Can you soft reset?

If so, how do I do it? Picking my starter right now and I want to get the right nature and gender that I want.

(Yes, I know I could just exit the application and double click the Game again, but soft resetting always makes it go faster)

Also, are Shiny's in this? If so, what are the odds of encountering one?

There are shinies, and most of them are edited because the official ones are lame

Odds- 1% i think?

To soft reset I'm pretty sure its F12, I have a Mac so I don't really pay attention to this stuff

For most computers, press F12 to soft reset.

There are indeed shinies in this game, and the chance of getting one was increased to about 1%. Also, there are custom shiny sprites for almost every Pokemon so uglier ones can be cooler/funnier.

You could always open Reborn about 10 times. It doesn't slow down gameplay and it's faster than soft resetting

Should be F12. I use the trick a lot when mining.

Yeah just press F12 and it should reset you. You'll see the title screen right away
