  1. Hey, everyone.

I managed to beat the Reborn main game, reaching to Anna Route. That Arc-Pulse was bulky but my Chansey is even bulkier than before. It managed to beat it by Toxic + Soft-Boiled + Seismic Toss trolling. Glad I beat Lin.

  4. Oscarus. Did you see the episode of Leon vs Alain?

That battle was ironic. Even if Leon’s Charizard isn’t chosen to Gigantamax, it still kicks their butt.

  5. I was checking Reborn Wiki for my little "project" and...

Cass, if you see this, I just wanna say... "You rock! 🤟"

    Spoiler

In the Meloetta Quest, you have a mandatory fight against Cass - one of the few times you fight a dev outside of Dev Room.

And her teams (which are 3-on-3) differ on... whether you pet Lumi's Glaceon in Glass Workstation or not. Which might be one of the least expected ways for split. But it makes... a HUGE difference.

If you pet Lumi's Glaceon (which I did in my playthrough; whenever I have the opportunity, I pet cute Pokemon; Glaceon's very cute, all Eeveelutions are - if I could, I would have all of them + Eevee as pets irl), she'll have A-Ninetales, Cinccino and Mega Gardevoir. Pretty solid and standard-fare team, right?

But, if you don't pet Glaceon at least once... Cass will throw at you U-Turning Special Sweeper Naganadel, Dusk Wings Necrozma with Ultranecrozium Z, and Choice Band Rayquaza with Dragon Ascent... oh my god! (at least they didn't have PULSE2...)

Who would've expect that a simple gesture could change one event from doable... to pure agony. That's why I LOVE Reborn - EVERY decision matters. Even the smallest ones. I can't wait for Rejuvenation's V14 when you'll be given the question "Do you prefer Pepsi or Coca-Cola?" and depending on what you pick, someone will battle you with either decently strong team... or Dimensional Rift Ferrothorn, Angel of Death Gardevoir, Dufaux and Puppet Master in 4-on-4 Double Battle on Dimensional Field.

  6. I've never noticed it before... but seeing how Tyranitar can be dangerous on Glitch Field, it truly comes as a surprise how versatile this Pokemon is.

Why, you ask? Because I have just recently realized, while playing some competitive, how Tyranitar's special bulk might come onto play. But step by step:

    • Tyranitar has 100 Base Special Defense, which equals to a maximum of 328.
    • Thanks to Sand Stream, its' Special Defense is increased by 50%, as a nature of being a Rock type
    • Assault Vest also increases Special Defense by 50%, but wearer can use attacks (which isn't a issue in Tyranitar's case as it don't have any reliable status move that increases Special Defense or such)
    • That makes its' Special Defense (and therefore a Special Attack as well) an astounding 738! For comparison, Mega Mewtwo Y's Special Attack caps at 535, barring any stat changes.
    • Tyranitar also has powerful Special movepool with:
      • Flamethrower/Fire Blast
      • Thunderbolt/Thunder
      • Ice Beam/Blizzard
      • Dragon Claw/Outrage (which are Special on Glitch Field)
      • Surf

Honestly, I've gotta check and try if my theory is true. If yes, then I'm much better battle-designer than I thought I was

      N-no... I don't think so.

On Glitch Field, Steel, Dark and Fairy attacks deal Normal-type damage, but they don't become Normal-type, so they aren't affected by "-ate" and "-ize" Abilities except Normalize

  8. You know what would be truly hilarious...?

If in the game there was an Easter Egg where there's a secret room with devs (before the possibly of actually meeting and challenging them) who were talking about some projects or life... but each one in their own, native language.

And, just like in Tekken, everyone would understand each other and continue like nothing happened.

That would work if every person in the said room was from different nation, and no two selected people would speak the same laungage. Also bonus points if the spoken laungage isn't some who is spoken by large masses and is common like English, Spanish, French, Italian etc.

Maybe some like: Hungarian, Swedish, or some "exotic" ones like Hebrew, Arabic, Mandarin, Japanese (so those who use different alphabets than Latin or Cyrillic, which are the most common ones used in Europe and American continents)

I don't know, but it'd be unusual... and hilarious.

