NYAHIRO Nyahiro's face went dark for a moment, but immediately sprung back to being overly cheerful. "Do not worry, Disembodied Voice-san," She said happily, "I would never do anything bad to Bridgett-san, I love Bridgett-san more than anything!" To prove her point, Nyahiro pulled a bento out of the air and presented it to Bridgett's shielded body as a peace offering. "You see?" She explained, "I even made her a boxed lunch. It's filled with love." Nyahiro's ahoge formed a heart at the end as she said this. She did seem legitimately concerned about Bridgett in her own way, but her intentions were still questionable. (OOC: The lunch inside looks perfectly normal, in fact it looks delicious. It also tastes amazing. It's spicy so it might wake Bridgett up, but also it will freeze her in terror for a few minutes)

Yes, that's one of the best ways of handling Temperance I just want to confess here that I sort of pulled a sneaky in her sheet. The bit about Emotional Distortion only working on emotionally-driven opponents or whatever? Yeah that was sort of a, "but of course nobody here does that or anything..." Because, well, literally everyone does that. Favor is literally made out of people supporting and liking you. One of the reasons mech fighting became a sport is because you get more Favor when spectators are involved Temperance was originally a sort of mid-boss, so she's meant to be stronger than all of the PCs. It's not impossible to win against her, but it's not easy either- 317 replies

NYAHIRO A grey and brown blur launched out of the group of newcomers, rocketing to catch the falling Bridgett. "Oh no, Bridgett-san has fallen!" Nyahiro exclaimed, "I must save her!" She looked away dramatically, as though the sight of the fainted girl was too much to look at. As she did she caught sight of the weird guy. And she saw herself, a fork made of some kind of super-alloy was embedded in her temple as her entire body stood still and drained to pure white. Disconcerted, she looked back to Bridgett. "Oh Bridgett-san, there is only one thing to be done." She laid Bridgett down and leaned over her, "I must give you... MOUTH! TO! MOUTH!" Katsuo Alone and dark, orbiting a long-dead planet. Katsuo floated there, alone. No Gwaedu, no brainless children to annoy him, no one. He just floated there, forever. He tried to escape, tried to send some part of him away. But he was trapped, truly trapped. He wasn't allowed to blink or scream. He simply stood an endless watch over the empty planet. He averted his gaze, both from the vision and from the others. Tears streamed down his face. Gwaedu was quivering on his ear, clearly she had seen something equally horrifying. "Scary." Gwaedu whispered, so quietly Katsuo wasn't sure it even happened. The tears flowed even more.

[IC] TTG Chapter 3: Gluttony

Libra Libra shuddered and collapsed as Supernova disappeared from under it. Temperance was knocked back to the wall. The crowd was cheering so loudly, cheering on Supernova, cheering for her to fight back. Supernova was feeling confident too. "Emmie, we're in trouble, the armor can't keep up." Kayli warned. "Oh yeah, he's wrecking us." Temperance said, surging with confidence and excitement, "He's going to break through any moment." "Yes, that's why I'm telling you- Wait, you're not..." "You bet I am!" Temperance cheered. Cardinal "Thinking like that is going to make you lose." Cardinal pleaded, "Look, you wouldn't know her, but I do. I know her as Emotional Wrecking Ball; she lives up to the name. She drains your emotions and uses them to smash you. One method of gaining Favor is making people like you, that's where it gets its name. Honorable victory, self confidence, and cheering crowds all generate Favor. Temeprance Lucas drains confidence from her opponents and excitement from the crowd, balancing it with her own muted emotions. Then the excitement is thrown back to the crowd, and then back to her. Ten times, twenty times, fifty times. It multiplies and multiplies until there's simply no hope left for her opponent." Tai realized then that his confidence did feel like it was constantly being traded for excitement. Cardinal was right, and it was too late. Libra The armor guarding Temperance fell away, revealing her vulnerable human body. Her vulnerable human body wielding a gigantic hammer with two heads. A gigantic hammer which swung out to meet Supernova's fist as Temperance rocketed out of the mech. The entire crowd erupted in cheers. The hammer spun around and smashed into him again, this time nailing his chest. Temperance landed on her mech's melted armor frame, using the hammers weight to tip it forward. It flipped up to its standard position, smacking Supernova in the face with the upper part of its armor. "How do you like that!" Temperance yelled at Supernova, causing the crowd to cheer even louder. (OOC: So, uh, basically Emmie makes Favor out of crowds. A lot of Favor. For the record, she's not unbeatable, even at this point. But it's not easy and she's definitely stronger than any of the PCs under most circumstances) -

