If he loses mass, then he will be smaller from the next time he shapeshifts until the next time he eats, at which point he can add as much mass as he consumes, as long as he doesn't go above his original mass. However, since paralysis doesn't affect how much mass one has, that constraint doesn't affect him this time.

Jev can be considered unable to fight at this point. Self-healing takes so much of his lumen that he can only do it about once per fight in your typical fight at the moment. It's more of a last-resort thing than anything else, since he's rendered only able to transform once if he's at full lumen at his current stage of training.

Jev had half-recovered from the shock that had been applied to him at this point, and was going to let himself recover normally from his condition when he saw Rame walk towards the guy with the lenses and then launch off a firestorm, and he was directly in the path of the inferno. experiencing an adrenaline rush as his survival instincts kicked in and he panicked, he shouted out. He also noticed that he was now in his normal human form. Acting on instinct, he dove out of the way of the blast, the soles of his shoes getting singed as he just barely managed to escape death. Seeing how violent the girl had been, he decided to play it safe and stay out of the way of the others. Until he regenerated enough Lumen to shapeshift again, he'd have to let the others wear themselves down before engaging them.
