So, here, Tacos could make a new post where he arrives at the end of the alleyway and triggers the important action (as there is a curve, Monika could still be behind that wall; or Tacos could tell her to stay there). Then the duel begins; Roy and Paul arrive there, and they, including Monika, become the spectators of this duel, between Tacos and Ayatane. (Warning: Only Zander knows this name; Officer Adams only said "mysterious duelist" to Monika). If this doesn't happen before the Recap post... Tomas decides, but, what should happen is that the Important action is triggered, and the first to do that are Zander and Monika, together (As Zander had priority I'll let him do what he wants). To Zander: I could say that you're my savior, but I'm with Sidus, if Flynn is still ok Of course, sorry for what happened (or for trying to get some crazy things done to resolve everything...). Maybe Tomas could suggest another solution though. EXlink, sorry for bothering you again, but you'll need to edit your post again (as it states I'm with Paul, but I am with Zander), or find another solution (I'd have to edit my posts again, to state that I'm with Paul... - they are already completely different from the first versions now )

I changed some words... I hope it's alright. Disclaimer: I am assuming that Monika meets Zander already in the alleyway (as you said), but not near the end, where the duelist is, probably. (Well, now that we arw in the alleyway, the duelist could either spot us, or he could stay near the end of the alleyway. Since we are not near the end, probably we can't see him...)

I hope the last post is OK... I know I was talking with Zander, but... as Monika finished talking she saw Roy and changed her mind. So, the conversation has been cut off... Maybe Zander could answer if he catches up with Roy, or call the two back.

Roy, Paul and Zander - Important Action (If Tacos doesn't post) That did not go as planned. Zander, the "playboy" of her class, instead of stopping and talk to a "cute girl" (Monika didn't consider herself a very "cute" or good-looking girl but neither an ugly-looking person; Zander should have noticed her), ignored her and kept moving forward into the alleyway. "Things are getting serious... this place seems to scare me; Zander didn't reply to me, and he's just going ahead". Monika stood still and looked back at the entrance of the alleyway as Zander was walking away from her: Roy and Paul were approaching the entrance. Despite their efforts, they couldn't keep up with Monika, but they arrived earlier than she expected. "They must have run very fast to be here already" she thought. She made sure that they would see her, then she skated into the alleyway to reach Zander - she arrived behind him fairly quickly, being the only one that was not walking of the four students. As Zander ignored her before, she decided to not disturb him anymore and just skated forward, without saying a word, staying right behind him. She could have tried to outpace him but she didn't. That alleyway made her nervous and slightly scared; she unconsciously adjusted her helmet, perhaps because of her own feelings towards that place. The last thing she wanted was just going alone in that place. Roy and Paul were still behind her, in the alleyway, but catching up would have taken them some time.

Monika here is trying to "mess with" Tacos - of course, Zander himself shouldn't know it I'm trying to have Monika (and maybe Roy and Paul) go with Zander, but again, it's up to him to decide... (just remeber Monika's attempt at being a "cute girl"). Tacosandflowers, please try to reply in a way that fits Zander; that's all. (Again, if you want to go alone, it's up to you). I'm just trying to improve "psychology" in the RPs... Of course, if there are any problems, I'll be happy to fix the post.

With Roy and Paul; To Zander "It's incredible, but I am going to school when it's almost evening." Monika thought as she was approaching that well known building. It was quite a long way; it needed to be worth something. "I am sorry, if I came here too fast." she said to Roy and Paul. She could have also added "I don't like walking very much, you'd be faster than me then" but those were just silly justifications. In the meantime, the sun was (already) about to set. As she came closer to the school she saw something blue, moving near a bulding. "Is that someone? It could be Zander; he was wearing a blue hoodie today, I think." she thought. After warning Roy and Paul, she sprinted forward, trying to go as fast as she could, despite being slightly tired after going around the city during the whole afternoon... Roy and Paul were surely more tired, so it was better to not complain and keep skating towards that person. She reached that person only as he was inside the alleyway for some meters. He was walking forward, trying to stay hidden and staying close to the walls. As Monika supposed, he was Zander in his blue hoodie. The girl tried to talk to him, with a soft voice to not give away his position. "Oh, it's you, Zander... nice to see you again. I also came here to seek a mysterious duelist; you should be here for the same reason so why not go together?"

"Did I make the wrong choice on such an important decision?" thought Dexter as he began to feel strange. Takeshi said "I wouldn't trade this life for anything", but Dexter seemed to misunderstand him. "You mean your past life as a human or this one? I hope it's the second, of course" Dexter whispered to him. He was trembling, he almost fell on the ground one time, and constantly staring at Astros. He was feeling pain; but not very strong; so he thought it was just normal. Dexter, however, noticed that his eyes hurt more than the rest of his body. "My eyes? Why is this happening?" he thought. Maybe his different coloured eyes would interfere with this infusion? Maybe they would have been the source of his power? "Maybe that's why my eyes are so... special". But, all of this was not very important: the thing that bothered Dexter the most was just that he felt so different... like if he was another person, and not the same, human Dexter who saw that Beast.