Libra Libra slid along with Supernova's momentum, tipping over as it went. But as it fell it entire body rotated, pinning Supernova underneath its great weight. The crowd cheered as the action finally struck up. "Woohoo!" Temperance cried out happily from her position against the wall of her simulartion. Supernova was directly below her, she could feel some of the heat he was emitting seeping through. Sure, she was stuck, but there was no way Supernova could lift her. And her armor was too tough for him to break through from this close. She wasn't quite naive enough to think she'd already won, but it was fair to say the first strike was solidly in her favor. "Yes, woohoo, don't get too excited Emmie, he's melting into our hull." Kayli said, "We're balancing out effectively for now, but too much more heat and he'll melt through that wall you're sitting on. Also we can't get up while he's pinning our arm." "Oh," Temperance said, attempting to climb what used to be the floor, "Well, try to compensate, grappling should get people really excited, right?" "Mostly likely, yes." Kayli agreed, "I'll do what I can." Libra pushed its armor to repair as quickly as possible, but it was still losing to Supernova's Fire Shield. Cardinal Tai heard a voice pop into his head. "Tai, I just saw." She said, sounding slightly panicked, "You're fighting Temperance Lucas. You have to be careful, she's truly a monster. Whatever you do, you must keep calm. Everyone must keep calm." Silent Requiem The circular blade tried its best to tear itself free, but Silent Requiem's hull had assimilated it too well. It lurched momentarily, and then Silent Requiem spun around. The spherical mech smashed full force into Revenant's head and right shoulder, sending both mechs sprawling. Adam was flung around his cockpit, luckily Favor prevented him from being sliced open when he flew into the blade. He smashed his injured hand against the wall a couple times, so that was uncomfortable. But he somehow managed to get back into his pilot seat and regain control. He wasn't sure if the blade was broken or just done spinning, but it seemed to have calmed down. He attempted to refasten the belt that kept him in place, but it had broken apart from the sheer force of his movement. He mused for a moment that Blink had probably held back, otherwise his body would have just outright snapped apart like the belt when she caught him. Despite all her threats, she still couldn't bring herself to let him die. Hopefully Adam had torn up Revenant's shoulder as much as Blink had torn up his. -

