  1. It is calculated by in game steps. I think it works on a timer similar to the egg hatching and breeding system. Also going into other areas, does not reset this timer.
  2. Getting most fossils is a royal pain the rear. I tried for several hours of x3 speedhack before finally getting the skull fossil I needed to get Head Smash Aggron. You really just need to keep up the search and steady your will.
  3. I tend to have two Aggrons I switch out interchangeable based on what I need. First one: Adamant (Just got lucky with this one) and Rock Head. Give it a quick claw or an item of your choice. Automitize, Iron Defense, Head Smash, and Iron Head. The main reasoning for this set is to be able to outspeed and not particularly ditching all your Steel type attack. Set up some ID and even string fighting types will have a hassel taking you down. Also, Head Smash/Rock head allows for sustained survival instead of dying from recoil damage. Second: No set nature because I haven't bred this one yet and Heavy metal. Give it a lagging tail to increase weight even more. Iron Defense, Curse, Head Smash for stab, and Heavy Slam. Heavy Slam should decimate most everything in your path, particuarly if you use curse a lot.
  4. Honestly, I started with Greninja and there are actually several Pokemon that I've had all along who have pretty much carried my team. Grenjina, obivously, although I have never chosen a water starter before. Along side her were some of my first and best Pokes in the game. Manectric, with tw, lightning rod amd chrage beam will simply go in am wreck any type (except for ground obviously). A surprising one that no one else has mentioned, and it might just be me starting in Episode 12, but Pyroar. That thing is power. I started the game before I played XY and all I knew was it was s lion and it was a fire type, which I needed since I refused to use a Pansear (Pansear and his kin have let me down many a time). And let me tell you, dang, Pyroar is a godsend. I already had a physic type so it was way better for me than an Abra would have been. That normal/fire typing is actually quite spectacular. I used this guy to sweep Florina, Shade, even Kiki, none could stand before the lioness's wrath. I'll tell you right now, if I had not gotten a Pyroar, I would likely still be stuck on Shade. That normal/fire typing allowed him to nobel roar chandelure and then work up himself to set up a sweep. Pyroar, Braveheart, you are the MVP of my entire team.
  5. When has the Gulpin been glitched since? I caught mine just fine in episode 12 (I'm pretty sure it was episode 12, might have been 13).
  6. The Cacnea egg you get from investigating the day care couple and discovering them to be frauds, then returning to the one girl who was complaining about them being frauds (I believe it's in the Onxy Ward but I'm not sure one that one).
  7. No problem. I'll keep my eye out for other changes and updates. Edit: Speaking of updates, here's one. Beartic can now be found in the first floor of Celestine Mountain, which is the one within the North West Adventurine Woods.
  8. Okay so for Aya I personally completely reconstructed my entire team to compensate and I whooped her within moments of going in with them Sturdy Magneton: Resists poison, could set up with charge beam and pretty much slowly kill her team. I also used this to specifically kill Tentacruel by slowly charge beaming up. Sandslash: I didn't see anyone else mention this one, but he's pretty great. He learns Earthquake at 46 so you'll have to force some common candy down his throat but he'll be awesome afterwards. Also gets swords dance, which is great to set up with, esspecially if Muk, Tentacruel, and Nidoqueen are dead. You can catch Sandshrew underneath the Grand Staircase. Protean Greninja: There's not really much you can do to sub in for this one. Mixed Attacker Flygon: I couldn't be bothered to try and breed a Flygon with EQ and decent attack IVs so instead I trained him up normally and since he had near perfect SpecAttack IVs, I made him into a mixed attacker. I also managed to grab him an Earth plate to boost up that Earth Power. He also had Crunch for Gengar and I think Dragon Tail to deal with Dragalge. Meowstic (Female): Light Clay is priceless. I had it with Light Screen and a STAB attack and without it, Sandslash would have perished instantly. And finally, the one, the only... Shedinja. Yeah, that's right, Shedinja. The Wonder Guard menace. You can get this thing from rock smash in the wasteland to get a Nincada. After that, you can use it for a free switch in, use Screech, then Shadow Sneak or star Fury Cutter-ing if you're feeling confident. If you can kill Gengar with this thing, great. If not, you were probably still able to cause some serious damage based on how little she has to counter it. I hope this helps. I wish there was more I could do to help with subbing something in for Greninja, but I'm not quite sure what would fit the bill. I'll do some research and get back to you guys.
  9. Personally, I have no clue what everyone is freaking out about, I actually found this battle to be way easier than Taka in a single battle. I had my trusty Protean Fragadier, Manectric, Onix, Kricetune, Litleo (or maybe Pyroar, I don't recall if it evolved or not), and Gothita. With an early game Physic type, I actually find PULSE Tangrowth way easier than the regular variety, since Gothita can just kill it with a nice stab attack. My only real problem was Chatot, so I trained up my Manectric and Onix and went to town on it.
  10. Okay so you now get Gothita from cleaning up the Beryll Ward Library, which is slightly west of the Beryll Ward PULSE machine. You enter the library , talk to Gothitelle, who asks for your assistance with cleaning up scattered books and debris. After doing this, talk to Gothitelle again who will thank you and give you something (I forget what) and then talk to the second Gothita, which you get to by going up a set of stairs on the left of Gothitelle's starting position and go straight for a bit, then turn left and it should be there. Just talk to it and it should want to join you know. Also good to note this is where the "Ill Fated Doll" for Absol's event is.
  11. I was at my house with an irl friend yesterday and he started a new save file on Reborn on my computer and apparently, Whismer has been added to the game in its old spot once more and the scared Ralts-turned-Gothita has been replaced with Espurr, which is a nice upgrade in my opinion. Meowstic is way more viable than Gothitelle.
