Mah first RMT, and probably only. I was bored and decided why not make an RMT for my main team, so Enjoy!
@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Reckless
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Double-Edge
- Close Combat
- U-turn
Personally, one of my favorite leads. I've had no trouble taking out most other leads with this guy, or just simply switching out into something else via U-Turn (if I think I'm fast, which I usually am) for just a little bit of damage. Pretty standard set, you could run Quick Attack in place of Double-Edge if you REALLY wanted priority but eh. --This guy should really get Extremespeed--
@ Focus Sash
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Focus Blast
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
This guy is pretty anti-weather/anti-entry hazard, though I wish it was Magic Bounce instead of Magic Guard. Oh well, what can you do? Usually I try to get off 1 Calm Mind with this guy before attacking, but it's also really useful if your opponent managed to get a +6 attacker. The Focus Sash obviously guarantees surviving a hit from 100%, which usually it'll have due to Magic Guard, even in sand and hail. You can switch up Psyshock for Psychic as you see fit =P
@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Heat Wave
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [ice]
Standard OP Chandelure set, though I originally ran it with Flash Fire, so you can switch this up if you want. With Flash Fire Chandy basically acts as a default switch in for the predicted Fire type attack against Ferro. I run Heat Wave on this set because this is actually my league team, but in OU 1v1 you can simply change it to something like Over Heat, Fire Blast or Flamethrower.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Spikes
- Power Whip
Another anti-weather guy, the only thing that he's not effective against is Sun, which is easily handled by Chandelure really. I went with Spikes over Stealth Rocks because I don't see enough Flyers/Levitators to justisy using Stealth Rocks instead. It's up to you though. I also use Power Whip over Gyro ball because it kills a lot of Rain stuff.
@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dual Chop
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
I love Garchomp, and if the set isn't Sand Veil/Brightpowder he has no place outside of OU. I use, what I consider one of his signature moves, Dual Chop instead of Dragon Claw because for a minor drop of 10 accuracy you get 2 chances to hit, meaning 2 chances for crits, and on top of that it breaks not only subs usually, but that annoying Multiscale Dragonite. The rest of the set is pretty standard though.
@ Expert Belt
Trait: Motor Drive
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Wild Charge
- Ice Punch
- Cross Chop
- Earthquake
And last but not least, my signature Pokemon. He does pretty damn well at his 317 base speed, and with a single Motor Drive boost he can outspeed quite a lot of common Scarfers. An alternative to this set is replacing Expert Belt with a Choice item, but personally I like Expert Belt more since with this set Vire already covers 13/17 (I think it was) types and with 345 attack, that's not really something to scoff at.
I'd do the "Threats" thing but I don't feel like it.
