[RESOLVED] Cutscene freezes after Karrina battle in the "Hidden Library 3"

Hi there,

 

I apologize if this has already been addressed, but I'm currently in December 16th | A Light of Insanity. In the beginning, upon leaving the Plane of Harmony, I was meant to have an interaction with a Gliscor, but I did not receive one. Because of this, there's no event happening at Alamissa Urban, and I can not progress. I believe it was because I never finished the Hidden Library 3? I can't complete it this late into the game, so how should I approach this? I'd hate to backtrack about 20 hours of playtime over this, much less starting over.

Follow up on this, I figured I'd share in case somebody else runs into this problem.

I'll try keep this straight forward:

 

1. Boot up a backup save somewhere before speaking to Crescent at Zorrialyn Coast, and commencing the Rise and Fall of Alice's Empire.

2. Begin the Hidden Library Quest 3, Once you defeat Karrina, the cutscene freezes, As soon as that happens. Press D to Quicksave the game. Then immediately press F12 to reboot the game and hold L.

3. This will unfreeze and continue the event.

 

This method allowed me to progress through the rest of the Hidden Library quest, as well as continuing the main story. Hope this helps for you.

The main story was never softlocked. You just needed to enter the Garden in Alamissa, rather than receiving the notice from Gliscor.

Additionally, you aren't meant to be able to do the Hidden Library quest after .Karma starts.

Thanks for the reply. No worries. Yeah, I'm sure the method I found wasn't intentionally put there.

 

So, maybe it's just me, but without that notice from Gliscor, I never received the event at Alamissa, and Ryland wasn't there to greet me, so I could not progress.

When I get the chance, I'll be glad to send you an older save if you're interested.
