In any case, I think it's more related to whatever causes the game to keep running when you focus on another window rather than the controller itself. I got the same result when I was trying the same thing with Discord, my browser, and a whole 'nother game.

So, I'm experiencing some trouble rebinding my controller buttons.... (This applies to the D-pad, face buttons, bumper buttons, start/select, and pressing the sticks. Moving the sticks and the trigger buttons still function properly. I'm not holding any buttons down and I've attempted to press several D-pad buttons throughout the video.) 2023-02-01 22-08-02.mp4

I've found a problem with the Leek/Stick item: though it was supposed to work for both forms of Farfetch'd as well as Sirfetch'd starting in Sword/Shield, it isn't increasing critical hit rate for Sirfetch'd. This matters a lot to me, as I require perfection in how my boi Knight Birb is represented.
