Does the shiny rate effect the odds of getting a shiny when obtaining from someone else? I got a shiny charm, which supposedly reduces the encounter rate of 1/100 to 1/33, however it seems like quite the tedious process when it comes to SRing for shinies. I attempted this for Growlithe, and eventually got impatient ( sorry I'm not entirely cut out for shiny hunting in the long term; the only incident where I got lucky doing this very process was with Suicune back in ORAS at 5 - 10+ SRs ). Right now I'm at 30 or so counts with Houndour and no luck so far.
