But I can't go over 40 and I'm getting closer to that. xD You could try Sharpedo, I killed it with Crunch when I was about lvl 37 or so, and with Speed Boost Gengar wouldn't be that much of an issue. Trueflame08 Posted September 1, 2013 Share Posted September 1, 2013 I used a skuntank to get over most of his pokemon. His bulk and typing make him probably the best tank to use on shade. I beat shade my first try and then my game crashed, so I had to do it again, he's harder the second time through :/ Also I had a technician persian, and that helped a lot thanks to boosted bite. I BEAT HIM! OMG! Only Luxray lived. xD I had three cotton candy's so I revived Spinda 3 times on Chandelure, plus the original battle which fainted it. Took Swampert and Luxray to beat Spiritomb. But the few extra levels of grinding you suggested did the trick! I had to use calm mind, and double team for evasion hacks followed by confusion sweep all done by Gardevoir. " You can't kill what you can't hit" is my philosophy. No problem. It fled. I went to the next location, and found an actual zangoose. Looked in other locations and no Zorua. So I'm worried I lost the event... I FREAKIN HATE SHADE's TEAM! i was getting owned left to right by him and then i thought of making a new team solely just to beat him. (spam dark types and pkmn has dark attacks) and i finally demolished him. and he taught something... he taught me, having a bench pokemon in this game really helps. so i have a clan of 20 pkmn that i can just pull out whenever. kinda hard to manage sometimes, and i see it decreasing in the future but it helps and it made the game easier to play.
