Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Chim replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Jory, DarkLight and Tacos Before Sawsbuck could react to what Corona told him, a Roselia followed by a human showed up. The Prince walked over, thinking this human tried to harm a fellow grass type, and stared down on Ryan with a stern look. This new student better had a decent explanation. Commander (Techie) Brand felt a little disappointed when the Rotom disappeared like that, but after receiving a nudge in the ribs from Redwood, he snapped out of it and started to comment again.- 1255 replies

((Antex, Roy and everyone else in the class)) "Is that really something a teacher should say?" Lane sighed before turning his attention to Antex and Roy who had addressed him. "Who said I'm going to endanger myself? Look, you guys don't understand. You want to know why I called these cards dangerous?" This time he also revealed his Utopia card alongside Acid Golem. "I don't know how to explain this, and it may sound ridiculous, but the duel I fought felt real. And as soon as my opponent summoned this Acid Golem thing, he started to act strange. It was almost like he was possessed or something." The young rebel shook his head in frustration. Somehow he felt his story wouldn't have the impact he tried to achieve; stopping people from blindly investigating Tenjo's death. "Before everyone decides to play detective, I just want you to realize what you're getting yourself into. The guy I got this card from said I'm just like the Professor. I failed to find out which one he meant since he lost his friggin mind!"

[OOC/Sign-ups] Surge Story
Chim replied to Sutoratosu's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
I'm all for Surge 2.0 but it might get confusing with this one still running. And since we lost a few players along the way, it may be better to just start over. If that's the case and you start over I might still go with Logan and even give him a backstory this time. And if I do that I just want to keep the Meganium and Walrein evolution lines. If you're going to run both at the same time I'll probably make a new character to avoid confusion on my part. Also if we can make suggestions: I would like to see some extra NPCs in the squad to befriend. In a war not everyone will survive so there's a lot of potential character development by killing those NPCs.- 1189 replies

((Zander and the classroom I guess)) Lane silently cursed and picked up the card as soon as Zander released his shirt. “Believe me, you don't want this card. I dueled someone for it and... it's hard to explain but it was almost like the guy got possessed by it or something.” He sighed as the other boy proposed to create an investigation group. “I know I'm not one to talk but you should really reconsider this. I saw what these cards could do. They really are dangerous.”

It depends on the RoG member you're listening in on. Unfortunately for you the people in charge of this mission (aka Doc) is relentless and will go straight for the kill. Or abduction and torture might be nice. Just be glad you aren't one of the four members that messed up. But I won't use it. I will always give a way out unless you are really dumb and enjoy getting into situations like this.

What are DASTARDS, precious? And I found a style for Evan: Copycat Reeves. That should suit him just fine at this point.

Pokemon Academy Ch. 3: Queued-Up Battles

Danielle vs Evan "By the dumbest guy in the entire school," Evan snorted at Danielle's comment. "Pull a Jacob," he said as the Mawile approached. Since everyone seemed to enjoy naming their tactics, Evan decided to just steal them and use the trainer's names. Triton saw Zared coming at him and froze the ground in between them with Aurora Beam. Attacking head on wouldn't work on him so he continued to freeze the field and started to slide, using his tail to navigate. "Lana." This tactic worked a little bit different compared to the original, but the field worked in Evan's favor as Triton shot up multiple water pulses against the steel cage. The attacks bursted into smaller parts and started raining down. -
Well I prefered to introduce this when two experienced RPers would battle each other but this might be a decent test to see how Azery does. At least it gives him a chance.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]

