Nagi grabbed at the case and immediately jumped back behind the couch she was sitting on at the sound of the windows shattering. In the end, she knew the sniper rifle was not going to be of much help, but she opened it up, pulled out the canister and strapped it to her waist, underneath her trench coat before shutting the case again. But, as she watched Hikaru matching the blows of the assailants, she could not help but whistle. Hikaru was a lieutenant so it was only natural that this person was strong. The one odd thing, though, was that the German lightning user from before was attacking. She wondered what affiliation he had but she was likely not going to find out until he was subdued. So, as the room shifted in appearance and as two of the gunmen were pulled down to the ground, Nagi pulled off her trench coat in one motion and transformed. The air danced around her as it formed a dense, compressed armor. Hikaru had left the two gunmen unattended, even if they were still on the ground, before going after the German. So, Nagi knew that it was best to knock the gunmen out before heading over to assist Hikaru. With that, Nagi sprung forth, jumping quickly to a few meters above one of the gunmen before forcing a fall downwards with her leg extended out, ready to dropkick the man. -

Rewatching the Nanoha movies made me realize something. Say what you will about the pacing of the movies, but they have the best aerial dogfights I've seen in anime.

Alright. Level 4 Effervescent Thrust-Fukui Kiyoko approved. On another note, I come with wonderful news. My hard drive was not the issue! My dear old HDD is working wonderfully like the trooper it is. In other words, everything will proceed as planned and I have lost no files. Hoorah~

So, there's the initial push and which continues for 4 seconds max. But, if anything enters the range after the initial push, then it won't be pushed away. So, 270 m/s within the 1 meter range and slows down outside said range? And objects with larger surface area, the faster it decelerates outside of the 1 meter range (which makes sense due to how drag forces work)? Okay, so everything up to that second to last paragraph was fine. So, it's a momentum alteration moreso than it is a force alteration, then, right? As for floors...well, seeing as it's AC, it's highly unlikely that you will have wooden floors to break into. In the end, unless you're in certain locations, then the floors will be strong enough to prevent fracture. Basically, you're really unlikely to exert onto something to the point where it hits failure strain. My bad. I mixed you two up. As for that...well, that kinda breaks the whole Dual Skill rule. But if you want to focus on flight, an air flow manipulation ability works best. Hmm...maybe I should do a magic side RP when this is done. Though, that would require me to get a lot better at scrutinizing abilities as magic is really tough to work with and involves a lot of work in getting all of the symbolism right and what not. Well, that's something I'll shelve for later.

I had a dream that I was in a Zombie Apocalypse...and in the school Gakkou Gurashi took place in...and then I sliced off the the brain and skullcap of a female zombie with long hair only to find a disc wedged into the skullcap that had fallen...I wonder if that's a sign...or maybe my brain is just going crazy. I wonder what kind of messed up dream I'll have tonight.

@Lexi My only problem with your profile is the *somehow slipping through the cracks* part of your backstory...seems a bit vague... Well, I'll let it slide unless you feel like expanding it. (Of course, it can always be expanded during the RP itself.) As for the ability, the concept is fine overall. But, I would like to ask for some details (only so that the System Scan named Hiss13 can give your character's ability a level). 1) Is the force continuous? In other words, is it a single burst or is it something she can hold and if its the latter, how long can she hold it? 2) Is the acceleration and max of an object's propulsion variable with size or is it constant. Also, what would the max speed be in the latter case if that is the case. 3) How strong must the surface she's exerting the force against be for a non-negligible reaction force to push against her? @Strat: Let me know when you finish your character's backstory. Thanks to the hard drive issue, you have plenty of time. @WildChalice: Yeah, the age range is on the OP. Let me know when you have your character's profile up. @Nugget: Murdoc, Strat, and Lexi covered it far better than I could... @Murdoc: I just realized that your character is going to loathe Kihara Kenbi...this is going to be fun. Heh... Plus, there is a character I absolutely want your character to meet seeing as your character was confined in the Reformatory at some point.

Probably gonna end up going for either the Miko, Iincho, Aidoru, or tsundere archetype...I'll figure that out once I sort my whole hard drive/computer business. -
With Halloween Elizabeth being released as a 4* Caster, I now have a dream of having three Elizabeths in my party. Lancer, Carmilla (Assassin), and Halloween Elizabeth. I'm already 2/3 of the way there. Now I just must wait for Halloween Elizabeth's release.

