Or you can use Fennekin Line or Klefki with Magician ability, to make the process less complicated

Fennekin line can't learn Fling and Recycle... Without this moveset (thief -> fling -> recycle), the item cannot be duplicated and is lost, after battle. Braixen and Delphox can learn Recycle, but not Fling.

I recommend Alolan Muk for the Thief method, as it has the best defensive stats and typing so its chances of fainting are much lower.

So Thief/Covet by itself doesn't retain the item after the battle, and one must also use Fling and Recycle if they want to do so? Interesting, good to know when I want to get Life Orbs for my Magic Guarders/Sheer Forcers

If you really want one, you can steal one from clown indra. Thief/Trick/Switcheroo (etc.) + Fling + Recyle does the trick.

Nah, not yet. I do know where it will be assuming its current position is not changed, but, can't access it in E18.
