I concur with Hyperlisk. As someone who has had plenty of issues with his parents over the years, it's tends to be better to just blow off your mom instead of being made to listen to what she has to whine about. Even if she gets angry with you, she'll get over it. You have enough to worry about. But you shouldn't over think and worry about everything that's going on too much. Over thinking and over worrying never gets anyone anywhere, just more depressed. You're only 17, and just because life sucks now, doesn't mean it's always going to. You have quite the potential to make life much better and happy if you just don't worry about how it is now, and just focus on what you enjoy doing instead of what's going on around you. People suck, in general, worrying about them, even your family, is just going to bring you down all the time. And luckily, you obviously have people who care for you a lot. I'm sorry Miss Kitty, life sucks, and I wish I could make it all better for you even if I barely know you. *pat pat*

I loved Ampharos. I remember before Gold/Silver came out in America, my mom bought me Japanese Pokemon cards. One of them was a shiny Ampharos, and I just loved its design. It looked so awesome. Now I've grown up and have realized how completely useless it may be later on in the game...but still, I enjoy it on an aesthetic level. My favourite, if YOU DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW, is Charmander. Fucking love that guy. Always have, always will. Just so adorable, especially in the early anime episodes. I don't know. Plus it evolves into a pretty decent Pokemon. The only problem I've ever had with Charmander is the fact that Charmeleon is boring and sucks.

I think it has to do with the original Pokemon looking so fresh and new when they first came out. Plus there IS A LOT OF TRUTH TO IT. I mean the Ken Sugimori was the only one to do the original 151. And I don't believe he had any input in generation four. It's the same reason why people HATE the character design in later Final Fantasys...It may be similar, but it's not the same, it doesn't feel the same, it's not done by the same person. It clearly is a personal choice, and nostalgia may be a point of issue. I remember being so excited for Pokemon before it even hit the states, looking at all the Pokemon in Nintendo Powers and stuff I had. But the is a big difference to the designs, it's just different. It's just very hard to describe, especially considering none of us are pretentious art majors. But it's not done by the same person anymore, and that is clearly a point of issue as to WHY it may feel different to some of us.

I don't know. It's just something you just have to know. Go watch/look at Digimon.
