  1. I mentioned a Mega Girafarig before in a post, but I found some fan art of a design for it and I'm absolutely in love. For anyone that's interested, check out this spectacular piece of artwork and like the artist! http://icaro382.deviantart.com/art/Mega-Girafarig-554844752 Retracting my former Mega Girafarig suggestion and changing it up based on the design: Mega Girafarig Normal/Psychic Ability - Duality: Attacks from this Pokemon are followed with a second attack at 50% power from the opposite offensive stat. This second attack does not apply secondary effects. HP | 70 - 70 Attack | 100 - 80 (+20) Defense | 80 - 65 (+15) Sp Atk | 100 - 90 (+10) Sp Def | 80 - 65 (+15) Speed | 125 - 85 (+40) To give some examples of how this ability works: If Mega Girafarig uses Psychic, a special attack, the additional attack will be a physical Psychic attack using 50% of Girafarig's Attack stat. If Mega Girafarig uses Return, a physical attack, the additional attack will be a special Return attack using 50% of Girafarig's Special Attack stat.
  2. Are there any NFE Pokemon you like way more than their fully evolved forms? Let's share which ones are the best. For me, Togetic is the biggest one I like way more than Togekiss. I'm not a huge fan of Gen IV's half of the Pokedex where they just added evolutions to try and power-up weaker evolutionary families. I think a lot of the new designs didn't match quite right with the older ones in terms of color and style, or just didn't look as good as before. Rhydon's another example of a Pokemon that looked way better to me than Rhyperior does. At least both of these Pokemon can rock eviolite sets. There are a bunch of starters that I feel this way about too. I was never a fan of Blastoise's design and was sad about how Squirtle evolved to have Wartortle's amazing new tail and ears, only to lose them immediately in favor of getting cannons. I know I have a pretty unpopular opinion about that though. I always wonder what a Wartortle evolution could have looked like if it retained the beautiful tail and ears in its design. Braixen is also a huge one that looks way cooler than Delphox. These two aren't as lucky with eviolite and have a much harder time getting by (with Wartortle getting by more than Braixen can).
  3. Mega Ledian Bug/Fairy Ability: Huge Power HP ---------- 55 Attack ------ 75 | (+40) Defense ---- 80 | (+30) Sp Atk ------ 35 | (-20) Sp Def ----- 120 | (+10) Speed ----- 125 | (+40) I'm running off the assumption that if Gamefreak did this, they'd add some of the incoming new Fairy-Type moves to Ledian's move pool (such as a Fairy-Type punch). It also works with Ledian's starlight theme which runs consistently through it's Dex entries. Visually, Ledian wouldn't change much; however, its spots would change to glowing stars, and stardust would rain from its fluttering wings. Mega Furret Normal Ability: Crafty *NEW* - Pokemon with Crafty get STAB on all moves regardless of typing. HP ---------- 85 Attack ----- 106 | (+30) Defense ---- 84 | (+20) Sp Atk ------ 45 | (+0) Sp Def ----- 75 | (+20) Speed ----- 120 | (+30) The concept of Crafty is to play off the "jack of all trades" concept that many Normal types have (lower stats, wide coverage). Able to play off its surroundings, Mega Furret can now find ways to get STAB on any of its coverage moves, such as Aqua Tail, Thunder Punch, Knock Off, or U-Turn. Basically Protean without changing Furret's type. Mega Girafarig Normal/Psychic Ability: Duality *NEW* - Physical moves are boosted by 50% of Mega Girafarig's Special Attack, and Special moves are boosted by 50% of Mega Girafarig's Attack. HP ---------- 70 Attack ----- 100 | (+20) Defense ---- 85 | (+20) Sp Atk ----- 100 | (+10) Sp Def ----- 85 | (+20) Speed ----- 115 | (+30) This new ability is meant to showcase Girafarig's two heads without making something overly complicated. Basically, half of Girafarig's base Attack goes to Special moves on top of Special Attack, and the same is true for the opposite. This effectively means that Girafarig is working a 150 base on both offenses.
  4. I can agree with this. Baby Pokemon add nothing to the game other than making it harder to get otherwise already weak Pokemon.
  5. But the labyrinth IS designed for you to reach the center, that's where Randomus' Gym is. The only other locations are the entrance and the tree to the Valley where Luna's "Gym" is.
  6. The one thing that bothers me about Vanilluxe specifically is the straw in its head. I just strongly wish they chopped the straw off and let it be an ice elemental without looking so blatantly like a frosty.
  7. Is it possible to do a randomizer run in Reborn?
  8. So I've been thinking about enjoying reborn with my own custom character, but I've never made a sprite before, and I honestly don't know where to begin. I know that I'd need to replace a handful of assets from the character model to the back sprite, the overworked model's walking, running, surfing, and tauros riding animations, and their challenger cut-ins. That's a lot of work if I really want to do that right. Does anyone who does sprites have advice or assistance to offer with how to get started, what programs are best (mac friendly please)?
