First thing I want to say is this : I know this topic I'm about to start might attract some trolls who want to piss off people so if this happens then don't hesitate to lock the topic if needed. But hopefully, none of us are bad people here, and we know how to argue without being dumb As i may have said it many times I'm French, and also as many of you do, I play League of Legends. I don't even know if I need to say more, I'm sure you guys know what I'm going to be talking about x) Yeah I have experienced a lot of hatered in this game. The community is crappy mostly (not saying everyone is stupid, just the good ones stay quiet so we don't notice them, but the trolls, oh man...), but what really bothers me is the fact that I sometimes get flamed and called names just because of my being French. And recently, in Team Builder, someone asked where I lived, I answered "France", and got kicked... So my question here is : why ? I tried looking up for this on the internet and they said French people had a bad reputation, but this level of hate, based only on reputation ? And when you're playing a game trying your best to help your team, and as soon as you make a mistake you get some "noob french" or any variant of this, or even when, the ennemy team says "that guy French ? Wow sorry for you".. I feel like I'm 13 again and got called a fag and didn't dare answer to those bullies D: So why ? Have you guys experienced it, or hated on French people ? (if you did I just want to understand why, I'm not gonna call you stupid or start a fight ^^) Again if this topic is not in it's right place, or should be deleted go ahead, but I'd like to have a chance to discuss this.

What would happen if I went back to episode 10.1 with my gardevoir and his Moon blast move ? ant what about the new items and stored 6th gen pokémon ? I'm guessing they will disappear and then come back when I go back to episode 11, but I wanted to make sure they wouldn't be completely erased D:

Okay so first of all thanks a lot for your help. I've read all of your answers and is what I thought : Arkhidon : - Linoone is indeed a bad choice, I've noticed it for quite a while now, I just thought that it would stay as a slave and that 5 pokemon would be enough. That was a bad idea and I will box it in my pc ^^ Although I'm not quite sure about Furfrou, not that it's bad, I'm sure it would work, but I just dont like the Pokémon :X - As for my Gyarados' Bit, I was planning on changing it for Crunch, or maybe something else, I'm still not decided (as of yet my Luxray already has it so it would be redundant, I'll need to do some thinking) - And yeah about Luxray, the movepool isn't that good indeed, I think I might go for Fire Fang since my Gyarados already has Ice Fang. - Thank you so much for the facade TM location, I was planning on looking it up on the forum, you spared me the trouble <3 - So Ninetales is kind of limited :/ too bad I really like her, but I think I'll go for Chandelure - As of now I have all the available badges so Power leveling Serperior shouldn't be an issue, What would be a pain is trying to teach it Dragon Pulse (I'd hate to lose the Contrary ability in the breeding process, and I need to look up who's available and can pass on the move) - I like Zangoose too, it might be a good idea indeed. Vinny : - Coil ==> Contrary as Arkhidon said - I kind of noticed indeed that Ninetales' Drought sometimes messed with my Gyarados' Aqua Tail too. I'm really considering taking Chandelure instead. As of using Overheat, I really don't like this move, it forces to switch out and I don't like it D:, I might go with Flame Burst, even though it's not that strong it should be enough for now (?) - I really like Jolteon, probably one of the best Eeveelutions if not *the* but I already have Serperior, Gardevoir and Ninetales/Chandelure as Special attacker, so I think it would be best to keep Luxray. As for Magnezone, I've never tried it, but just like Furfrou, I just don't like him :X. The main problem with my Luxray is it's defenses, but I think if I can breed one with better IVs (physical defense, but also speed, which is bad right now :/ ) along with the other moves that i'd give it, it might work better hopefully. Not that I don't like Jolteon, I have one in my Pokémon Y adventure team (is adventure the right word ? I mean the team I build up while doing the story) and I loved it, and still do It's just I like Luxray and Gardevoir more :/ Giving it something for shadow ball, I didn't think of that but it is a good idea I couldn't agree more. So many gym leaders fell to my Dragon Dancer. She gets most of the experience in those battles 'cause I just put Serperior, leech seed, either she dies or I switch to gyarados, then dragon dance a few times and ohko all of the team - Linoone is useless is what you're saying, and you're probably right, A ground type seems like a smart idea, and I always wanted to try Mamoswine, so yeah I just might. Thanks man I'll try that and see how it goes I get your point, and it does seem that Flygon has better resistances, but I think I'll go with Mamoswine, for one really stupid reason, is that I don't like dragon types (except maybe for kingdra). I mean I'm sure they are strong, but I don't know why I just don't like them (which is why I enjoyed the Fairy type introduction, and especially on Gardevoir ) But thanks anyway for your help =) Never tried it, but I can see how it would be, although I only wanted Linoone for its ability to learn a lot of HMs and its Pickup, so I'll probably switch it for Mamoswine as suggested Edit : I just realised that Gyarados actually doesn't learn Crunch so I'm going to need to think of another move to replace bite D:

