I read you got a little of the sites currency when you made an id. Are they not doing that anymore?

You get rupees by posting. Some forums get you more per post than others. Posting topics also gets you rupees, and I recall reading that replies to topics you've made can get you some. Why not make an intro thread in the Grand Hall? That'll get you started.

Edit: I realise now this is the Grand Hall. So... Uh... Yeah.
