It's because, when breeding anything with a Nidoran Female, there's a 50% chance the offspring will be a Nidoran Male. So you'd breed the Nidoran Female with the Smeargle that has the moves you want to inherit, until you get a male one with them. Link to post Share on other sites
Etesian 8 Posted February 1, 2015 Share Posted February 1, 2015 The thing with both Nidoran m/f and Illumise/Volbeat is that you can just breed the female one with whatever and you have a 50% chance of getting the male one. So Smeargle+Nidoran F=Nidoran M (eventually). You also need E12 to breed TMs. There's a link in the guide linked above. Link to post Share on other sites