Okay so I have a few questions to ask to you guys and girls. I need some of your wisdom as I have none :/ So here's my current team and some of them seem weak, but I can't figure out if I'm missusing them or if they're just not good choices. Serperior (f) @BigRoot ©Contrary Leaf Blade GigaDrain Grass Knot Leech Seed Obviously the moveset is not good, Too much grass type moves. I plan on giving her this asap: Leaf Storm considering it would work great with contrary. Toxic to kill pokemon like that Ditto-Arceus, in case Ame plans on doing this again (I don't remember if it's available yet though) Protect for the toxic/leechseed effects Or Dragon Pulse if possible Leech Seed is definitly going to stay, it helps with my Gyarados DragonDancing and my Gardevoir Calm Mind As of now I use his Leaf Blade to kill when can, but mostly I use Leech Seed to help other pokemon surviving while getting stronger as I said. Covet to get some items from wild pokemon when needed. Problem: She dies easily too but I don't really know what to do since Linoon is one of the best slaves that exist, and she's cute too :3 Also, when i first started playing Pokémon when I was ten (pokémon red), and the game would ask me "do you want to give your pokémon a nickname ?" I was always thinking "naaah Ash doesn't nickname his pokémon so I won't" But now I think nicknames are kinda cool, only problem is I lack of inspiration, so I was wondering, how do you guys choose what to call you pokémon ? Just so I can get an idea on how to do it and maybe get some more inspiration :/ Pointless Edit : Also please Ame gimme my Feebas D:

Basically there is everything to translate yes, and it would take quite some time and wouldn't be easy, but far from impossible in my opinion. As Ame said, it makes sense that we should wait until the game is 100% finished as we could see in episode 11 with all the changes that were made, I'm guessing it could happen again, and then we'd have to go back and change the translation. Keep in mind that moves/abilities/pokémon names and such things already have translations, so it would make it easier. Not easy though of course, but still easier. As for the non-dialogue text (bookcases, the questions to reach Florinia and everything of the sort), it just adds up to the task, but it doesn't make it harder. I know there is still a long way before the game is finished, but when it is, you can definitly count me in for the French translation.

What do you mean by variables to be redefined/changed ? Just out of curiosity, I don't understand howtranslating the game requires changing them, but I'm probably missunderstanding something

The download links issue is kind of a problem indeed, but I think it's possible to figure something out about this. As for the puns, it is true that translating puns from one language to another isn't easy, but with a little smart thinking it should be feasible. The great amount of text is really not a problem though, I mean sure it makes it a long task to translate, but it doesn't make it harder. (unless I'm missing something of course). Hello guys and girls. If you don't want to read useless crap, I suggest you skip the introduction, and go right ahead to the little "==>" because I like to take my time for the preliminaries, you know, the whole explaining how I came to write this topic and all. For all the others who want to enjoy a good reading and some happiness along with it, you can start the reading right here~~ It has been a while since the last time I wrote something on the forum so most of you probably dont know me and the others must have forgotten me. I learnt something recently, and I had to share this with you humans, as it is my duty as a heavenly creature to do so. I was talking to my little demon of a brother about this game, praising its challenging level compared to regular gf's Pokémon games, and its dark atmosphere, and I would make a list of all the things I like about it, but that would be quite long, and seeing as I tend to write big blocks of text already, I will spare you this. The point is, he watched me play it many times, and told me that many of his friends played Pokémon, and he was quite sure that they would enjoy this game. Except... They suck at English ! And that is when it struck me... And I was like "WHAT ? I thought everyone spoke English, and it was the only Human Language blah blah blah" And so it appears that not only are there other languages that Humans use, but also there are Humans who don't speak English very well, or AT ALL ! Yes, yes it must surprise you as well... So then I thought, well since those friends of my brother's would play this game if they didn't suck at English, maybe there was something that could be done about it. So here where my two options : 1 - Put my glasses on, take my whip and submit them into learning some English. 2 - Take my whip and submit them. But I thought I might enjoy it a bit too much, especially the whole whip-thing, and it would deviate from its initial prupose. ==> So I was thinking, couldn't we try to translate the game ? For instance, I'm French, but I believe I'm quite good in English (and don't hesitate to correct and punish me if I'm wrong about it), and I wouldn't mind translating it if Amethyst would, of course, in her legendary goodness (and I insit on the word legendary as we all know Ame is obviously pure evil, so her goodness can only be a legend ) give me her permission to do so. Whether it's now as she's making the game, or only when it's fully finished, i don't really care, it would be as she pleases of course. And I think people who can translate it into other languages should consider doing so as well. I will be talking to Amethyst by PM about it, but I wanted to create a topic to see what all of you guys would think about this, and who knows maybe she'll stumble upon it and read it herself.

