    Ishmael didn't waste any time closing the distance between him and the Beast, not even aware of the damage it took going through the steam. Joey didn't hesitate. “Keep that thing in place and use Crunch!” The Gyarados obeyed as he tried to wrap his body around the Beast's leg, like a snake, and prepared to take a big bite out of it.

    I guess I'll make the first move against the Beast. I'll get something up after my indoor football match.

    Since Johanna hasn't replied to what Nikki said, I think I'll wait for Huk so he doesn't fall behind.

    I came back yesterday night. I'll catch up when I had some more sleep but I think I left things with Joey refusing to go after the Camerupt.

    Looks like we won't be able to finish this battle before I leave for a few days. I guess you can either knock Joey out or bunny him.

    “Isn't that thing a fire type like the rest of them?” Joey cursed when Ishmael's attack failed. It only seemed to anger the Gyarados even more as the Serpent countered the fire attack with another Aqua Tail, extinguishing most of the fire while only sustaining minimal damage. And all Ismael did was glare at the Beast. Joey recognized the behavior. Ishmael had given in into his rage and refused to back down from this opponent. He didn't even react to the woman with the Electrode who interfered with his battle. “Sorry, but Ismael has his eyes set on this thing and I won't change his mind. That Aqua Tail from earlier was a challenge. He even started Dragon Dancing without my command; that's how much he wants to take that Beast down. And once his temper takes over, he doesn't care who stands in his way,” Joey said to Nikita.

    I'm pretty sure Stratos has a counter for that. For example he can easily lure Ismael in and burn him with Steam Eruption. Aqua Tail is the only way I can attack from a distance by shooting the water instead of smacking it right into Volcanion's face.

    Arcadia meant more to Joey than just a place to battle strong trainers. He had hoped to find his way, to know what he had been doing all this time was the right path. And to find a place where he belonged. All the questions that dwelled around in his mind ever since he lost that final battle. Those questions had led him to this very ship where he stared at a beast he had never seen before while carrying Ishmael's Pokéball in his hand. “So all this crap about the Brotherhood is true? There really is a bunch of nutjobs trying to push their will onto the world? Guess I got no choice...” Joey said while staring into the Beast's eyes. The young trainer was barely able to dodge most of the incoming steam. “Son of a...!' he cursed when his right hand touched the steam right after he released Ishmael. The Gyarados released a mighty roar on appearance as he glared at his opponent with bloodlust in his eyes (Intimidate). Without waiting for a command the Serpent gave in into his primal instincts when adrenaline and anger filled his entire body. Joey smirked. “Too bad my friend can easily put out your fire,” he said while water surrounded his partner's tail. With another angry roar the Gyarados finally released a powerful swing, aiming at his opponent's face. (Aqua Tail)

    Joey was pretty pleased with himself when he managed to get a chuckle out of the Ice Queen next to him. Humor always worked when it came to talking to girls. The feeling disappeared slowly when the man with the shades made clear that everything he heard about Arcadia was a lie. He even made it even sound like some world domination war was going on. Joey sighed and stayed still during the entire conversation. This wasn't what he signed up for. Even after all hell broke lose, the young man stayed on his seat, not even blinking an eye when the Ice Queen woke her Pokémon up. Instead Joey sighed once again. “Look, I came here to test my skills and worth as a Pokémon trainer, not to join a bunch of delusional world savers that's fighting a war with nutjobs”, he said to no one in particular. “But if they want to pick a fight with me because I happened to be here, fine.” The blonde walked straight towards the noise with a Pokéball in his hand, obviously in a bad mood now that his destination had turned into a lie.

    Yeah sorry about that. I didn't expect yesterday to be that hectic. I'm going home now and I'll try to get something up before I go to work.

    Dogsitting for my sister in her house, one of the Chihuahua's that's not hers immediately escapes and I found it after 2 freaking hours, only to get licked. I hate Chihuahua's.

      She's taking care of them while their owners are on holiday for 3 weeks. Today is the only day they had planned something so that's where I come in.

    “I don't remember all that much about it,” Joey said while he grabbed a cup of hot chocolate and some cream. He carefully moved the cream in specific way. Careful not to mess up his cup he grinned to the woman next to him. “Look! Octillery!” As he imitated the water type's face and stared at everyone, his eye eventually fell onto the man in charge. “Oh yeah, sorry, you were going to give us a history lesson. I don't really see the point though...”

    My friends and I are actually planning to go to Italy next year. Might as well visit Bologna and stalk you until you feed me.