  9. Anyone ever try a run where your entire team can be any Type, and be from any Gen, but they must all be the same color? It would also be cool to allow shines that fit your color even if the main sprite doesn't. I'd argue that the Pokemon has to be a noticeably that color, but that some Pokemon can be in two color groups. Seaking could be in a Red team or a White team, for example. Meganium can be in Green or Pink, but Shiny Meganium can be in Green or Purple. Espeon is somewhere between Pink and Purple, so either of those would be fine.
  10. Meganium - Currently, this Pokemon is considered to be the worst Grass starter for a weak move pool and ability. Here's to hoping that Sun and Moon give it some nifty new moves, and a Mega Evolution can grant it a much better ability. Maybe Filter to compliment its defensive nature. Typhlosion - I think this one's more clear cut. Raw stats will definitely boost Typhlosion's status. Its coverage with physical moves is much better than special, so I'd hope they focus on Attack instead of Special Attack. That or boost speed and defenses while adding the Huge Power/Pure Power abiltiy. Feraligatr - More stats is already great for Feraligatr. Something really nifty might be a Water-Type version of Refrigerate/Pixilate. Swapping Aqua Tail for a perfect accuracy Stab Return, or Thrash if you want to be reckless, can be devastating. Ledian - My favorite Pokemon who's unfortunately pitiful in many ways. I'd love to see a Bug/Fairy typing to match Ledian's starlight focused Pokedex entries. Focus on Attack and Speed boosts (while possibly swapping Ledian's Attack and Special Attack from the get-go) and Huge Power/Pure Power to allow it to use all those fantastic punching moves. Exeggutor - The palm tree theme fits well. Exeggutor has a bunch of weaknesses and abysmal speed. Maybe a new ability that negates one of its weaknesses could really help. A Bug-Type version of Sap Sipper and other like moves could be really nice to cover the 4-times weakness. Call it Pollinator. Sunflora - This Grass-Type needs some TLC. Giving it a Grass/Fire typing and maybe throwing on some Fire-Type moves like Flamethrower and access to Flash Fire would eliminate a weakness and give Sunflora more flexibility. Girafarig - People suggest Psychic/Dark, but I think maintaining the unique Normal/Psychic is fine. Added Speed and defensives along with an ability that gives it bonus Attack from its Special Attack and bonus Special Attack from its Attack can help it be the mixed attacker it wants to be. Magcargo - Volcano theme to fit with the region. Boosted defenses and Special Attack along with an ability that allows Magcargo to take reduced damage from Pokemon that attack before it. This will really help its tankiness, as its low HP can't be fixed with a mega evolution. Corsola - Like Magcargo, could also really benefit in bulk for the ability that reduces damage from attackers that move before Corsola. Also fits with the tropical theme. Masquerain - Bring it back to a Bug/Water Type from Surskit. Prankster would be fantastic to pair that with things like Sticky Web and Quiver Dance.
  11. I may be the weird one in this topic, but I like the idea of romancing Taka. Since he first met us, he's been trying to help us out. Yeah, it seems like he just hates his father's business, but why choose us to help instead of anyone else such as the police officers from Jasper?
  12. This worked, thank you I'm looking to do a mono-fairy run. I have 3 requests plus Cottonee for my mystery egg. I'm listing all the details that I would like ideally, but just know that I fully respect what you decide is best for the integrity of the game. Togepi - Male - Modest IV priority: Sp Atk / HP / Def Bonus: *Dazzling Gleam* Togetic is my favorite Pokemon, and I just want to make it clear that I do NOT intend to evolve him into a Togekiss. I ask for Dazzling Gleam for two reasons, A. Togepi doesn't learn offensive moves except for the risky metronome, and B. Togetic can't learn any stab moves other than Fairy Wind. It would be nice to have a stab move, but if you feel it's just not a good idea, than I'd ask for Togetic instead of Togepi so I can have at least magical leaf. Eevee - Male - Modest IV Priority: Sp Atk / Spd I know Eeveelutions are powerful for early game, and if you feel it's too much, I thought making his happiness be -255 would help balance him out. This would mean I'd have to do twice the work to evolve Eevee, so I won't have access to sylveon for quite some time. Male also means I can't breed the low happiness away. Carbink - Calm / Bold IV Priority: HP / Def / Sp Def No notes for Carbink. Do what you feel is best, and thank you very much for your assistance. Game.rxdata
  13. So I tried to make a request, but I can't upload my game.rxdata file. Next to the "attach files" space, is reads "You have exceeded your allotted disk space for attachments." What does that mean and how can I fix that?
  14. That would be interesting. I think what would help me for writing would be to know who the reserve leaders are if there are any that are supposed to be in game. I imagine DJ Arclight is the reserve electric leader, so in Julia's case, he's now taking challenges at the nightclub. Bennett might have been the bug reserve and Anna might have been the psychic reserve, but those are theories at best because they were in the online reborn league before the game. I think what I'll most likely do is mention these reserve leaders and possibly create some where there is no evidence. For Adrienn, I'd imagine the current fairy leader is willing to step down upon Adrienn's return, or maybe Ame being the fairy leader would fit really well. Perhaps she keeps it a secret and only accepts challenges to those that figure out her identity with vague clues or something overly theatrical.
