  1. I would prefer that, yes. The tidier we keep the whole thing, the better. Keep in mind that, as the host, I have to keep track of what everyone is doing, so the bigger the difference in post frequence is between players (as in, someone gets to make five posts in the time another takes to make two), the harder it gets for me. Let's try and help one another, shall we?
  2. To Klive and Gawyn Anna allowed her gaze to wander around the class. No emotions transpired from her golden eyes, as she calmly watched her students relax and get ready for lunch time. She seemed content to just watch as the boys and girls started to converse with one another, grabbed their food, or moved to the cafeteria. Of course, the main talk topic was Tenjo's death, as was expected. Turning around, she spotted a familiar figure coming in through the door. Moving aside a lock of her platinum hair with her hand, she gave her collegue her best enigmatic smile, looking straight in his eyes. Professor Falas, please come in. How nice of you to wait for me to go have... A sudden piercing whistle interrupted her abruptly. Excuse me for a moment... Turning around, she immediately saw who was responsible for that: sighing, she tried to fit herself in the role of the strict teacher. Miss Hartluck? Please come here for a minute. I have something to say about your demeanor, and I am sure professor Falas does as well. Isn't that right, professor?
  3. Ooops my bad :/ The way the plot is structured, it wouldn't make any sense, so no, sorry.
  4. @Eonic Eevee you have already made what, 3 or 4 posts? I distinctly remember saying something about having to wait for others to post, before posting again. I understand your enthusiasm but please slow down, and allow the others to post as well.
  5. By all means, should you or everyone else need further clarifications such as this one, do ask. That's why I am here in the first place
  6. To be absolutely honest I still think it would be better to wait, so that more people can try and get involved in the conversation... I mean we are still in the early stages, so making conversations too exclusive might prove a bad idea. With this being said, if two people want to speed up their conversation, I won't stand in their way. Just try and avoid situations in which the posts of those two people are all there is to an entire page of topic, without anyone else being able to say anything in the meantime... Oh and this cannot be overstated: GUYS REMEMBER TO INSERT, AT THE TOP OF YOUR POST, AN INDICATION STATING WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO, SHOULD YOU DECIDE TO TALK TO SOMEONE IN PARTICULAR. We are 27, if you don't do this, the topic will soon be a mess...
  7. Give it time lol. Eventually someone (possibly one of the more experienced roleplayers) will break the ice.
  8. OOC topic here. PROLOGUE Narration theme: Magnificent Dark Family What is fear? Many individuals will reply that it is a negative feeling: fear is what causes humans to lose their will to fight, to forget about their duties, to fail at their tasks. This, however, is a misconception: in truth, fear is a key part of the existance of every living being, as it carries with it the conscience of one's limits, the ability to recognize danger, and the basic instict to stay alive. Courage is not lack of fear: courage is the ability to determine whether or not completing one's task is worth the risk of ignoring one's fear and insisting in pressing forward. Lack of fear is none other than foolishness. There was a time when humans were aware of this: back then, their world was full of gods and angels, as well as demons and monsters. Albeit slightly different from culture to culture, all such beings served one purpose: channeling the fear of humans in ways that could help keep them in line, preventing them from indulging in their own hubris. Fear of the unknown prevented them from using their eceptional intelligence to tamper with the very fabric of reality, from sticking their noses where they didn't belong; fear of the divine punishment kept them from using their extraordinary skills to harm other living beings, and at the same time all those gods, angels and assorted supernatural creatures provided a positive model, an example for humans to follow. For centuries, humans held dear these feelings, and knew the meaning of the word "respect". But in the present days, because of wars, terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, accidents caused by human error, and daily incidents of murder, humans have forgotten those important feelings. The unknown, the mysterious darkness doesn't scare them anymore, because they only fear their own kin. They don't respect other living beings anymore, because they are too intent in taking one another's life to satisfy their greed and ambition. They don't believe in the gods anymore, because they only worship money and power, their own creations. They have crowned themselves the new gods of a false world, a patetic imitation they themselves created, and are content to live in ignorance, only pursuing their short-sighted goals. This is the story of a group of heroes who stood up against such a corrupt society. Title theme: Tiny Bells EPISODE 1: Heartland Homicide It was a beautiful day in the prosperous city of Heartland. the sun was shining on the crowded streets, the chirping of the birds who nested on the trees of Heartland Park getting lost in the cacophony of the city traffic. A gentle breeze caressed the skyscrapers, and the