I really like the new sprites and protagonists (Lucia and the white boy - which I didn't get the name if it was given - are my favorites), but while I agree that it is a good idea to let people have more choices on their looks ingame, since it is representative of themselves, I don't really believe that there should be any "quota" of representation of any kind of minority, whether it's in movies, tv shows, or whatever else you could think of. I know in France, there are lots of discussions about this, such as "only 5% of tv presenters are black/arabic/...", or "there should be a 50/50 male and female representation in schools/universities/anythingelseyoucanthinkof", but no matter how hard I try, I just can't understand that. Saying "I want only white people/black people" or saying "I want 60/40 men/women" or "50/50 human/alien" to me it just sounds the same. Why can't we just forget about all this ? There is a 100% human representation everywhere, shouldn't that be all that matters ? I'm not saying we shouldn't fight discriminations of any kind, of course we should and must. What I'm saying is sometimes I feel like we are overdoing it, by seeing discriminations where there are only statistics.

Well yeah it makes sense actually, I'm sure you'll figure something out, with or without a non-binary protagonist, I'm just glad the idea didn't go to waste.

I signed up a while ago, and to be honest I can’t remember exactly when, probably around the time I found out that Pokemon Reborn existed. I chose not to introduce myself to you yet as I thought you weren’t ready to meet one of us Angels. Nor did you deserve to know about our presence amongst your spieces. (The truth being that I just didn’t know what I wanted to say just yet, but try to ignore that part please). Not all of us have genders, but we can choose to take one if it suits us. That is why you may think of me as a “he”. I mean, you know… A male. I actually do look like a human male, body and all. Okay let’s be serious now. I’m AngelGozen, but I’d rather you called me Angel please =) I’m a guy, who likes to play Pokémon games, and I found Pokémon Reborn as I was looking for a good RPG Maker Made Pokémon, that actually was not just an attempt to copy GF’s games, or just another aborted project (I find a lot of those). Needless to say I was really satisfied when I found it. I love the dark atmosphere, and also the maturity of this game. It is the first game where the “bad guys” really are bad, and actually fight for real. About me… Well I live in Lyon, south-east of France, and I'm 22-ish (in about 2 weeks). My English may be a little broken, so sorry about that. I like books, I read a lot of them. My favorite ones being about witches/shapeshifters/vampires/gods and all that. I have a fascination for angels (in case you didn’t notice) not only religion related ones, but them too. I would say that me being gay is irrelevant, but seeing that this game is the first one where a character is gay, I don’t see a reason for me not to say it (I did play a romhack where the Daycare couple was actually two married guys. Was funny, but not as nice as seeing Cain =) ) Also, I like writing. A lot. Stupid things, little stories, myths, thoughts. Whatever comes to my mind. Seeing the Fairy type gym leader introduced to the game as a non-gendered person was really nice, and it made me think : why couldn't we have a non-gendered protagonist for those of us who don’t want to be male or female, or want to be both ? So maybe we can discuss it here, or I’ll open a thread elsewhere if needed, ‘cause I really think the idea should be at least considered =) The game being really tough, but not too much is what makes it almost perfect to me. “Almost” because nothing really is perfect, and also because to my mind Cain being the only gay character (for now anyway) I find it a bit sad that he is the exact gay cliché. Great Job anyway ! For mere humans, you do impress me !
