The stats drop, and the happiness do too. The reason for that, well: If you feed your pokemon a good candy, it's going to raise it's happiness. However a Common candy is like, nothing special. Your pokemon dislikes them. I think the happiness drops the same amount as you gain if you level the poke (e.g. If after levelling a poke, it gets +2 points in happiness, after a Common Candy it should drop 2 points). EV should stay, and stats drop. Like Tacps said.

Well, Serra is well known for crushing her challengers. Jericho should fight her in episode 10 IMO. Cuz yeah.

Dat. It can be extremely annoying to train EVs (SPECIAL DEFENSE!!!!!). But it's worth it. I wouldn't say IV are better, but i guess what i can say is: It takes a while, but there's a way to manipulate natures in the game, there's a way to manipulate abilities, and EV training is "easy" to do if you know what you're doing. Since there's no way to manipulate IVs in the game (And as Ame stated, there's probably not going to be a way to manipulate IVs, ever), you should soft reset for IVs. The rest, you can do something about it in the future. I'm going to say this though: There's no need for breeding, soft reset or EV training in Reborn. It's going to be tougher, but you can still do it. What you should really care about is grinding, i guess. Although, iirc, there's no way to put more than 85 EVs in a single stat in opponents pokes right now. If Ame (Or Guardian) figure out a way to do so, EV training might become a bit more important. MIGHT. EDIT: I don't remember any posts to confirm this last statement, so yeah. I could be wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if i am.

I recommend you get the Magikarp... No wait... Maybe the Ralts... No... Dammit Ame. Removing the useful stuff. Anyway, Tacps got ya on the the starters. I'd still recommend Turtwig cuz torterra can abuse it's two STABs without any problem. It learn good moves through levelling, so yeah. Also, as much as people talk about Blaziken (I talk about Blaziken as well, so w/e), but you'd need Detect/Protect so you can get the Speed Boost going. Otherwise, Blaziken might faint before it can do anything. Still powerful though. Useful pokemons in the start: Gothita - Even though some people complained (Gothita in place of Ralts), Gothita gets a very useful ability for early game: Competitive. Since every trainer on the start uses growl/leer/charm/etc...competitive is very useful. Pachirisu - For a pokemon that people normally don't use, Pachirisu is incredibly useful in the start. Gulpin - Underrated, but Swalot is a monster early game. Corey is not going to stand a chance. There's some other stuff, but too tired right now. Might suggest other stuff later if i remember to do so.

Can anyone else try and see if Azurill is having a problem? Cuz if it's not a bug, then this doesn't belong in Troubleshooting. But yeah, you should be able to check in the Saloon in Obsidia. it might not be as high as you think it is.
