monodramatic_ Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 so i just got the gym badge needed to use fly, and i went a bought the golden wings from the scholar district in gdc. how do i actually USE the wings? clicking use from the key items menu doesnt do anything, and i cant interact with the map on my cybernav. do i need the actual hm?
Calentz Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Yes, you need not only the badge but the corresponding HM in order to use the golden item equivalents. Otherwise players could potentially cross/circumvent obstacles that involve HM moves sooner than what the game creators intend.
DistantBliss Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 What the guy above me said. At a certain point you get the tm from someone and then you can use it. Warning however: do not, for any reason, leave the grand dream tournament area with fly or other means after the tournament and just do what the story tells you to do at that point or you get stuck.