      Of course.

As Tyranitar "main", I know their strengths and weaknesses. And how Fighting types are a pain in the ass for Tyranitar if it doesn't have Aerial Ace.

Yes, Trick Room is very beneficial for quite slow Pokemon. I know - I was using Tyranitar in competitive Doubles, and it was dominating.

Oh, and somehow I forgot that Dark-type attacks are Special as well, so Tyranitar could hit with STAB Dark Pulse as well.

  10. I'VE BEATEDN THE E4 FOR THE FIRST TIME WOOO! If I had to rank them from easiest to hardest for me, it would go

    Spoiler

    Anna > Heather > Laura/Bennet > Elias

    Spoiler

Elias was a huge pain  and Lura/Bennet's field was giving me quite the struggle. Heather isn't so bad if you remove her field(her using poison types was cute) and Anna was the only one I beat first try as Excadrill rips much of her team apart. But wait, what happened to her Gothitelle?  I don't remember it during the fight.

Lin was a headache. Both fights for the same reason. And of course she has honchkrow! Gah BUT that actually served me I learned eventually because honchkrow would just spam sucker punch on cloyster if it sash'd through a move, allowing me to set up shell smashes and ice shard him, then take down  Hydriegon with ease and do some damage to the PULSE arc. Several times I got close to defeating the PULSE Arc but Lin would either heal it(booo!) or it'd moonlight itself.  Eventually I got lucky on a quick claw activation winning attempt and was able to KO it before it used moonlight. I was surprised Lin didn't heal it herself but good.

I was kind of confused as to what happened in regards to her Flygon? First time I lost because like no heals after Lin and PULSE arceus is well, TOUGH but after the 4th wall blocking fake error she just replaced flygon with PULSE arc.  I guess it was a design choice done so we wouldn't have to watch the anna scene over an over? Or did I get a bad end because I lost the first time?

  11. I'm so ashamed of not realizing that up until now!

Gen 9 will introduce the first region with TWO primary professors. Of course, there were regions with more professors (Unova had Aurea, Cedric and Fennel; Alola had Kukui, Burnet and Samson; and Galar had Magnolia, Sonia and Hop {to some degree}). But only 1 of them was the main one, while the new one will have two.

We don't know if they will be version-exclusive or be in the same game but one of them is going to be our mentor and the other not, but we know that their names are Sada and Turo.

And only now have I realized that their names come from Spanish words "pasada" and "futuro", which mean "past" and "future" respectively, with the first one being used in "feminine" form and the other in "masculine", since in Spanish nouns (and adjectives) have two forms, if they can refer to either masculine or feminine objects. And that matches well since Sada is a beautiful, wild female, and Turo is a hot, chad man.

Still... I feel stupid for not realizing that despite being learnt Spanish for 6 whole years!

      Unfortunately.

I'd love to see them interacting with each other. Maybe them having rivalry and debating what's better - looking back on the past, or looking forward the future. I bet both of them would have THOUSANDS of arguments to support their choices!

But, as certain tortoise once said:

      Quote

      Yesterday is history

      Tomorrow is a mystery

      But today is a gift.

That's why it is called 'the present'.

Wait... I have just noticed that Miraidon is more of a Cybernetic Pokemon...

But while I do prefer traditions and history, I still like the mecha-lizard more. Doesn't mean that Indian lizard is bad.

Also Koraidon's saw/gear/tire on its belly reminds me of Alpha Hydranoid from Bakugan, who had the metal, wide saw on his belly which could spin at high speed and damage opponent, especially if they are locked and forced to be in contact with that spinning saw.

    • in postgame story: "Now, you will have to answer for-  *sees Arceus tackling brutally Lin to the void*  -OH SHIT! LIN, GRAB MY HAND!"
    • in true postgame: "Aaww, don't worry, you'll win next time. You've just gotta believe in it, 'kay?"

For now, I can proudly say that I have an 9-1 record, with 7 first fights won.

For the record, I do count fortifying as lost (both in opponent's, and mine, case). But all those surrendering came because of a domination, and they quit.
