    So this is gonna suck... I have to teach myself Eigenvalues, partial derivatives, fourier analysis, curl operations... basically all of Calc III in a few weeks so I can actually understand the math behind my research topic.

      While I only have relatively limited knowledge in fourier analysis & curl operations, I have a reasonable understanding of Eigenvalues and partial derivatives. I'm no expert, but if you need a hand, drop me a pm and I'll see if I can help!

      It's easier than you think it is. Just don't force yourself. Be willing to backtrack. Also, practice. Do all that and you'll be fine.