"Ok, I'll follow you there..." said Dexter before going downstairs and following Astros. By the time they were outside of the building, Takeshi and the other people were already ahead. "Well... Since the other group of people is already there, could you stay with me and show me the way to Takeshi's dwelling? I'd really appreciate it." he whispered to Astros. After about twenty minutes Dexter arrived in that place and knocked on the door, before entering. That place was not that bad for a shelter built in an abandoned neighborhood. Dexter took a look around the place, then introduced himself to the group of people. "Hello everyone, my name is Dexter... Some of you might already have noticed me before, where you fought the beast." Then Dexter called Takeshi and said "Takeshi, right? Astros is here with me. He offered me a contract and... I accepted it."

As Dexter suspected, being able to use his inner powers had a cost: in this case, protecting the Mediators for the rest of his life. But, why did the mediators need the help of other people, magical people, to do that? Dexter then thought he was destined to be one of those people. He was the one who saw the beast, after all, and he was willing to avoid other deaths caused by these creatures. His father's death was still an open wound. On the other hand, this would have changed his life drastically. (check Of Shadow And Flame and you'll find this. That's what I had in the clipboard.)

So, in the last post in the IC topic, Dexter accepted the contract. (I actually didn't ask Astros more questions because of Nagi telling Dexter to move - I could still do that when I meet Takeshi. Thanks Hiss13) I'm still waiting for Astros to actually unlock the powers, then I will come where the other players are. Astros told me Takeshi was a friend, so Dexter shouldn't be scared of them. So, now I'll be just a new magical person and I'll have the five minutes of transformation; but it says that is going to improve... how is it going to get better and at which pace? (Will I be able to stay transformed for, say, 10 minutes already the next day or do I have to wait a month? This was an example.) Also, I again tried to tweak my character (as he has the heterochromia - different coloured eyes - I should focus on this particular. What I thought was, depending on his emotions, having one of his eyes shine more. The more the left eye shines (the hazel/red one) the more damage he could do with his weapons, and the lower the precision of the shotgun should be - this way he should get closer to the target, but could do very high damage. But, the more the right eye shines (blue one) he could have the ability to heal people close to him and (when he's going to learn how to do this) being able to shoot healing projectiles with the shotgun - clearly taking inspiration from the Rescue Ranger in TF2 the engineer is in fact my favourite class alongside the soldier. Also, the precision of the shotgun and the pistol should be higher. With time, he's probably going to control his emotions (as, like all magic people, he has strong emotions) and have a great self-control, becoming much better at fighting. This could also be interesting for the development of the character, right? If I can't write or describe very well a scene, or there are some mistakes in the post (like the cat wearing a coat - where coat meant "fur") just notice me and I'll edit the posts... But, remember I am italian

"I thought that there was nothing I could do; it had to happen. But now I have the possibility to prevent such things from happening again..." he thought. On the other hand, this contract would have changed his life completely... Dexter was refraining from living a dual life. His mother was far away and didn't seem to care this much about him; his dreams and ambitions seemed the most important thing: he could never try to realize them again. "So you are the mediator who unlocked that guy's potential... Takeshi... This is an important decision..." he whispered to Astros, while meditating... so many things, so many thoughts were inside of Dexter's mind. He was feeling overwhelmed. After some minutes, Dexter said with an unsteady voice: "I'll... accept the contract." He was sure that, in the end, it was the right thing to do. He was born to be one of those people, as he already had the powers, and it would have been a shame to waste them... And the price to pay (not realizing his ambitions and living a normal life) was honest. He wasn't living a normal life anyway. His father's death was just one more reason to accept the contract and help to prevent such things from happening again. With his eyes of different colours, he stared at Astros with a serious and resolute look. Despite his voice being unsteady, he was firm and determinate about his decision.

FYI I made another post after the one where I ask some questions to Astros, without waiting for a reply, but that new post only states that I noticed Nagi yelling at me, and then return in the position I had before and keep talking with Astros again... I feel like this post could actually be ignored, when deciding what Astros is going to say.

The conversation he was in was almost surreal. It wa only Dexter and Astros the mediator/cat. The other people and that beast were so close to him, but they seemed so far from that upper floor of that unstable building. "Hey, you! It's not safe here. Get your ass over to where the others are congregating." a woman yelled at him, as he was talking with Astros. Dexter decided to look out of the window just to see who that woman was and where the others were congregating; the woman, who seemed to have his age, was that one on the building nearby, and the place she mentioned was just another alleyway, near the street... Dexter turned back to Astros, doing what he was doing before; asking him things and waiting for his reply.

I am talking with a Mediator now (waiting for a reply from Murdoc). It's an important scene!
