Super Mystery Dungeon's connection orb finally ends this debate, confirming that she is in fact the Gardevoir from the Ninetails legend. That, or she just happens to be friends with a Gengar who just happens to know an Ekans. And just happens to talk just like the Gengar from Rescue Team