gigant heart at the top of the city hall's tower, the symbol of the city, sparkled in the morning's warm light. But for the students of Heartland's High School, class 2-2, that wasn't a beautiful day. Their homeroom teacher, mister Tenjo, had been found dead and, given the circumstances, the police had started an official investigation. Nobody had uttered the word "murder" yet, but everyone knew that was the main suspect. It was therefore in a gloomy, tense atmosphere that the new teacher, Anna Reinier, held her first lesson. The two hours breezed through, none of the students caused any trouble, but it was clear, just by looking at them, that they weren't paying attention at all. And who could blame them for that? The death of their teacher was the top story on all the morning's papers, wild speculations on what had happened already appearing on front pages. The 24 students were pretty much in the eye of the cyclone. A cyclone none of them was ready to face. ... And this concludes the lesson for today. Thank you all for your attention. Said miss Reinier. A tall, incredibly tall woman, with a slender body, platinum hair and golden eyes, many male students would have probably started fantasizing about her almost immediately, under different circumstances. But that just wasn't the day for that. Since we have 5 more minutes before the bell, allow me to say something. I am fully aware of what is going through the minds of all of you, and I would like to thank you for the maturity you proved in being present today despite it. Professor Tenjo's death was a shock for all of us, but for all of us the worst part is not over yet. Journalists are flocking to the case like vultures and, since it would seem that it was impossible to determine a sure cause of professor Tenjo's death, the most insane, absurd theories are being thrown there: come to think of it, someone has even hypotized that, since his body was still wearing the Duel Disk and Duel Gazer when he was found, then it means that he was involved in an illegal duel when he died! Seriously, how can anybody come up with such a silly theory? Duel Monster is an innocent game that is wildly popular in this city, what is "illegal duel" even supposed to mean? So yeah, what I wanted to tell you is this: no matter how insane the theories you hear are, no matter how nosy the journalists get, please don't let it get to you: endure it, and we will make through this situation together, eventually. The bell that signaled the end of the lesson interrupted the speech. ... Well, this is all. Please try and cheer up now, and enjoy your lunch! And with this, the lunch break was officially underway. Rules and guidelines of the "At School topics (read before posting):
  9. So I was surfing the web, and I came across this website that had been completely taken over by spambots. It was really sad...

  10. That's a completely valid point but ehi, nothing forbids you do both (the battling skills and the personality I mean). I mean, while I agree that character development comes before everything else, I also think that improving one's dueling skills cannot hurt, and won't necessarily cause you to miss out on character development either. With this being said, I was the one who wrote in the OP that this roleplay is about characterization first and foremost, and only subsequentially about dueling, so of course I won't be forcing you to improve at dueling if you don't want to: as long as your character is developed well, that's all that matters! And of course, if the development is what makes the character, then it logically follows that dueling skills aren't strictly necessary to be a major character/Arcana Number Holder, so don't question your choice. I'd rather have the great character of an unskilled duelist in the spot, than the dull character of the best duelist around...
  11. Gosh you haven't worked on that yet? Ask DragonMasterKrim to help you. If he is busy, I myself will help you tomorrow... Also everyone, attention please: Portgas D. Ace, who is unable to post in this topic at this time, sends you all this piece of insight: I don't necessarilt agree with the MST part (what with most harmful Continuous Trap Cards being banned from this RP anyway, and cards like Wiretap or Forbidden Lance being perfectly able to deal with normal trap cards) but ehi, that aside, it's good advice nonetheless.
  12. It is. But something about the haircut/facial expression/overall pose reminds me of Kogure somehow.
  13. lol Iwata in this pic slightly looks like Kogure from Hayarigami... Which is ironic considering that Hayarigami is a PS2 game.
  14. Since all IC topics will have a time limit (one week for "At School" topics, two weeks for "After School" topics), I will be using that countdown web app in every OP
  15. Sent messages to Judges and Arcana Number Holders, which should hopefully conclude the preliminary work in preparation for the first IC topic. Zimvader, if you are reading this, I am sorry our projects together took backseat! I'll soon be ready to resume our collaboration, buddy!

  16. Of course experimenting is good, but that's still a level 3 summoner in a Rank 4 deck
  17. Serves you right for using Marauding Captain in Noble Knights in the first place <.<
  18. Good. This leaves SilverJakler as the only one who hasn't shared his DN account. I hope he will soon...
  19. Speaking of which: I don't believe Azery has posted here his DN nickname, has he? (And he didn't let me know if he liked the deck I made for him either <.< )
