  1. Good eye. Now nobody will ever have to look under a truck ever again lol. Everything about Byxbysion and everything that happens there is strange; e.g. Mr Bigglesworth, spectral Kiki, the entire Beldum event, etc. And now we have Mew. If we ever get to use Rock Climb in this place, I'm genuinely scared to see what we'll find.
  2. Not even a little bit surprised lol. Also, I did a double-take when I saw a bunch of Level 1 Mew listed under the encounters for the Wasteland Wall.
  3. Hey everyone! Ok, so I made a comment on another thread a while back that I wanted to hear some opinions on. Since I never got any responses, I thought I would share my thoughts here. For simplicity's sake, I just copy/pasted the original text. Here it is, right below the line: (And before you ask, yes, this is more-or-less based on BST) ------------------------------------------------------ [Original Post] I'm not pretending to be any sort of authority on this, but I think I came up with a pretty good system for Legendary battle music. I thought it would be a bit shortsighted to use the same theme for every single Legendary, being that there are so many now and that there is a ton of variety between them all. Tell me what you guys think: Team Galactic Boss Battle Remix: * plays for: Arceus (and vs. Lin? I'd like that a lot) Hoenn Weather Trio Remix v.II: * plays for: Cover Legendaries, Mewtwo, Regigigas 'Battle- Legendary.mp3': * plays for: Mythical Pokemon (as defined in Bulbapedia apart from Arceus and Keldeo), Lati@s, Heatran, Cresselia, Landorus, Zygarde, Necrozma OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire Zinnia Battle Remix: * plays for: Legendary Birds, Legendary Beasts, Regi Trio, Lake Guardians, Swords of Justice, Tornadus, Thundurus, Island Guardians Sun and Moon Team Skull Battle Remix: * plays for: Ultra Beasts EDIT: Glitch's new Lusamine theme would be a really great fit for the Elite 4 imo. Let's hope with every fiber of our beings that Laura doesn't get Sky Forme Shaymin; if that thing can get proper support in a double battle while on the Flower Garden Field, we might be in for a fight that's a good deal harder than pre-nerf Serra and Charlotte, and I don't even know how that's possible. I wouldn't put it past Ame considering how Nostra is almost definitely a real Jirachi that will eventually be hitting the MC's 'mons up with a 840 BP Doom Desire after STAB. And I don't even want to imagine what Bennett would do with a Genesect...
  4. @Amethyst I didn't even make this post, but thanks nonetheless! This is super helpful. While I did check out the guide to PBS files on the Pokemon Essentials wikia, I'm still a bit confused about how determining the encounter rate for wild Pokemon works. I know there are the three numbers at the top of each area, but I don't know how they apply when there are more lines than numbers, as the wikia entry is kinda vague on that. Would anyone care to explain it to me?
  5. Even 36 hours wouldn't be too unbearable imo, but 5 days is definitely excessive.
  6. Looks like today is the 6-year anniversary of my signing up on these forums! I was a preteen squeaker back then, oh lord haha. I've been a lurker for about 80% of those 6 years, and I kinda wish that I had stayed along for the ride. Bonds could've been formed, and I could've gotten a unique experience out of this great community. But I was younger, and circumstances got in the way -- and I didn't know any better. I remember when the old site had less than 30 members, and our Pokemon Online server was home to less than a dozen at a time ._.  It's crazy to think about, really. A lot has changed in my life over that span of years, and because of that, I didn't even have time to play games of any genre after Gen 5; much less Pokemon Online (which I had uninstalled) or Showdown (which I hadn't heard of yet). Eventually, Reborn completely slipped my mind. So when I heard a little over a year ago that some vaguely familiar names to me including Ame and Ikaru were well into the process of completing a Reborn fangame (that was successful enough where even big YouTubers like shofu gave it a go), and that this community grew to a larger size than I could've ever imagined, nostalgia rushed to me and I knew I eventually had to come back. So here I am. Expect to see my name around here a lot more often!