Libra "Uhh, Kayli, he's not really attacking." Temperance said worriedly. "It's not a problem, we can wait him out a little longer." The AI replied. "But the ice is melting." "And it's several yards thick, it doesn't matter how much heat he's dishing out, it will take hours to sink us any significant level." "But people will get bored waiting, that's no fun." "And you would rather slide around on the ice all willy-nilly?" "Yes." The Scales were silent for a moment. Temperance waited but Kayli said nothing. She was about to speak up again when the wheels unlocked. Now it was time to get rolling. Temperance slipped and slid, trying to get moving on the wet ice. Eventually she managed to get started, and charged forwards, moving to intercept Supernova. Silent Requiem Adam barely had time to see the projectile coming with how fast it was moving. If it weren't for the telegraphed windup he wouldn't have been ready at all. He spun back, trying to move out of the way, but it still managed to smash into his hull, the sheer force knocking him across the ice. As he slowed to a stop, his armor closed up around the disk, firmly embedding it in his mech. "Well, it's not optimal." He muttered. He shot forward at full speed across the trail of dents and shards he had left in his wake and launched up at his foe. As he flew he shifted his rotation so that the blade would slice diagonally into Revenant when they collided. -
Katsuo Katsuo shrugged. He honestly could care less about his right to exist or whatever. "Whatever reasoning is behind it, I'm still quite grateful." He said. Gwaedu bounced in a very disgruntled manner. "Hey, girl, play nice, she didn't do anything wrong." Katsuo scolded, "She's just as entitled to her opinion as you are. I honestly don't get why you're so upset, she's pretty much just worried about you." Gwaedu somehow managed to cross her arms in defiance despite not having any appendages. "Sorry she's being so rude." Katsuo apologized to Alexandria, "I was hoping she'd have calmed down, if only so she'd get angry and start talking again. She never talks." Katsuo frowned sadly at this last statement. He still didn't know why Gwaedu had stopped talking to him, and until his previous meeting with Alexandria he had been used to it. But hearing her talk again, he missed when she did it all the time.
-
Katsuo Katsuo didn't appreciate the sudden interruption, particularly when he didn't want to interact with most of this group in the first place. He shot a glare at the man and then returned his attention to Alexandria. He'd probably be willing to talk if he weren't already busy, he didn't have any reason to turn anyone away. What did this guy want with him anyways? Katsuo was a warrior, not a lawyer. Sending warriors to steal your daughter was not a good way to win a custody battle. Actually, come to think of it, this was the guy that had pissed off the reactor in the first place. Considering how he had acted there, it didn't seem surprising that he was being so self-centered here as well. The girl was probably in better hands with her mother anyways. If Katsuo were a lawyer he would be doing everything in his power to keep the girl away from this loose cannon.
-
Katsuo Katsuo approached Alexandria. It wasn't exactly an interaction he looked forward to, but he felt it was necessary. "Hey." He said to get her attention, "Gwaedu still doesn't like you." Gwaedu spun around to indicate that this was quite true. "But I figured I owed you my thanks for saving us. Twice." Katsuo continued, "So, uh, thanks twice." Gwaedu begrudgingly added her own thank you in the form of a low whistle. It was a bit unsettling to owe so many people, normally the only one he was indebted to was Jenny. But there was no Jenny here, and with so many in the group it was inevitable that a few of them would end up fulfilling her role. In the end he was grateful that there were at least people here for him to owe. Without them he might have simply died.

