It will get harder don't worry. Something to keep in mind is that in Reborn being overlevelled doesn't mean you are going to steamroll through the gym leaders and other trainers. The gym leaders have teams that take advantage of their field effects which makes their teams stronger. Also as far as the level curve goes from what I remember, I think after the psychic gym I had to do some grinding before taking on the next gym. Another thing to keep in mind is that not all the badges increase the level cap. That's just what I remember from my last playthrough, I don't think much changed, but I could be wrong.

I would recommend using a Camerupt. I used him for her gym and he destroyed her. Take out her field and spam lava plume. He is pretty decent too to have on your team or reserve.

If its your first time playing through Reborn and you don't mind using cheesy strats, I would suggest picking up a trubbish or gulpin. For trubbish I like to get toxic spikes on him early so that you can set those up and stall to let the poison kill the pokemon. gulpin/swalot kind of the same deal, but he brings more utility I think. He has access to yawn, and toxic which make him really nice for getting status effects on pokemon. I would also recommend soft resetting for certain ivs and natures that are beneficial to your pokemon. My rule of thumb is to atleast have 10-15+ ivs in a stat that the pokemon uses. Yeah it might be tedious constantly soft resetting, but trust me, its worth it. That's just my two cents, I've only done one complete play through of the game, so there's probably a lot I've missed.

For me, definitely my Exadrill. I got him as a Drilbur in a wonder trade, he had 31 in every stat (I think it might have been one off I forget which one, probably sp. Atk) with an Adamant nature. I was really surprised that someone would trade that, but that's not what I'm here to discuss. After evolving him, he started sweeping through teams like it was nothing. I remember using him for the glasswork station battles and the gym battle after that. I knew Exadrill was a good mon, but I didn't know just HOW good he was. Definitely became a favorite of mine after playing through Reborn. Thanks random wonder trader!

Thank you so much for the advice! I actually ended up replacing my mimikyu and magnezone with rhydon and garchomp and I got through the first two fights easily. The last one gave my some trouble but I managed to get through it. I ended up playing up to right before Hardy's gym and I think I have plenty of good mons to take him on. Thanks again!

This is my first post here so sorry if I messed anything up So I played Pokemon Reborn a while ago and got up to the Glass Workstation. I got to the part where you battle Shelly and Cain, but I always end up losing to them or in the battle right after them. After trying to configure my team and trying over and over again, I kinda just gave up. I can back a few months later (life and stuff happened so I didn't get to play for awhile) and I'm still having trouble. This is the team I was currently running/training I would lead with ferrothorn and metagross. Here are the movesets I have for them currently: Infernape: Ability: Iron First Moves: Brick Break, Flamethrower, Fake out, Acrobatics Metagross: Ability: Light Metal Moves: Bullet Punch, Zen Headbutt, Meteor Mash, Brick Break Magnezone: Ability: Analytic Moves: Flash Cannon, Light Screen, Thunder Wave, Discharge Swampert: Ability: Damp Moves: Hammer Arm, Earthquake, Waterfall, Ice Punch Ferrothorn: Ability: Iron Barbs Moves: Stealth Rock, Leech Seed, Gyro Ball, Power Whip Mimikyu: Ability: Disguise Moves: Play Rough, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Destiny Bond I'm not sure if I can actually beat those battles with this team but these are pokemon I have on reserve, Most of them range from levels 50 - 80 ish. Any suggestions/recommendations would be helpful and greatly appreciated. I am willing to train up any new pokemon if I need to. Thanks for reading!