Believe me, you do not know how much important stuff I had put on that computer in the past 4 months. I started writing 2 new stories. I completed one of my old ones. My fangame idea along with a lot of details is on that (luckily, I have an external copy which while not completely recent is only really lacking two new dialogue sets). If anything, I still have a basic memory of what the targets' profiles are. If I can salvage that, then I can still continue with this as planned.

So, I have some bad news... As of 5 hours ago, my computer started being unable to read my hard drive. Now, if you haven't guessed, all of my details for this RP...are there... and this big idiot was stupid enough to have not backed up his hard drive since June... If worst comes to worst, my hard drive may not be recoverable and I may have to postpone this so I can re-write all of the set-up and what not. Best case scenario: It turns out that it's a loose or faulty wire that can be easily replaced. So, I'll keep y'all updated. But I can't say for certain what the fate of this RP will be at this moment.

So, in the process of solidifying my fan game idea...and writing my own short and longer stories…and making an RP…and being a part of RPs… I've been thinking about character arcs. As I was walking from the bus stop to work today, I was thinking about the closure point of the character arcs of a pair of characters in my own fan game idea. But that's not the point here. That eventually led my thoughts to the character arcs of the characters we have met throughout Reborn up to this point and I started to have this worry. I thought about the various character arcs such as Titania, Sigmund, Amaria, Taka, etc and realized that a good majority of them are nowhere close to their turning points let alone their closure and the only one character who did reach closure did so because he committed suicide. And that beckons my worry that all of these character arcs will be given rushed conclusions in the last two or so episodes of Reborn and from a storytelling perspective, that's a huge red flag. Storywise, it can be very interesting to have a character who's character arc closes somewhere before the end phase of the story and use that end phase to demonstrate who that character has become as a result of their own arc and how they've matured/progressed/changed. But, I feel like Reborn is going to lack that. I don't know…are my worries unfounded?

Seems fine to me. I have no objections. 2x the Amplitude max...that strikes me as a Level 2 ability (which is not unheard of in the Dark Side so you're perfectly fine with that). I can just feel your frustration oozing out of the text there. As for your last strikethrough...someone did ask him something along those lines directly in a more recent volume of the novels. @KosherKitteh: I will try and eval yours before I go to sleep, but I have a lot of stuff to do first so I'll likely end up doing it tomorrow.

If I'm right then that means that that battle just led to the creation of enough power to counteract that..." She tapered off while starting to think that she may be going a bit off-base with her theory.

"Mmm..." While the gears in Sion's brain were grinding, she realized that Alexus may have been too flustered to really answer the barrage of questions that were flying her way. As such, she made her way over to Miss Katherine, who seemed to be the only one taking this entire situation relatively calmly. "Um...Miss Katheri--" She immediately paused though. She was not sure how to address a goddess. In fact, she was not sure she could say she held the right to directly address supposed divinity. She twiddles her thumbs for a bit before finally working up the courage to speak again. "Umm, Miss Katherine...i-if you're okay being referred to that way…what exactly is going on?" Hopefully, she'd get a single unified answer here...hopefully. -

Uwahhh...I knew things got crazy when I was at work but I didn't realize how crazy That just goes to show how new I am to hosting... Advice taken. Ugh...the moment you mentioned atomic make-up, I noticed the massive oversight I made Just for fun, I figured I should give you the excerpt from the novels where Meltdowner is given some sort of technical explanation. The thing about Musujime is that she is a potential Level 5 but her trauma pretty much makes it super difficult to transport herself. But yeah, I guess it still is far too much a Level 5 ability. Sorry, Strat…I know you put a lot of time into it. If all else fails, there are still multiple abilities listed on that Esper wiki. You can run in and yoink one of those. Nobody said it has to be a power you came up with yourself. As long as you don't take Bomber Lance, Offense Armor, or one of the Level 5 Abilities, you should be fine and if you have any questions on those I could always answer. But yeah, decibels are...a pain due to the fact that they are calculated on a logarithmic scale... Oh yeah, @Murdoc: Kita Haruki-Level 3 Chromatography Shift Approved.
