Obviously they are not required. I was just wondering if this "exploit" was known, because it definitely felt unintended. Are you sure about that? That would be news even for me... As far as I know (and that's what both the item guide and walkthrough suggest), leftovers can only be obtained by pickup, assault vest is unavailable, and the only copy of life orb should be from the Karen sidequest.

Hello, Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I found no topic on the subject. Having played through the entire game many times over the years, I think there is a "bug" where you can get items you are not supposed to. At the pyramid (close to v12 endgame) when controlling Ren / Aelita, you can actually take the items off their pokemon (including a Life Orb, and 2 Assault Vests), and they will go to your inventory instead of theirs. If I remember correctly, this used to work for Melia before (when you played as her in the library), but as of v13, I believe only the pyramid one is still intact. Even though I use debug mode to make fresh playthroughs a little less time consuming, I still like to keep everything within the realms of possibility provided by the game. Should I just toss these items away? Has anyone else found this exploit? Thanks!

I believe they don't hold them anymore. Again, everything depends on the point where you are currently in the game. I would wait until level 43 with nidorino for that poison jab.

As said above, a special sheer force moveset is nice, but since the decent TMs are lategame (also, Ice Beam not yet available), a physical combination is probably more useful until then, depending on your TMs and breeding options. The lack of earthquake hurts though, so poison jab will be your best stab move.

Without spoiling much, after you progress a bit you will be able to catch a phantump and breed it for an egg, which you can trade for that mystery egg. However, the pokemon within the egg is random and cannot be changed by soft-reseting.

Melia has several different teams through the story, but I've created a save file with the mons you mentioned. I've set the nicknames, the shininess, the genders and maxed out the IVs, everything else is completely random/untouched. If you would like anything else, let me know. Hope it helps! Game.rxdata

I had the same problem, and I don't think you losing the first time is relevant. You can either restore an earlier save file from your saved games folder (C:\Users\xxxx\Saved Games), or do what I did, and use a debug mod to warp to the same place where you are, that "freed" me from the ledge.
