Bug is already resisted by 7 types: Fire, Poison, Fighting, Flying, Ghost, Steel, and Fairy. Grass is also resisted by 7 types: Fire, Grass, Poison, Flying, Bug, Dragon, and Steel I don't think they should deal with more. If nothing else, Ice resisting Dragon balances things a bit, even if it does not make perfect sense. #keepthefairyimmunity

According to certain opinions posted here, any pokemon with a X4 weakness is overrated. Allow me to rebut that. Usage is a detrimental factor one should bear in mind when saying something is overrated, however if the pokemon in question fits its role well enough, people will use it or... overuse it for that matter. The Zard bros are magnificent in what they do, and that's mainly wallbreaking and sweeping. I do not think they are overrated. What you see is what you get. Garchomp is an awesome utility tool, who was unlucky enough to see his mega evolution be worse than the normal form. As correctly mentioned before, in good hands, it can fill multiple distinct roles, or even be a mix (eg SD and SR in the same set) for an extra surprize factor. Overrated? Yes, because it got a huge fanbase due to this ability, people use it recklessly and get furious when this (objectively awesome) pokemon doesn't do well. Currently most things in OU are not overrated. They are there because they can fit certain roles and needs. Some that are overrated belong to the BL tier, because some people deemed them to be too dangerous for UU. Klefki, Victini, Venomoth could be used in UU without centralizing or breaking the meta, at least in my opinion. Others I deem overrated: Abomasnow, Blastoise, Houndoom, Hitmonchan

As mentioned before I concur on your last sentence. Some of the other ideas are nice, but I don't know if they will balance the metagame more or reduce the usage of certain types. Eg Flying was nowhere before gen6 (more due to bird spam becoming a thing). About Ice and Rock, they need 1 more resistance, but I'm not sure what would be the most logical one. I can see Rock resist Ice. The problem is that Ice is already resisted by Water, Fire and Steel. Rock is resisted by Fighting, Ground and Steel, which is also enough.

Not every pokemon needs to be a badass. The dark/normal rattata is cute and looks tough The goanna and goshee are cool The lucifly is the best design so far imo (and badass) - absolutely wonderful (just make it useful so I can keep it in my team) The starters are normally appealing The caterpie and pidgey are not badass. My point is, that we need a special pokemon reveal as the next one. Not something too big of course, but still memorable. Note: I don't know if Zim's reply was sarcastic or serious, but it actually helps if the EV/IV page is included now that we're blind about the pokemons' stats, so we could at least form a plan of how to train, if not on our first run, at least on our second. It's tedious to manually keep track of the EVs of the pokemon, and since it's going to be a tough game (at least promised) it constitutes an assisting factor. Also, note for the rest of the developers, I suppose the game creation is somehow based on how the first games were made. Therefore it makes sense for a caterpie, weedle, rattata, pidgey sub which are essential in almost every canon pokemon game. I'd like to remind you there were mankey, nidoran, and spearow in the first areas too. We expect more pokemon reveals.

I was just trying to bait you to reveal more information about the ladder etc. Also, will this be purely OU, or will there be... gimmick matches throughout the league eg monotype cup matches that give an extra edge for the player to pass to the final round?

Given that many new (to the forums) players are joining the tour, will they be positioned in different groups, since the auth don't know much about them based on their previous accomplishments, or does that make little difference? Could they be put in the same group, or have some preliminary - friendly - matches, to account for that? After the groups are formed, since this is taking the form of a league, will there be certain winners from each group, a following knock-out or play-off period, or after the results of the first groups are taken, the players are re-grouped with people (presumably) of similar skill, so certain winners come up and then enter the final round (pretty much like the champions and europa football league in Europe)? Since the subjective evaluation of abilities and the objective one may differ, since some are overconfident, others humble, and some feel rusty, how does it play a role in sorting the players out in groups? Can we receive a plushie of our liking after we win this?
