I Need To Know What Starter To Pick

Ok guys, I'm doing Pokemon Reborn with two Pokemon(Permadeath), I have to use a debug mod to get the second one but both have to be starters, I'm thinking Protean Froakie and Speedboost Torchic but what do you guys think?

 

 

Im okay with any Of the Pokemon but turtwig, unless that is one of the best options, I most definitly will not use it.

Froakie is not that good, since it doesn't hit as hard as you would think, neither has access to most of it's moves until late to mid game— mainly Gunk Shot, Surf, Dark Pulse or Grass Knot. Instead of it, you could use Popplio. It's bulky, can hit hard, and has amazing moves, like early Moonblast, water type Hyper Voice with Liquid Voice and Icy Wind.

And I would never suggest Turtwig. Stinky Sinnoh starter. Bleugh

Yeah I would also suggest something bulky, since if you can't one-shot something you'll want to be able to survive a hit or two.