    Hey, we're the same age! And yet I'm just a little Seviper with trust issues that's trying to fend off popular Clefairy's. Even though that was just Survivor, the same applies on the forums. You have this talent that makes people root for you even though they might not know you personally. We never talked before, and I didn't know you're a trans, but to put it bluntly: I don't give a fuck about your gender because that doesn't define who you are. Sure, I understand it's not easy but I can never truly imagine how hard it must be because I never faced the same problems. But just look at this place, even just this thread, and you see what I mean. What you've accomplished is a far more defining quality to measure someone's life with. I just want to thank you for creating this place.

    Things escalated quickly when the woman next to him got into an argument with a guy named Felix. Other people interfered but Joey did nothing except for moving his hand in front of his mouth and making weird throat noises that only the people close to him could hear. When things seemed to calm down, Joey's muffled snickering escaped passed his hand and it didn't take long before he bursted out into laughing. “S-sorry,” he snickered, “but that was funny! Felix, was it? You wanted to protect me by flexing your muscles? That's the best excuse I've ever heard! But are you sure you weren't trying to show off?” The blond man took a deep breath and placed his hand on his ribs. “Man, I think I broke a rib or two while laughing...”

    That's exactly why I went there. xD And I feel like Johanna is the most interesting 'encounter' for Joey based on what I've seen so far and read in the applications. Besides, he wouldn't be Joey if he didn't try to talk to every girl (and Yuuki) on the ship.

    “Finally, I thought you'd never ask!” Joey said as he hurried onto the ship and made his way to the conference room. “Now where is that hot chocolate?” he muttered as his eye fell on the woman with the cane who was sitting far away from everyone else. The young man's interest was immediately peeked. A sole woman, stranded on an adventure of her own, surely could use a knight in shining armor right? “This one looks like an Ice Queen... but I do like a challenge!” the young man said to himself as he made his way over. “Hey there, mind if I sit next to you?” He asked as he approached. He gave her the friendliest smile he could muster in an attempt to defrost her a little bit.

    Joey panicked as he jumped back when he saw the incoming wave. His hand automatically slipped to his belt as he grabbed Ishmael's ball and held it in front of him. He breathed heavily as he assessed the situation and it took him a minute or two to finally calm down. “I do like your style, girl!” he said to Nikki, “but maybe we're doing this the wrong way? So let me handle this one,” he said with a wink as he walked in front of the gathered group. “Hey, Captain, ever had the feeling you just had to go somewhere no matter what? I can't exactly tell you my reason to go to Arcadia but I just have to, alright? So why don't we do each other a favor and help one another? If you can even take me a little closer to my destination, I offer my work spirit to you and help out on your ship. What do you say? Can we hop on?”

    Joey got a little annoyed when someone translated the sign language. It was hard enough to keep his feet from freezing off and all the young trainer wanted was to find a place he could warm up and find a new way to reach Arcadia. He started to move around a little to regain feeling in his frozen limbs, when a woman in front of him spoke up and went looking for the captain. “Going straight into action, eh? That's my type of woman!” he grinned as he followed the yet unnamed female.

    “Ugh I hate this weather!” Joey complained out loud. The cold, chilly snowflakes made him feel down and a little moody. It didn't help that his shoes weren't made to withstand the muddy watery substance that covered the ground. His feet were soaked and felt like they would freeze off any moment, resulting in Joey fastening his pace. The sooner he could find a boat to take him to Arcadia the better. He walked alongside the water while keeping his gaze onto every ship he passed. Joey didn't look forward to travel across the vast and deep sea, but if it was the only way to reach Arcadia... Besides, he still had Ishmael in case anything happened. That thought alone was the sole reason that kept him going. The safety his Gyarados offered and the memories of his devastating loss in the Unova League's finals. At least he knew his rival wouldn't travel all the way to Arcadia. It took Joey a few more minutes to reach the dock where a sign told him he had reached his destination. He quickly cheered up and got to the small waiting line. “Yoo, is this partyline to Arcadia?” he asked to no one in particular.

    Because she doesn't have a Farfetch'd. But I don't like that Electrode either.

    The thought certainly crossed my mind... I think the only one he might stay away from is Johanna because that Farfetch'd might stab him to death. xD

    Not quite but close. I gave my character some traits that can easily get him into trouble with females without the need of those accidents. But I can always cause them. Water mono. I like to have a wide pool to pick from but I do have a theme going on. And water mono gives me all the Pokémon I need to show development, meet the standards for an experienced trainer that stood out, and a backstory.