  7. This is very nice! I made something like this in another thread, where Pokemon holding a certain held item (don't know what it should be called) would be able to set up a field by using the field's Nature Power move. The item would be like a Mega Stone in that only one Pokemon per team can utilize it. So for example, a Breloom using Rock Tomb while holding this item would create a Cave, which would last until terminated. Since that capability could be game-breaking in a lot of circumstances, I added as a caveat that the item will only allow Pokemon to create fields that can actually be terminated (with moves not named Electric, Grassy, and Misty Terrain) -- and something like the Water Surface would also count under this, since you could theoretically use Blizzard followed by EQ to terminate it. Alternatively, one could use a Magnezone (w/ item) to set up the Short-circuit Field by packing Electric Terrain and Discharge; or even (w/o item) use ET, Volt Switch out into a Lapras (w/ item) and use Avalanche to create the Snowy Mountain Field. So basically since the only way to terminate the Snowy Mountain is to use one of the terrain moves first, those would be the only avenue to creating it. Granted, my whole concept is more simplistic than yours (since I thought of it with competitive in mind), but what you have here looks great! I really hope we'll get to see something akin to what either of us proposed in a future release. Crossing my fingers for both
  8. Maybe Rock Polish could additionally increase Atk/SAtk? "Practice makes perfect!"
  9. Between the two the Weather Trio is more fitting imo, but I think it should be used when we encounter the legendaries. Fair point; I liked it because of how dark it sounds. As her battle theme, or her encounter theme?
  10. Just wanted to gauge some opinions here. Which of these do you guys think would sound better as the battle theme when we finally face off against Lin? Weather Trio Theme Remix https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ag7KY32GqaA Cyrus Theme Remix https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=w5kGCY_rxew
  11. I love all the shinies that include the seal of Reborn. Ones that I remember off the top of my head are Metagross, Drifblim, and Arceus. Shiny Steelix looks amazing too. And shiny Altaria.
  12. So apparently you have to go back underneath 7th Street for it. https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonReborn/comments/5hrowa/ep_16_discussion_thread/
  13. Reviving this. So, I heard that in E16...
  14. Haha yeah, I probably jinxed myself. After E16 though, I'm pretty convinced that
  15. See, the funny thing is that I used to know that. I let the speculation get the better of me :L It goes: Entry, Low, Middle, High, Elite, Champion. IIRC. So that would make the Elite Block consist of Ciel, Adrienn, and Titania. I don't think Ame would give Legendaries to the final three leaders though (or even to the Elite Four for that matter), like in the real league. Or would she?? The suspense is real.
  16. Ok, now I'm confused. So I searched up some league matches from 2014. Turns out that between irl Ciel and the other in-game Mega users, none of them use the Pokemon that they Mega Evolve in-game. But irl Terra used Mega Chomp?? Check out these links: Terra: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHFq4uJN_tA&index=16&list=PLZSnYRxyQl4rRS3AX9T4FnTXkx7FiNP5- Ciel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FzUuDjzk9A&index=8&list=PLZSnYRxyQl4rRS3AX9T4FnTXkx7FiNP5-
  17. Ahh, I didn't think of that! Terra not using Mega Chomp irl would make this less nonsensical. Especially if Ciel really used Mega Altaria and Still would be lying if I said I didn't want to see it happen, though. Lol
  18. That may be so, but Terra runs Hippo and Excadrill, too. If that's not enough, maybe Ame can give one of her mons Sandstorm? Base Garchomp is more threatening anyway, all things considered. Aesthetically, Solaris having a Mega Chomp definitely works, but it should still be the case that Solaris' ace is more imposing than Terra's. Plus, PULSE Pokemon are a thing, and Team Meteor made them. Their leader having a Mega could be seen as antithetical to the purpose of the PULSE Machines.
