  1. Masaru pokes his head into the ballroom. That's odd. . . This whole place is older, but the crack in the floor looks pretty new. . . Nice place, nonetheless.
  2. A popping sound, a burst of fire, and a faint odor of sulfur announce a familiar face's arrival in the Servant's Quarters. Though, said face was not careening through the air this time - simply skidding a bit before coming to a halt. "Whew, alright, that was mostly okay. Wonder if that Edmond's around still. . ." Marisa says as she looks about.
  3. Mitsurugi wanders about the suites, lost in thought. She'd briefly tried to sit and meditate, but hadn't been able to calm herself sufficiently. Her gait was ghost-like, her movements nearly completely silent as she walked.
  4. "So, wait, what, we just jumpin' these guys while Bel climbs up the roof, or what?" Myrdwyn asked Cade, at her normal volume; which is to say slightly louder than strictly necessary for normal conversation. Perhaps it was a bad idea to invite someone known for unsubtlety who was already tipsy along if one planned on being stealthy,
  5. "Think that's our cue to wrap up this little dance." Masaru scoops up what remains of his food. "You're welcome to come along, Morgan; I've got the feeling that your quest could be served by joining up with us, at least for a while." He heads down and out of the restaurant, and back into the castle.
  6. "If you want me to be honest, I'm not sure of the whole story myself. Apparently we're on a quest to save the entire multiverse, from what I've been told. Sounds farfetched, but I haven't seen a reason for these people to lie so far. This was just a stop to rest during our travel to go gather the rest of the group from where they've been taking care of some business." He takes another mouthful of his food, restraining himself somewhat now that there were other people at the table. "Lots of people, including myself, more or less just appeared in that castle we came in. Yes, it moves, and I don't really know how or why."
  7. "Thank you very much." Without further ado, he tears into the meat, largely using his hands and teeth instead of utensils, leaving the fish fries largely untouched until he finishes with the main dish.
  8. Masaru orders the cubed rib; he was hungry, but not hungry enough that he was going to maul an entire vehicle's worth of food, or risk whatever that core was.
  9. Masaru takes the man's hand and shakes it with a firm grip. "Yamaguchi Masaru, as I said. And I appreciate the compliment. I hope it looks good, I've put way too much time into my fighting for it to be shabby." He then turns to peruse the menu, looking for the item with the largest meat ratio.
  10. Masaru glances back at the tap. "Thanks, I think." The man starts to talk, and then does a double-take. "350 years? He's been here for multiple human lifetimes. . .? Good riddance, then. As for repayment. . . Normally I'd ask for precious gems or what have you, but could myself and my team get some free meals? I wouldn't want to impose, and I'm not sure if you've got anything like that, anyway." He glances around at the group, and then at the menu.
  11. "What, not man enough to fight me without your puppets? You seemed so sure of yourself a second ago!" He enters another stance, blade held up and forward, ready to deliver a strike. Fang Stance
  12. "Now you'll know what it means to face down Yamaguchi Masaru!" He launches into a series of three strikes; two diagonal cuts, descending, and a third thrust straight to where the lich's heart would be if he still had flesh, all executed at a speed that seemed highly improbable with the size of the weapon being used. Dragon's Rage, hit the Rap Archlich all three times, take 48*.2 = 10 damage.
  13. "Oh, you actually want to do this, then? Then don't say I didn't warn you, bastard!" Masaru enters a stance with his sword held end-up behind him, almost like a stylized version of a batter getting ready for a swing. Bolts of lightning crackle in the air around him as he does so, bouncing off of the cheap, questionably sanitized surfaces near him. Brave Stance
  14. Masaru grabs at the skeleton's shoulder and starts to physically lift him up with seemingly no effort, his weapon held in the other hand. "I'm going to give you one chance to apologize, and thank me for not destroying you on sight." His voice was held low, not angry sounding - but threatening nonetheless. "I'm not exactly the kind of guy you want to be pushing around."
  15. Masaru drew himself up to full height. "Hey. How about you leave them alone, huh? Everyone else here wants the same thing you do, and he just said there's no one available to deal with you right now."
  16. "It's a familiarity thing. Same amount of effort, as far as I know, but if you've got twenty wizards and no engineers. . . Oh, and don't worry about Ted. He pretty much just likes throwing things, so it's actually a pretty sweet deal for him. Right Ted?" Aimi called down the hall, and received a demonic thumbs-up in response. "He also hears basically everything, by the way. Anyway, that's it for the Tower, everyone ready to move on?"
  17. "I can, sort of. Never really trained in the sit-down, analytical kind of magic. So uh, if you want me to mess with that machine, that's two places it's out of my field. If you need me to hit it really hard, get ahold of me, otherwise I'm gonna go get food." He heads into the restaurant.
  18. ". . . I mean, that's a possibility. It could also easily just be a magic item of some sort. You gotta have a nose for treasure like that, you know." Regardless, Masaru glanced around the area with mild concern before hunger overwhelmed caution, starting him up the nearby stairs and toward the source of the food odor. "Good to keep watch, I suppose. You never know who's going to be at these sorts of travelers' stops. Not going to get in the way of my snack, though."
  19. "Well, it doesn't look like we're getting any like this. . ." He looks quite disappointed, despite not really knowing how that machine correlated with food. Masaru frowned. "Is there something magical around here? Besides the usual of course. I've got that kind of feeling. . ."
  20. Masaru wanders into the lot, rubbing his nap out of his eyes. "I smell food. Are we getting some?" He looks around a bit, taking in the general area. ". . . You know, normally this would be the part where I became concerned, but at this point I'm not sure if it's worth the effort of asking."
  21. "So we've gotta do some actual guardin' then? Well, guardin' as in doing the stuff guards do, not necessarily the bit where we strictly beat one guy up so he doesn't beat up a different guy, but ya get what I mean. Sounds alright, just show me ta the place."
  22. Myrdwyn walked up to the trio, smelling faintly of something alcoholic. She squinted at them, Belros in particular, before speaking. "What'cha all standin' around lookin' all serious for? Did Bel piss off a bunch 'a folks again?"
  23. Hiroki activates Hellfire Mantle (+8 RES, Attack Disabled, inflict 8 damage on melee attackers)
  24. The shinigami made a face at the question of necromancy. "No, but that's, um, an ongoing argument. I wouldn't bring it up if I were you. They do have their own wing right now, though." "Let's get moving, then." She started the tour, leading the group around the building. Aimi highlighted the most important classrooms for new students, and did point in the general direction of the necromancy wing when they reached that floor. They progressed upward using a variety of magical devices, ranging from what was basically an escalator but made via enchanting a normal staircase to small reversed-gravity fields to one place where it was literally a contracted demon throwing people to the next floor. The group would have had a bit of time to talk while they moved through the halls.
