    Why does Nintendo neglect the Pokemon amiibo? First Mario Maker where the Pokemon costumes don't have their own sound effects, and now Yoshi's wolly world where they don't even have costumes in the first place! What's next, the next main series games have no amiibo functionality at all?

      It's because the Pokemon Company is very picky about the games Pokemon is being featured in and what content they would put in, sadly ;v;

      IMO, the Amiibo should at least unlock a Hidden Fight against an otherwise-unavailable Post-game NPC. If they wanted to cater to the fans even more when doing this, the Pokemon Amiibo should unlock a Competitive-level Trainer that is the Pokemon of the Amiibo's type, and the sixth Pokemon they send out is themself.

      Sadly, what Zumi said also applies to the past as well. There was a scene cut in Conker's Bad Fur Day of Don Weaso chasing around a Pikachu instead of killing Paulie. This was cut because Nintendo didn't want their baby bashed, as it was quoted.
