The makuhita trainer is in apophyll, middle room to the left of the central field of the academy. Then the roggenrola (mcsomething) guy is in spinel town.

From what i figured out, any (appropriate) pokemon will do for the quest, not just the one that was originally in the cage. So you can use any spare you might have, breed a boldore or go catch a wild one

If your save file started on E16/Previous Episodes you need the exact same mon (aka the same OT) to make the trade

Otherwise, any mon should work.