  19. This is a bit out of the blue, but I always found it strange that the eccentric gym leader who literally has 'Mega' as her trainer tag doesn't have a Mega-Evolved Pokemon on her team -- namely, Mega Garchomp. It's actually a pretty reasonable pick-up for her, since Mega Garchomp is the only Mega Evolution that arguably makes its base form worse overall. Granted, that might be nullified by the level advantage it has on the MC's team, but nerfs or buffs to her team can be given appropriately. I still think it's a great idea. This change would primarily serve to differentiate Terra's Garchomp from Solaris' Garchomp, which is iconic at this point, let's face it. And even beyond that, Mega Garchomp hits much harder than its vanilla form while being slower (like Terra lugging around her mallet), and it just straight-up looks like a Pokemon that Terra would use. Not to mention, Garchomp is her ace. One would hope that such a unique character would have a unique signature mon. Thoughts?
  20. Which characters do you think we'll see in E17? I took the liberty of putting together a list of the last time each character made an appearance in a plot-related capacity. Correct me on any mistakes. Here's E1-E15: Not Yet In Story ---------------------------------- Arclight Episode 6 ----------------- Victoria (Apophyll Academy) Episode 8 ----------------- Serra (Voclain Estate) Episode 9 ----------------- Lin (Tanzan Meteor Base) ZEL (Tanzan Meteor Base) Episode 10 ----------------- Adrienn (Coral Ward) Episode 11 ---------------- Elias (Subseven Sanctum) Radomus (Subseven Sanctum) Bennett (Iolia Valley) Luna (Iolia Valley) Episode 13 ----------------- Anna (Calcenon City) Aya (Calcenon City) Cain (Calcenon City) Hardy (Calcenon City) Laura (Calcenon City) Noel (Calcenon City) Saphira (Calcenon City) Sigmund (Calcenon City) Charlotte (Calcenon City Gym) Episode 14 ----------------- Aster (Ametrine Mountain) Cal (Ametrine Peak) Heather (Ametrine Peak) Shelly (Ametrine Peak) Samson (Big Top) Terra (Glitch City) Episode 15 ----------------- Shade (Water Treatment Center) Taka (Water Treatment Center) Amaria (Fiore Mansion) Blake (Fiore Mansion) Fern (Fiore Mansion) Florinia (Fiore Mansion) Julia (Fiore Mansion) Sirius (Fiore Mansion) Solaris (Fiore Mansion) Titania (Route 2) Ciel (Big Top) And E16:
  21. That's actually pretty brilliant. Shadows of Almia all over again? I don't know why this possibility never occurred to me until now; good catch!
  22. I'm sure we could come up with a better name if we tried. I was iffy on it too, but I couldn't think of anything else to name it that stayed true to flavor lol. That's open to change, too. But check the link, guys! The way one would create the Cavern here would be to (a. use Rock Tomb with a Pokemon with the special held item (to create a Cave), and (b. use Power Gem with either the same mon or a different mon. It's harder to set up by design, but not impossible. I'm sure there are some really interesting synergistic options for users of those two moves. I can see Breloom and Starmie working well together. As far as making it easier to set up certain fields, idk what a balanced way to implement that would be. Maybe requiring a held item, move, and something else? But then again, it would be super game-breaking if one mon could set up something like the Fairy Tale Field (which you can't terminate) completely on its own. Unless maybe you use one of the three Terrain moves? That could work but then the meta might be heavily centralized around those moves. But then again, you might be onto something.
  23. Right, but in this model, the only way to set up Underwater with PULSE mons is to first set up an Icy Field, turn that into one of the Surface fields, and then Underwater. Nothing can set up Underwater on standard terrain because it's not directly terminable. Mons can't change anything they want in every circumstance lol, that would be totally busted. If you didn't check the link, you should, bc it tells you what can change which fields. It's not final and is definitely open to modification but it will give you a better idea of what things would look like. EDIT: The best scenario I can think of for a team built around the Underwater field is opening with PULSE Lanturn and going for Ice Beam, Whirlpool, and Volt Switch in the first 3 turns. Switch into Manaphy, use Dive, and start setting up Tail Glow. That might be hard to execute because of how low Lanturn's defense stat is. Its HP is high enough that you could probably get away with investing in Defense, but you still might have to play carefully.
