You wanna know why Pokemon games are getting easier? Look no further than the Youtube comments on Shofu's Reborn run. Almost entirely composed of people saying the game sucks because it's too hard. Sadly, that IS the majority opinion, most people are too wimpy/lazy/sucky to stand up to a challenge, so Nintendo knows that it has to remove that challenge to boost sales.

Keep in mind... the main series games are aimed at children. Though... it makes me wonder why they don't some crazy end game stuff. Like if you want the big challenge play through that, with the main part being at least a decent amount of challenge. I dunno. Fire Emblem does well enough... and the series is kinda legendarily hard... so I dunno.

ikr? they dont even care if the game is hard or not in reality, they just see their idol raging and losing and blame it on the game instead. sure some hax is outrageous, but they go beyond complaining about hax.
reborn has the right difficulty a pokemon game should have - not too hard, not too easy. it requires you to strategize on the most important battles, while making sure they're beatable, even if your team is composed of mons you thought were bad/useless.
