    Why is Europe's military so small in each country? It's like smaller than the individual militaries of most African countries.

      Because we unfortunately have to bear the burden of big brother. As much as we say "We need to stop policing" the world needs us, and we need them.

      Well as a European (from Portugal a country that mostly keeps to itself in wars) we don't have a need for a military. We have a good one, with some pretty badass special forces but actual military is weak. Mostly because: we don't need one. We are part of NATO. If you mess with us you get to fight America. And then it's America problem, not ours. :3