  15. I mean, I guess you could, but outside of the game's mechanics, I feel like changing the name of your Pokemon would be like suddenly changing the name of your Dog. Besides, I'm going for her naming all of her Pokemon after the people she knows, which would mean that she has already named her Illumise if that were the case.
  16. Thanks for the responses, everyone. I've messaged each of you the story concept.
  17. If there are no planned appearances of these reserve Gym leaders, then I might just create my own
  18. She has the Illumise before she meets you though so it couldn't be named after your character... unless she can see the future.
  19. Hey, So I have a story idea I have outlined, and would love to have someone to talk about it with. I'd like to discuss the main character I have, their Pokemon and nicknames, supporting characters, and ways of interpreting the story elements. If anyone is interested in that as well as possibly reviewing any chapters, please let me know.
  20. Actually I was thinking of naming them after the trainers that are in her Gym. Surely she has some fondness for these 4 people that defend her from challengers.
  21. Well Adrienn's been gone for ten years, I doubt professor Ame thought they were just vacationing in Hoenn or something. I'd imagine they were presumed dead. Even then, I don't recall if it was ONLY when a leader is proclaimed deceased. I imagined the reserve leader would kick in whenever a gym leader is unable to take challenged for a prolonged period of time. Florinia even mentions that she can't stray too far away from her gym for too long because of her responsibilities. Even when she shows up to fight against Team Meteor, her stay is only brief. In that, I'd assume Julia's not taking battles while she looks after Amaria (who's also not really taking battles) so the electric type reserve might need to take battles in her stead (as well as water I'd assume). As for Shade... I dunno? Do we know that he doesn't take battles from other trainers? I mean the power plant is locked before Anna tells us to go see him, but that doesn't mean he didn't hand out badges to anyone else (I mean we can assume that Fern and Cain beat him.) Also he seems to have some supernatural teleportation and levitation powers a la Sabrina and her wacky Alice in Wonderland psychic shrinking powers that turned Ash, Misty, and Brock into dolls. If the reserve leader is only allowed to take challenges and hand out badges if the primary leader is deceased, that would mean a massive amount of badges are unobtainable for large periods of time. Normal and Fire are understandable to a degree because Professor Ame was unaware of the doctor preventing them from challenges, but Normal still can't be obtained until Noel finds a gym. Beyond that, trainers can't receive badges for Bug, Water, Fairy, Poison (again), Ground, Rock, Electric (now), and even Steel (Since Titania seems to have no care for the responsibility of being anywhere near her Gym off in the desert.) Dark was out of operation for a long period of time also since Luna was running away from El for the longest time, and even now her "Gym" is so cryptic and hidden that it puts Koga's Gym from the anime to shame. Seriously, it makes his hidden ninja dojo look like a tourist attraction. People are expected to climb down a tree and through a crystal cavern to find her with no clues of her whereabouts. Thats a total of 9 badges that are currently unobtainable by any other trainers (And one insanely hidden Luna) which is half of the reborn league. Let's not even get into the fact that Trainers wouldn't actually be able to even leave Reborn City before the main gate was fixed (which its now locked again anyway).
  22. I'm planning on naming her Masquerain, Illumise, Wormadam, and Anorith (Later Armaldo) to give her consistency, as well as give her two new bug Pokemon for my two main characters. I kinda wish we knew who the reserve leader for the bug type was, cause I could use their name as one of Shelly's nicknames. I'm assuming she knows who they are.
  23. If there's one for Charlotte I'm going to assume it's a Volcarona
  24. So Adrienn was missing for about ten years before we find them under the gate in Reborn City, so there must've been a reserve gym leader for the fairy type that we just haven't met, right? Where was their gym supposed to be? I get that this might not have been thought of because Adrienn was created when Pokemon X and Y was released and revealed the fairy type for the first time. It's been a while since then, and I'm curious if that has been thought of since Ame has gone through the trouble of creating more solid reasons for why certain gym leaders are unchallengeable at times, like Noel and Charlotte while they are in the doctor's "care." On that note, Shelly and Noel have been away from their gyms for a long period of time, so would the reserve leaders for Bug and Normal be operating in their absence? Professor Ame knows about Noel and Charlotte not being permitted to battle since the break in at the orphanage, so besides the fight that the player has with Noel, he doesn't have a Gym and isn't able to take challenges. Charlotte was out of her gym for a while, but is back now. It's possible the reserve fire leader was taking some challenges in between the escape from the orphanage and Charlotte returning to her Gym.
  25. So I'm working on a story about Pokemon Reborn and I wanted to know more about Shelly's Pokemon when she teams up with the player to chase after Blake. Besides Heather the Yanmega, and Bugsy the Volbeat I saw Cain the Scolipede and Noel the Vivillon. Does anyone know the rest of her Pokemon at this point? I didn't get to see the others since she never ran out of Pokemon with me.