Jory and DarkLight Sawsbuck fiercly tore with his hoof through the ground. Humans threatening his forest? Fools! He then turned his attention directly to Corona and demanded more information about this mean boy. Zephyr “Did I say something wrong?” Tyron asked surprised. He watched over his shoulder to Lana, who kept silent. Somehow she had to warn Raiza... Commander (Techie) Brand was startled by Techie's sudden appearance but recovered quickly. Completely sidetracked, and missing the last part of the ongoing battle, he started to study the Ghost type. “A Rotom? Interesting... where did you come from?” Hosts (Faust and Azery) Since Brand was being occupied with Techie, Redwood announced the next field. “Wind field. To make a long explanation short, I suggest we wait for the field to appear.” The mechanism did its work again and a few minutes later a normal looking battlefield appeared, except for the wind turbines at each of the four corners and some weird spirals on the ground. “Now each of those four turbines will activate the moment you push that big red button they all have. However, those spirals in the ground aren't there for show.” Right at that moment a loud noise came from under the field and both Mareek and James could hear and feel the wind blowing through. “Right now the wind there blows clockwise. After a certain amount of time the wind will change and blow in the opposite direction. The four turbines are there to make it harder or easier depending on how you use them. Be aware; only one powerful jet of wind will blow in a straight line. That means from the corner of the field to the middle. Only a Pokémon can activate them by using a move on it. “I hope all is clear? If so, James and Mareek can start their battle!” ((The Turbines activate when you post one of your moves hit it. The spirals on the ground start blowing in the opposite direction every third post so keep count.)) Plot (Kenny's Death) As Ringleader and his goons left Kenny behind, the boy released his Zorua and Lucario. He started talking to them about what just transpired when they heard a Zubat fly over and a voice whispering. Kenny immediately instructed his Zorua to cover the trio by using an illusion and snuck closer. Somehow this whispering was really unsettling. “Mission clear. Galen was notified. What to do with Reeves?” “Inform him as well. We can't afford lose ends with Devin Cadmus on our case. We were lucky you found out almost immediately so we still have the advantage.” “Roger. I'll take care of it. Anything else?” “How's Redwood's research going? Has he made progress?” “Yes, he's been studying Sycamore's theories. The man's research proved to be very accurate.” “We already possess all of his original theories and documents. We need something new.” “Why don't you let me talk then? I was getting to that part. Sycamore got a lot further. I managed to get a decent look at the files, but I haven't copied them yet. Redwood is still making marks and writing down his own theories. At this rate it should be complete when our forces arrive. Also he may have found new species that are able to Mega Evolve. I'm pretty sure he discovered a Mega Stone that isn't in Sycamore's files. Unfortunately he doesn't know what species it belongs to nor does he has the second stone. “That's actually good news. I'll make sure to notify Doc. Anything else to report? Any problems we should be aware off?” “A small one just occurred. It's nothing I can't handle. Over and out.” And before Kenny knew it, or could even react, a Weavile was standing in front of him. “Do it!” was all he heard before the dark type slashed him apart and his body fell on the ground. Blood quickly surrounded the lifeless body of the student. The Weavile then turned his attention to Kenny's Pokémon and swiftly knocked them out. A few minutes later there was no trail to be found. Kenny and his Pokémon had disappeared into nothing. Not even his family or their Herdiers were able to find the smallest clue.- 1255 replies

@Turbo: I decided not to let Robert obtain Zorua right now. I first want to see his reaction when Kenny's body is found AFTER the tournament. People can notice him being absent or something but that's about it. The main problem is that the Zorua already, more or less, has a personality and stuff. I will leave the option open for the future but it depends on Robert's choices from now on.

Pokemon Academy Ch. 3: Queued-Up Battles
Chim replied to Jory's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Raiza vs Ryan (Forest Field, remember 2 vs 2 singles and no switching out) As soon as Brand was done announcing the battle between Raiza and Ryan, the forest field rose up from the ground. It looked identical as the one that was used the first day; 8 random tries that were connected with thick ropes. Small drones flew around to film the entire thing. All that was left to do was for both students to release their first Pokémon. Danielle vs Evan Evan didn't even bother faking a smile. All he did was give Danielle the finger as he released his first Pokémon; Vaporeon. The water type stared at his opponent and knew exactly why Evan has chosen him. Nike, the Ninetales, didn't like to battle so there was the possibility she would lose due to her nature. And since Evan disliked their opponent so much it wasn't really a surprise to start with his ace. “Water Pulse!” Triton obeyed immediately and fired one blue sphere towards Zared. Let's see what this Steel type got. -
((Anna / Zander)) Lane was barely paying attention. The card he 'won' yesterday in the duel against Adam was lying on his desk as the memories played through the young rebel's head over and over again. What were these cards? And what did those visions, or whatever it was, mean? “Iz...an..a..mi??” Those words were enough to snap Lane back to reality. Who just said that? He looked around the classroom and eventually found the girl, only for her to sprint away as soon as the bell rang. Lane cursed. He immediately grabbed his card and started a pursuit, knocking over his desk, as he barely dodged Zander who had approached Anna. In his manoeuver he dropped his card by accident as it fell face upwards next to Zander so the boy could read it; Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction. “Oh, sorry about that. I tried catching up with... nevermind.”