Libra Temperance stood in a simulated scene of the area outside. It was much warmer in the mech, but it still transferred some sense of cold to her. It was strange controlling something so inhuman with your human body, but Temperance had gotten used to it. She took a step forward, triggering the wheels to engage. But nothing happened. She attempted this several more times, her brow furrowing further in confusion each time. "Kayyyli, the wheels are stuck." Temperance whined. "I know, I locked them." Replied the silky voice of her AI. "Well unlock them, I want to go forward." "Pay attention, the ground is ice, if I hadn't locked the wheels we'd have drifted into Supernova, that would be rude." "I guess you're right, but can we go now? Supernova is starting too." "No, remain stationary for a bit, he has the advantage in offense. We must let him come to us. There will be more emotion with more buildup." Supernova's voice rang out in Temperance's ear, "Hey, Temperance, right? Let's, uh, give your fans a good performance. " "Oh, yeah, he does seem to be excited." Temperance noted. "Yes, Mr. Supernova, let's make a good performance for your fans too. We'll make everyone the very most excited." She sent back. Temperance smirked confidently, this was going to be so easy. She punched the air in front of her aggressively, her fist colliding with the metal behind the simulation. She recoiled in pain. "Owie." "Please refrain from doing that, Emmie." Kayli said in an exasperated voice "Sorry Kayli." Temperance pouted. Silent Requiem Adam pushed his cast-ridden hand against the controls carefully, it felt strange to touch them through the heavy fabric. He didn't think it would effect him in combat, but it was still strange and uncomfortable. He was more than a bit angry at himself for failing in the previous fight. He'd bet everything on a desperate attack, and he should have known it would fail. Here, he wasn't going to paint himself into that corner. Here he would take the lead, and he wouldn't get caught by a counterattack like with Strider. His confidence at least mildly restored by this internal pep talk, he kicked his mech into gear and... spun in place. "Fucking dammit." He cursed. Ice, right, and his outer shell was almost perfectly smooth. With how well kept the area was, he had almost zero traction. It wasn't actually a big deal, he was just annoyed that he hadn't thought of it. He triggered the terrain guns and shot up the ground in front of him. Then he triggered a blade to hop him forward onto that patch. Contact with the now uneven ice and he launched forward towards Revenant. (OOC: I'll be honest, shooting the ice to be uneven doesn't sound like it would be enough to generate significant traction... But it was that or grab the ground with the blades, and I used those in the water last time. So cut me some slack pls >_<) -
I haven't played Smite consistently in ages. The servers just universally hate me now for some reason. Used to play it a ton (there's an old Smite thread lying around here somewhere). That combined with how imbalanced Duel got for a while back at the start of last season made me just stop for a while I've got it back on my PC and have played a few matches since Nike showed up, but I still haven't managed to get a game where I get consistent ping EDIT: Here's the old thread if anyone's curious Also I'm KosherKitten on Smite and usually KosherKitten on here

