Why do the cry's need to be updated?

Am I the only one that doesn't like the updated cry of certain pokemon?

 

Frankly I could do without Swampert's majestic roar being a "kill me now!" screech

 

Not to metion Illumise's prr prr prr changed to ree reee reeeeeeee! 

 

Please can we not have the updated cry's please?

I'm glad that they update cries. Some of the old ones hurt my ears to be honest, plus the some of the new ones are pretty nice.

I don't say the new ones are bad... But aye, i prefer the old ones much better. I always loved that retro, 8-bit style effects.

I'm not really a fan of the new cries either. I don't like that some of them sound nothing like the old ones.

If you want to change them, you could just copy&paste them from an older version into the SE (soundeffects) folder.

The "updated" cries are perhaps what I dislike the most about e18. I did exactly what Shuma said: replaced them with older versions from previous episodes. If you prefer the old cries, you can easily do the same.

Krookodile had the best guitar sound as a cry. Now it's so pathetic that you wouldn't want to hear it. I hate that the most. That guitar was so cool to introduce in between battle music.
