    I don't know why, but my inkays refuse to evolve when I hold the 3ds upside down unless I level them up by rare candy instead of battling. It's weird.

      I think Inkay needs to level up by battle with the 3ds upside down.

      But no matter how good or bad Malamar and Inkay are, their evolution method is one of the best

      Didn't you read? That's what I tried to do, but it didn't work. Only if I hold it upside down and give it a rare candy after level 30 does it work.
