I never caught a shiny. The only one I saw was a lvl 3 Ekans, right beside the Bridge Fisher Ralph is on, on your way to the pokemon center before the cave in between Violet City and Azalea Town. I had no pokeballs. not one. Always keep at least 10 since then.. but I never saw a shiny ever. I had to kill it. ;w; I stayed on that screen for like 3-5 hours, just QQing. XD
