unicorngummi Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Hi everyone! My name is Angi. I have been a long-time Pokemon fanatic and have gotten into custom Pokemon games as of a few months ago. Some were fun, but too easy. Some were extremely tedious and required so much grinding time that I just got bored of playing. I was introduced to Pokemon Reborn by a friend and immediately found the game extremely fun. The story is awesome and there's not TOO much grinding (since there's actually a level cap). Currently I'm training for Shade. Hopefully I can beat him soon and move on with the story cause his gym scares me. If anyone has any tips please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it! I'm not the greatest battler since I only play Pokemon for fun and I'm used to the mainstream Pokemon games' difficulty. I'm still learning about Reborn so please bear with me. Other than Pokemon, I have also played lots of MMOs, like Maplestory, Vindictus, Dragon Nest, Mabinogi ...... so basically all of the Nexon games. ;; The only other game I play currently is League of Legends (insert groans here). And there are plenty of people here who play League of Legens, however I'm not one of them If you have any questions you can ask the Moderators or myself. But most importantly please read the rules. I'd also recommend checking out as many of the pinned threads as you can because they usually have very useful information you can use. Like the forum FAQ for one. Also, come talk with us on the Pokemon Reborn Showdown Server, you can learn the competitive game or just talk with your fellow reborn citizens there if battling isn't really your thing. There's a link to the top left above Member Info There are all sorts of people here, so I'm sure you can find some people you will be able to call your friends. Quote

Sheep Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Welcome League of Legends (insert groans here). Hah, maybe from me but there's a big LoL culture here and you'll find plenty that play it well. As far as Shade is concerned there are a few good dark types that will help out tremendously against him, I'd recommend making a post in the gym leader help thread with your team in it if you really want some help. I actually saw the League thread, but I didn't have a forum account back then and I was too lazy to make one so I was just lurking. Also thank you for telling me about the gym leaders thread! I've only tried to take him on twice and have decided that my Pokemon just need more training, so maybe if I get really stuck I'll try there x_x @Sheep LOL most people when they hear League either groan or are really excited. >_>; There's never an in between reaction. I got really bored of it though after getting to level 70 cap so I stopped playing and gave my account to a friend >< Now they're on 80 cap but I'm too lazy to go back, haha. Quote

I don't play it too often because my computer is really sucky, when I get a better rig I'll definitely play it a lot more. I'm only level 20 though... Quote

There's also Pancham a fighting type that can have the ability Scrappy cuz who doesn't want to punch a ghost? Quote

I'm only level 20 though... Ahhh I see, yeah Vindi is really taxing on your computer. T_T Mine is okay but has cooling issues so I have to run it on lowest, and even then it's laggy sometimes. Haha yeah I have a Mightyena atm, but I feel like he's a little too weak, cause I can only rely on him to take down 2 or maybe 3 of Shade's Pokemon if I'm lucky and then I'm screwed from then on x___x I didn't think about Murkrow though!
