Any way to free the daycare pokemon outside of shards?

So, I finally got to 7th street, and what did I see but the pokemon that helped free me at one of the meteor hangouts. Kind of surprised they hadn't been set free then, that's what I assumed happened, but oh well. Obviously I want to free them all. Is there any way now that I can fight the dealer and free them or do I have to pay for their freedoms?

Yeah decided to just do it as I had the shards and then immediately after Arc came over and gave me the lucky egg. Glad to see a happy ending to that subplot. Thanks for the heads up though.

The quest will continue later on, too... So recommend to store the Pokemon in your pc as they are.

That's not the end. Hold on the those pokemon, as they are (do not evolve them. Breed them and evolve the babies if you want to use them). It'll become far more worth it.

Ok cool, thanks for the warnings. I assume it has something to do with their original trainers, considering their names are listed?

Not for a long time, but yes. Arclight will manage to track several of them done eventually.

It's worth to buy all of them, yeah. Not only will you eventually get something worth, but shards are pretty easy to get later on in the game.
