  1. @Bfroger6 I see no immediate issues. Looks good to me. (Though, I realized I never gave Leivinia a height...eh...whatevs)
  2. I can only hope. Vivid has shown us bits and pieces of Old Belkan History but we never really got the full story. Force is getting me intrigued in the origin of the EC Infection but the series went on hiatus literally two chapters after the name "Seed of the Origin" was mentioned for the first time. :/
  3. Actually, Vice and Alto were both part of the Capital Air Force's Transportation Unit so it's not entirely inconceivable. Though Vice and Alto are special exceptions. From the Wiki No prob. Though I was a bit worried that it may seem like I was hijacking the thread. XD Glad to see that isn't the case. I've always wanted to see more canon info about the Church, the origins of the TSAB (seeing as it is relatively young) and more about the Sankt Kaiser Reunification War...I can only hope we'll see more some day.
  4. After the most recent Symphogear GX episode, I only have one thing to say. Never change, Dr. Ver. Never change.
  5. A friend and I are playing through Reborn from the beginning and love how much dear old DELELELEWOOP sweeps teams in the beginning of the game~

  6. Ahh…whoops. Misread that…again, no harm in asking, right? Just PM dear ol' rusty~
  7. I actually can't think of any example aside from sheer coincidence actually. Ever since 10 years before StrikerS, TSAB agents have likely been stationed over earth. So, agents have at least been on earth for at least a good ten years. (Hell, Gil Graham, who retired from the TSAB after A's was from Britain) If your character ends up somehow releasing mana for some reason, some agents would likely notice and investigate. That could work. If you really want your PC to have a familiar, I would say PM rusty. No harm in asking, right?
  8. It's rare but it's still possible. As long as it sounds believable, it will work~ There are a lot of ways. The character does not necessarily have to come from Earth. There are multiple Administrated Planets such as Vaizen, Midchilda, and Calnarog for example. Basically, find some way to get your character to become a soldier at the TSAB have them recognized by the higher ups putting the task force together. However, if the character does come from a non-administrated world like Earth, there should be some reason as to why they are able to use magic.
  9. Alright. Since rusty is not on at the moment, I'll do my best to help out with the character apps. @Murdoc: Nothing seems off at first or second glance, though I do question the decision to not add a Cartridge System to your device but that's up to you in the end. @Bfroger6 The main issue with Familiars is that they are entirely a separate entity and personality. We have only seen two Familiars throughout the course of the series (Arf and Lynith) and both are heavily autonomous and capable of independent action with their own set of skills and personality. It's the same reason rusty avoided bringing Unison Devices into the equation. @Dobbs While I get the logic behind Force, unfortunately, that is not available in-series as a possible mana conversion affinity. Only two conversion affinities exist in the canon: fire (thermal energy) and lightning (electrical energy). Funny enough, the idea of converting mana to kinetic energy and such was something similar to what one of the TSAB's contractors, Caledfwlch Techniques, had used for the development of AEC Armaments...but that's something that was developed after the time point in which the RP is set. Minor issue is that most people with the exception of close relatives of TSAB agents are unaware even of the existence of magic, let alone the TSAB. Hell, both Nanoha and Gil Graham encountered magic due to pure coincidence and Hayate because of the fact that she was chosen by a cosmic horror-esque magical artifact to be its next victim. I'm not sure how well the backstory would fly so, you'd have to defer to rusty's judgement (or Acqui) on this.
  10. So, I heard that we got DDoSed by the same person as last time…I wonder if this is going to be a thing...