[IC] TTG Chapter 3: Gluttony

Ice Gryffin was as taken aback by the new presence as anyone else, but regained his composure surprisingly quickly. "Right, anyways." He carried on, "I should probably say something nice, but really I'm just exited to watch you fight." He stole a glance at LOLI_HUNTER as he said this. "So if you would, please go get ready. I should warn you though, the field is a bit chilly." He smirked knowingly, as if the field's gimmick weren't obvious from the start. Gluttony Chapter - Battle Phase The field was as frozen as the throne room, in fact it was even moreso. Exposed to the open air, frigid winds drove across the ice rink that served as a battle arena. Heavier mechs would find their balance disrupted, and all mechs would struggle to come to a full stop on the ice. Even under Hiroki's heat, the ice barely receded. The stands were full of spectators in heavy coats, outside a few who seemed to mimic Temperance and Lain's style of trying to freeze to death. Notably, large crowds had gathered to cheer on Strider and the Hellfire Knight in their matches. It seemed that even with such a serious reason behind the tournament, fans still grew like any sport. Even Libra had gathered a group of fans, despite having only recently replaced Ricochet. (OOC: I'll post for Temp and Adam after their opponents post) -
Second character take 2, because I like Nyahiro more than Shion. If anyone wants to be [TBD] let me know. You just have to be relatively young and reject her constantly. And be okay with a crazy eldritch space alien following you everywhere and threatening your sanity and also possibly endangering your life. Gender is no object, babies will happen no matter what Name: 八坂NYAHIRO Yasaka Nyahiro, The Chaos that Always Crawls Up to You with a Fork Age: 16 Gender: Female Race: Human/Eldritch Alien Sex: Female Appearance: Green eyes, long dark brown hair with a very long and expressive ahoge protruding from the top. She usually wears a grey blazer, white shirt, and red ribbon. With a darker grey pleated skirt, thigh-high white socks, and plain black dress shoes to handle her lower half Personality: An excitable girl who came to help out because she loves Bridgett. She expresses her love openly, oftentimes too openly, usually coming across as overbearing and annoying. She has a love for earth entertainment, as all aliens do, which is only slightly less than her love for Bridgett. Expect insanity and absurdity to follow in her wake Level: 2 EXP: 100 HP: 54 Init: 4+1d20 Stats: 25 Constitution: 5 Resistance: 2+2 Dexterity: 4 Intelligence: 2 Strength: 6 Synergy: 6 Complexity: Perks: -Space CQC: All of Nyahiro's attacks qualify as physical melee attacks, regardless of what they would realistically be defined as. Yes, that includes the lasers. She learns a lot from them, like how to subvert the law. Nyahiro gains an extra stat point each level, but her STR and SYN must always be equal. "It's not a crime if no one finds out." -(Probably) Forbidden Union: Unlike most eldritch beings, Nyahiro is immune to silverware. She takes no damage from any attacks involving stainless steel utensils. And in turn she's much more resistant to the human weakness against the unknown. 30% damage resistance against attacks considered "eldritch" or "alien." "Could this tsundere and stabbing play come from the bloodline of the cursed deity hunter described in the forbidden black book?" -Sanchipinchi (Flaw): Being a human and an eldritch being at the same time, Nyahiro is constantly driving herself insane with her own presence. Being afflicted with a DoT quarters her RES and INT for the duration. [OOC] The Tenth God (Sign-ups closed)
Shamitako replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Post is on the way, but this needs to happen first. Matchups, not as well done as usual but I'm tired okay? Silent Requiem (SAD) vs. Revenant (SMO) The iciness of the field is going to make SR struggle to maintain its balance due to its heavy armor, plus Adam is still injured from his stunt last time. This would be an easy win for Revenant, except the D8 I just rolled says he gets the cannon lockup event, which means his firepower is 0 for the fight. Shouldn't be too big of a deal since he's melee focused, but it does mean he can't weaken SR from a distance LOLI_HUNTER (MBD) vs. Hellfire Knight (FAD) All advantages in combat belong to Heck, who can pretty easily keep HUNTER at bay. But HUNTER gets advantages just from being in the fight, and even if Hiroki doesn't support her, she's managed to gather some cute fans in the crowd (40% chance of revive). Heck will also be dealing with her own weight causing her to lose her balance on the ice Fuck, that doesn't work, I'm dumb. Just, blame the wind or something IDK >_< Armor makes maneuverability worse here Slumbering Giant (FAO) vs. Strider (SFD) Strider's going to struggle in this fight, as Giant isn't going to charge her cannon very quickly and when it finally is charged, Giant also has a comeback mechanism which can be used to counter it. Strider will need to take advantage of the field ruining Giant's balance to gain and keep an early advantage Supernova (SMD) vs. Libra (MAD) Be afraid, Supernova, afraid. The ice will cause Libra to, ironically, struggle to balance. Supernova will need to play aggressively and take Temperance down before she gains any momentum. The slightest edge and Temperance can run away with this fight. Supernova will also need to keep his cool or his emotions will fuel Temperance's victory- 317 replies

Don't play Olaf? Try to avoid targeting people with your autos until you're already on top of them, it helps a lot

Katsuo 27/33, Bloody (-4INT) Even in his enraged and partially mindless state, Katsuo still felt the sting attached to being struck for the first time in a battle. Pain didn't effect him quite like others, not in this state, but it was still a recognizable signal to his brain. Pain was the signal that meant he hadn't been hitting hard enough. He became disoriented and angry, he needed to hit it harder. In his fit of rage he swung at the nearest enemy, which had now become the reactor. Having lost touch with his weapon, his swing was backed only by brute force Basic Attack on Reactor (negative INT)

The teacher managed to fail to print off half of the story we're writing about today (the part she missed was in the middle too). And literally everyone else just starts writing and ignores it without saying anything
-
So this is cool. But, actually, the ult scaling isn't as crazy as it might seem. A ton of buffs and this gets 1/4th of the map. Most of the time it's nowhere near that Although I would like to see Kled+WW
-
Tristana. Jumps. Lifesaver. I was gonna play Varus, then I saw Diana and Thresh and decided to do the jumpy thing
-
Wait, how did Riven do so poorly? She got first blood Eh, whatever. I played alright, should have been more aggressive but I was scared of Diana ruining my perfect game
