Dark Arisen is kinda worth it on my opinion. Well, I bought a version that was a bit cheaper at a local gamestore, so I was happy ^^ Bitterblack impressed me pretty much, it´s one of the most fun dungeons in any game.It can be seen as your average expansion, a bit more than a dlc and better in terms of quality with some nice ideas. There´s one thing that disappointed me though: They took out the awesome main-menu music

My message is too long to be shown by me. What I wanted to say is that it depends on your skill. You should be around 100-120 and if you can get around Everfall without getting into trouble a lot, you´ll do fine. Just do everything from the endgame and then head to bitterblack. You can always go back anyway, if you notice you´re at the brink to insanity. It´s difficult, but you´ll get used to it.If you got through the whole dungeon once, you should to also do it again.