Why don't you get a Vaporeon? Vaporeon's for everyone! And it's going to kick Zared's metal ass Also Raiza vs Ryan can start in the battle topic as soon as I update! It will take a while since I planned to kill Kenny when James vs Mareek starts. Btw I randomized the water field again... I think the randomizer counts 1-2-3-4-5-1-7... Or it just likes water. However this time only I'm allowing a second option. If you both agree I'm going to pick field number 6 for you.

Pokemon Academy Ch. 3: Queued-Up Battles
Chim replied to Jory's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Alright, this is a new day (day 2 of the Cup and it's 10 AM when the first battle starts). I already mentioned the rules in the OOC: 2 vs 2 single battles, no switching allowed. Danielle vs Evan After Brand's excited explanation about the new field, a field with a steel cage rose up from underground. It was smaller compared to a normal field, or any of the others, limiting the room for dodging. And to secure the titanium bars Brand's company had made sure all attacks could be absorbed. There was no explanation how it worked, since Brand didn't want to bore the audience, as he waited for Danielle and Evan to arrive. He did explain one crucial detail: leaving the cage through the bars, which was possible for Ghosts and small Flying types, would resolve in a forfeit. Aside from that there were no additional rules as it was basically a brawl in a steel cage. ((Think the size of a boxing ring, only a little wider)) Slade vs Jacob ((Field number 3: fire field!)) In front of Jacob and Slade a new battlefield arose from the ground. It looked pretty normal except that this time also parts of the grounds between the field and the audience were replaced and soon they were surrounded by molten lava. The temperature sky rocketed and people on the front seats already started to sweat. But this field also had safety measures; Pokémon couldn't get knocked into the lava. A metal construction made sure to guarantee a Pokémon's safety, but of course it couldn't stop a fire type from diving straight into it. There was one downside; the bars were incredibly hot so burns were more likely to happen. Finish the battles at your own pace, but try to finish them up before the IC reaches the point where your battle is next. You should have enough time though. -
And I killed the OOC activity. Never mind. I got ninja'd by Faust. While I'm waiting for Robert vs Ryan to finish, I'm already going to start the next battles. Evan vs Danielle and Slade vs Jacob can start in the battle topic as soon as I update the fields. And I can introduce 2 new ones at the same time. I'm just going to give a description on how it looks like, but not in RP form. I'm still keeping Brand's explanations for the IC. The new rules for this round: - 2 vs 2 single battles - No switching out, not even after a knock-out

Yay for 12 hour work shifts! @Turbo: I haven't planned anything yet. I was thinking about his team getting stolen or something by RoG. If you want the Zorua, and don't pull any BS with it, that's fine by me. But it's as Dobby said: those NPCs are going to bug you about it. I'll see what I can come up with to keep Zoro away from the entire scene.
-
I'm postponing that part until Mareek vs James starts. But this might be another opportunity to get Robert involved. Since he dodged every option to obtain information about Evan's fifth (aka the Zubat), maybe revenge would trigger his interest.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Chim replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Jory and DarkLight All the Sawsbuck and Deerling that were gathered stopped their activities and turned their attention to the group. It had been awhile since humans, especially students, dared to approach the strongest Pokémon in the entire forest like that. The Sawsbuck in question just stared at the group, keeping his guard up. The intensity of the stare was strong enough to scare off most people, but eventually he nodded, giving permission to the students to speak. Zephyr “Bless you,” Tyron said with a straight face. He obviously misunderstood what the man just said. Commander (Techie) Brand's comments suddenly turned from normal to squeaky and ridiculous sounding. It took about a minute for the CEO to realize this as he suddenly stared at his microphone in confusion. He gave Redwood a question look, only to find his oldest friend snickering. He then turned to Devin, but the Elite Four Member pretended he didn't see or hear anything. “What's going on?” he asked in general. “Is this thing broken?” He picked up the mic and started to study it. Dobby Good, that annoying Lapras is outside. Time to reclaim some territory inside! Out of Claude's vision, a plan to reclaim the entire lake was being set in motion. A large Crawdaunt swam at high speed, terrorizing some of the other wild Pokémon and jumped out between some rocks. Oh? A Human and his Pokémon? What are they doing here? The Crawdaunt circled around and positioned himself behind the young Coordinator. Maybe they want to claim the lake as well? Are they strong? If those Pokémon are well trained they should be... Only one way to find out! Crawdaunt carelessly approached Claude and his Pokémon and placed himself in front of them, glaring at each party member. Suddenly he pointed to Claude, who he assumed was the leader, grabbed him and threw him in the lake. The water type bursted out into laughing before jumping in himself as he quickly disappeared from sight. These intruders weren't worth the trouble after all.- 1255 replies
