You know what would be really helpful? If I could, like, get a Gamecube emulator, and then hook up my Gamecube controllers to the PC and play it with those (my Gamecube died). Is that possible?
Yes! Use dolphin emultor as it can emulate both gamecube and wii games. There's also plenty of usb gamecube adapter cables out they're, and they aren't that expensive. I actually play project m using dolphin.
Yes, like Pocky said but imo, it's not worth the trouble. I'd just go out and buy a Wii from gamestop or something. Not sure what happened to your GC, but unscrewing it and dusting it out might fix it.
