Fighting a team specially made for doubles with a team made for singles is blegh. You can expect to see some changes to this section, just as soon as we work out a few details (just between you and me, I hear Amethyst hasn't exactly kept up on all the updates he intended lately) Until then, bear with me, and I'll do the best I can to make sure we all get the nice and juicy story behind everything that goes on in the Reborn League. Sound good? Good. Last night, the battles were going strong, when suddenly the coordinator, the ever-evanescent Amethyst once again disappeared! He claims to have experienced some technical difficulty, but the truth is, he was actually grounded because he wouldn't do his work. Don't worry, he'll be back tonight, probably forgetting some other menial task. Yet, since I was hired to take some of the work off of his chest, could it be that he gets grounded on purpose so that he doesn't [i]have[/i] to do so many battles? Congrats to Manowar and Geo for earning their 7th and 10th badges, respectively, and additionally to Max and Miss Kitty, both of whom qualified their teams against Hardy last night. Hardy took a lot of heat, but stood up well. On the other hand, leader Corey is yet to win a match since the leagues' return. What's up, Corey? He stands to lose his position if the trend continues. Similarly, Cal saved his rank, pulling off a long-awaited win, and Julia made her debut only to lose to the ever-strong Geo. Additionally, the former league's Ace, AZKnight, AKA BottomGuy has finally made a reappearance, and plans to tackle Terra this evening. Terra is currently undefeated, having been one of the few leaders able to defeat AZKnight in the league's former reincarnation shortly before the data was lost. Can AZKnight rise up from the Bottom and take his revenge? Or will he remain Grounded by Terra? Sorry, we're late- dear Amethyst took his sweet time getting the logs up, but I hear he was actually slacking off with Miss Kitty. Scandalous! Oooouuuuut of 13 total battles played last night, only two badges were awarded! Congratulations to Manowar for earning his 8th badge, and to Bullet for qualifying against El! That said, there was a fair bit of drama last night. o.o While El took the heat at the beginning of the evening, the new players became annoyed with his incessant latin-summoning chants, and proposed him to stop. In the featured battle, [url="http://www.pokemonreborn.com/logs/119.html"]El vs Miss Kitty, he did.[/url] But his victory with out his lord's protection greatly upset him, and he fled in shame. Later, in another featured battle,[url="http://www.pokemonreborn.com/logs/121.html"] Manowar took on Luna, he challenged her as to the true nature of the relationship between her and her father, El.[/url] Emotionally distraught, she fled the evening as well. What Amethyst didn't mention is that following those incidents, neither gym leader remained connected to Amethyst's terminal- they signed out of duty early, and have not been heard from since. The league's aces, returning lead Knight and the clean-sweep Geo also each met with their second losses against the leaders last night, each failing once again to defeat Terra and Kiki respectively. Have they finally come to their roadblocks as well? As the night grew, Shade rose from the darkness to take on the entry-level competition, and did not give an inch. That isn't to say that it wasn't dangerously close once or twice though, in the least. With Terra's previously perfect record quickly shattered by Manowar, the 13th leader is one step closer to being revealed! It was announced that her type was Bug- BUT some scheming on the parts of the challengers easily deduced that earlier that day anyway. Once a second person defeats the unrawrable Terra, her profile will be revealed as well! Out of 13 matches played last night, a total of 5 badges were awarded. While most of those matches were played against Shade, the silent spirit only relinquished a single badge- congratulations to Bullet for earning his 2nd badge, to Uxie for her 7th, and Manowar with a perfect sweep yesterday, defeated three leaders to get up to his 11th badge. Only Kiki stands in his way before he reaches the full current 12! Not that Amethyst has done anything to do with it- he and the Kitty were off having dinner together, and who knows what else! =o Out of a total 19 battles played on Friday, a total of 6 badges were awarded- Congratulations to Ice, Bullet and Kitty for their new badges, and Max, Gary Oak and Batman for qualifying their teams (all of the against Florinia, oddly. That can't be good for her ratio...) Speaking of ratios, this weeks shifts in Rank! Blake has passed his brother Cal, taking over the position of the higher leader between them. Cal is currently erupting in endless fury, but should calm down sooner or later. Maybe. Additionally, due to his dismal ratio, Corey has dropped in rank, allowing Luna to return to her former position as the 8th leader. Rising in rank.... An odd thing for a missing gym leader to do, don't you think? However, El returned late last night, and the story is, Luna was last seen leaving him, threatening to end her own life! Could it... No... I don't want to hype that up, that's actually really sad... I hope she's alright.... Poor Luna... Um, anyway, as for El, he's returned with some changes. For instance, you'll notice that in the [url="http://www.pokemonreborn.com/index.php?showtopic=4"]Leader Line-up Topic[/url] El has finally taken off his hood, having resigned to no longer spouting his summoning chants.
