A crack could be heard as Rose landed on the ground with a thump, her arm with the injured shoulder landing under her at an awkward angle. Still, the girl did not stir, too deeply unconscious to notice the new injury that had been created.

Rose, Ellaria, and Enya were practically flying up the staircase. They saw Annie and Ethic, and Rose shouted, "Freeze!" to the creatures they were fighting. Continuing past them, and accidentally brushing against Ethic, she and the girls burst onto the top of the garden. Rose gathered the girls close to her and found a place to conceal themselves. After that, she ripped her jacket off, unprepared for the pain but knowing she had to stop the bleeding. Laying down tentatively on one sleeve of her jacket, she placed the other on her wound and applied pressure, feeling the wooziness of energy loss beginning to hit her. "Girls," she said quietly, trying not to alert others or slur her words, "we're at the top. Let's... Take a..." But before she could finish her sentence, Rose slumped away into unconsciousness, her hand sliding away from her wound.

Rose kept running, cursing her love of flip flops at that particular moment. Though it seemed that the creatures had lost interest in them, Rose wasn't going to take any chances. The young woman looked up and, with great surprise, noted they were half way there. "So close! Just keep running girls!" she encouraged, as much for herself as it was for them. Rose could feel the blood dripping out of her shoulder, but wasn't worrying about that now. All she could think about was getting to the top, and wrapping her shoulder then, before she inevitably passed out. Passing Mr. Taylor, she called out, "Freeze!" wincing internally. No pun, there would be hell to pay later for this energy expansion.
