Every time I see this topic title I think the numbers at the end are supposed to correlate to today's date. It hurts my head every time.

I am a fan of the flying squirrel. Edit: Okay. Something just hit me. All new Pokemon until you beat the game...does this mean...NO NEW EVOLUTIONS of old Pokemon? (that seems odd to me, considering that one of the new Poke's looks a lot like Luvdisc.) Does this also mean the generation is going to be really big?

Or Tentacool water ways! God only knows what's going to replace them.

As much as I hate the look of all the new Pokemon, it'll actually give me an incentive (or well, technically force me) not to use the same old team I tend to use all the time.

It just feels different, and I don't like it. And there's a very easy answer to why it feels different. No one from the original generation is left. The style just feels uninspired, it feels very...bland, to me, at least, and probably everyone else who has a problem with the new generation of Pokemon. It just lacks the something the first two or three generations had on me. I'm never going to like this Pokemon in a sense of style. I may like them in a battle sense, but I'm not going to ever like how they look. I never exactly was won over with how Magnezone looks, but I certainly use him all the time. Doesn't mean I think it looks good, doesn't mean I like it for any other reason than stats. But even in the fourth generation, I'd argue that they still felt like Pokemon to me. A little waning on the style, but not completely devoid. Generation V just seems to be going farther and farther from what the first two felt like, to me, and a lot of others. It's not really something that can be explained, it's just different feeling in style due to who's designing the Pokemon now. I really really wish someone from the original games was still working on the design team.

The only bad thing about Hearing Damage is the album it's on. Argh. Twilight ruins everything. I recently discovered that The Smith's Rubber Ring runs right into Asleep. And oh my god I loves it, so beautiful, especially Asleep. sigh~ They play a Stars' cover of Asleep at work sometimes, and it just utterly memorizes me and makes me utterly depressed. Not a good tool for productivity.

I've never understood why Creep is so popular. I GUESS it's probably one of the most accessible of their songs. But I never felt like it was anywhere near as good as Paranoid Android, Karma Police, Street Spirit (Fade Out), A Wolf At The Door, Idioteque, Optimistic, Knives Out, Pyramid Song, 2+2=5, There There, Talk Show Host, Fake Plastic Trees, Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong, Jigsaw Falling Into Place, and (probably my favorite) How to Disappear Completely. But I do like it. And it's certainly a stand out of Pablo Honey. (although that's not very hard when you compare that album to any of the others, it's so weak.) It just saddens me that such a great band is massively celebrated for such a minor song in their repertoire, that really doesn't represent the band whatsoever.

(mainly so Bear notices) Today I decided my life has recently been devoid of tales of international espionage, people being eaten by whales, and youth sports, so I have of had The Decemberists' album Picaresque on repeat. My favorite. My love. And also this song by YMCK. Which I also remembered existed.

- Didn't have a birthday. - Didn't take anything. - Spent all day yesterday playing Chrono Cross. - Not getting very far. - No sweets. -/+ Got third in the tourney (Although I didn't have to do much, lol). + Worked over time today. + Will be less poor tomorrow/Thursday night