  11. 9/10 Much blood. Much Tails. Much Edge.
  12. These are two of my 3 desktop windows. One of them is still in my previous post. This one is a colored version of an illustration from ToAru Majutsu no Index's most recent novel volume where Mikoto uses a rocket as a railgun shell to shoot a god into space. The scenery in this illustration is just absolutely beautiful. This…was just really pretty.
  13. There was not time to wonder what happened on the other side of the flames. They were encroaching quickly and there was no time to dodge such a large explosion. Yuzuki picked up four charred pieces of rubble from the ground. "Natsuki, destabilization shift." She said before tossing those four pieces over Natsuki such that they would be a couple of meters in front. "Set." At the moment she said that, the Gardevoir fired four pink balls at the charred pieces in rapid succession. As soon as the attacks hit those pieces, they immediately detonated in a brilliant pink light. There was no way to fully escape the damage. That was Yuzuki's assessment. So, the next best thing to do was to carve a weakening area at the explosion right in front them so that a detonation wall would form in front of them.
  14. Me? All Yuzuki is going to do is counter an explosion with another explosion using pieces of charred plank as aiming points. If Yuzuki can't escape, then she needs to mitigate the damage as much as possible then. Honestly, the best solution I see for the Volcanion issue is really the simple one of…knocking it's head away by aiming at the side.
  15. Actually, scratch my original idea… Strat, would it be believable for me to say that there are small pieces of rubble on the ground Yuzuki can pick up and throw?
  16. Let's start here then. You have this notion that not believing is simply giving up whereas that is not the case. Not believing is just that. It is simply just that we see no reason to believe in a god period. To me, the evidence points away from any god that is depicted by any religion. Now for the point I bolded (and everything in the paragraph that comes after). That is honestly an okay belief. But that belief pretty much shows why I should not need to invest in believing in a god. You claim that a just god would focus more on actions than belief (if I interpreted that correctly) in which case I have nothing to lose by not believing and just living my life like I normally do. And my train of thought is lost. Sorry, I told myself I would not post here and yet I keep coming back… But I've lost my motivation again and I'm not even sure where I was going with this...

  18. Sigh…I said I wouldn't do it…I staved off the temptation to continue discussion but you know what, I have the urge to drop my two cents on some things here. I know this is semantics but do bear in mind that this is just something I feel needs to be pointed out for the sake of keeping proper definitions. In science, the term 'theory' does not refer to some random guess or idea some guy had while he was in his shower. A theory in science is an explanation for a phenomenon or set of phenomenon supported and substantiated by a wide body of evidence and observations. Examples include Germ Theory, Cell Theory, atomic theory, and Transition State Theory. By saying 'only theories exist', it kinda downplays what a theory is in science. Now, granted by definition, a theory can never be proven correct. It can only be disproven or supported. But, as further experimentation is done, if evidence comes along to refute or disprove a scientific theory, scientists are more than willing to either revise a current theory so that said evidence/observation can be explained or scrap the current theory completely and work again from scratch to create a better definition that encompasses all of the evidence. Just wanted to get this definition out of the way. Your first two paragraphs are basically Pascal's Wager in a nutshell. Now, you obviously brought up one of the biggest issues with Pascal's Wager being that over the course of history, many different religions have been developed by humanity, each with its constituents believing that they follow the right religion. But the thing is you are dismissing it straight off saying that it's still better to take the risk. Here's the problem. You believe in the wrong god and most religions with some sort of judgement after life will say that you will be punished by god(s). What you're saying is to take a gamble on one of the many religions and believe that you will win despite the high probability that you may fail. Going off from the probability standpoint, there are an incredible amount of denominations of Christianity for example, each with its own interpretation of the Bible, along with hundreds of different translations of the Bible, each with various details differing. A Catholic and an Evangelical do not believe the same thing. A Pentacostal and a Calvinist will not believe the same thing. A Jehova's Witness and a Russian Orthodox…ist(? not sure how to denote that) do not believe in the same thing. How does one know that they have the right interpretation? Now, I'm guessing that the answer is faith but at that point, we reach an impasse. Last point, if there is a God and he is as described by some Christians, I highly doubt that He will take kindly to people who believe out of fear of hell. It lacks a sense of sincerity, yet that is exactly what the wager you have proposed is. Once you brought up that "the hard part is actually believing," you stopped attempting to convince us with rationality and objectivity. It became a discussion of how you believe something and why you do so. Now, I am not going to attempt to break that apart as your beliefs are your own and I frankly have better things to do than being a dick to someone about their religious beliefs. But my point is this. Everything before that line was an appeal to fear of eternity. Not exactly rational if I say so myself. Now, then, let me clarify my own view. My view is that I have no reason to believe in the existence of a god, like I said before. However, I believe that if a god or gods exist, then they do not reflect how people have portrayed them through religion.
  19. Rusty and I were wondering when you would show, Acqui. Glad to see we caught your interest~
