Ok thanks a ton, I’ll probably go with either Mamoswine or Weavile

Hi! I’m looking at adding a Froslass to my team so I would have an ice type. However, the more I looked at it, I started to wonder whether or not it’s a great Pokémon. It doesn’t learn a ton of good moves, and I’m not sure if it’s speed is enough to make up for it’s bad defenses. So I was wondering, is Froslass a good Pokémon to use or not?

If you don't feel like trying to memorize types and stats, Bulbapedia is super useful for looking that kind of stuff up. Also, the SWM Modpack includes a mod that shows your opponent's types if you think that would be useful.

Those are really cool! I especially like the one of Shelly

I think it’s because Mamoswine’s nature helps to raise its attack

Try redownloading the game

Ok thank you

Hi, I was wondering, where in the game is the “Special Magnetic Field” that you can use to evolve Charjabug (and a few other Pokemon)?
-
I’m pretty sure that trading bibarel for munna in peridot ward is something you have to do before the Agate City checkpoint too.
-
Did you rename the save you’re trying to open to Game.rxdata?
-
Alright thanks

Does anyone know if/when you can get an attacking Fairy-Type TM in the game?

The first two can be found in the Underground Caves and Meowth can be found outside the Grand Hall.
Ok thanks

I would suggest Dugtrio and/or Sandslash.
Persian with Power Gem is quite strong against Shelly, too.
Thanks, would I be able to find them by the point of the game I’m in?

I think graveler can work for some of this fight (which they are underneath the grand stairway) and numel not too good due to rain dance. Slugma also works well just be careful of the anorith and araquanid. (Its mostly just the rock moves)
Thanks. I’m confused though, how is Graveler any better during rain dance then Numel, since they both take 4x damage from water-type attacks?

Ok thanks

Hey, I’ve been stuck on Shelly’s gym and wondering if anyone could give me some advice. All my Pokemon are level 30-31 and I rotate depending on levels and the battle. For Shelly I was planning on boxing Jigglypuff, Noibat, and Pancham, but I could use them if they would be helpful. I’ll also take team suggestions, but if you suggest a new Pokemon it has to be one I can get at this point in the game. Pancham and Numel are also close to evolving, and I can grind them up a few levels to evolve them if needed.
Meowstic (Female) with Competitive
Fake Out
Light Screen
Psybeam
Psyshock
Numel with Own Tempo
Magnitude
Earth Power
Lava Plume
Focus Energy
Jigglypuff with Cute Charm

Prinplup with Defiant
Water Pledge
Bide
Metal Claw

You could also try searching (for that and other stuff) on the Pokémon Reborn Wikia, which is useful for a ton of other stuff too: https://pokemon-reborn.fandom.com/wiki/Home

Hi! I’ve played Pokémon Reborn with the Windows version and the Linux version, and I’ve noticed that in certain areas on the Linux version (like Mosswater Factory and the Obsidia Slums), the music is slowed down and lower-pitched. The respective tracks on the Pokegear are at the Windows speed and pitch. Has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone know if it’s a bug or just the way the game is?

Somehow I managed to delete my save file, so I'm starting my game from the beginning with the Linux version. Oh well. Thanks for the help though.

i'm assuming you've already moved your game into the linux save folder.
is it named Game_2 or anything like that?
I just deleted all the 18.2 files from the Linux folder except my save file, and moved all the files from 18.3 zip into it, except for the unused save file
12 hours ago, majig12346 said:short answer: move your saves from your wine prefix to '~/.local/share/Pokemon Reborn' where ~ is $HOME or your home directory
the location of the saves in the wine prefix is something like '~/.wine/drive_c/users/yourname/Saved Games/Pokemon Reborn' assuming your wine prefix is '~/.wine/' (default)
for the admins / devs
- I didn't find this in the latest readme and had to use "find ~ -name *.rxdata" to find it after creating a dummy save -- it would be helpful if this were documented somewhere obvious
- Excellent work, this runs very smoothly and battles are much less laggy than 18.2
Ok thanks, I'll look at it

I got the game to open fine. Before this update came out, I've been running the Windows version with Wine, and I have a decent amount of progress. When I open the Linux version with my old save file, however, I don't get the option to continue my game, it only gives me the option to start a new game. If I run the same save file with the Windows version through Wine, all of my progress is there. Is there a way to get my progress on the Linux version, or do I have to keep using the Windows version if I want to keep my progress?

The majority of the Pokemon on my team are somewhat slow, but not very bulky, and I’m wondering if that’s a problem. Some of the Pokemon on my team are Pangoro, Mawile, Camerupt, etc, and they have good attack stats, but that doesn’t matter if they get knocked out in one hit before they can attack. So I’m wondering if I should change something about my team. I’ve thought about either using some different Pokémon on my team, making sure my Pokemon’s EVs/Natures are good enough so they can either hit first or survive a hit, or just using Trick Room super often (I’ve been using it a bit and so far it’s very useful). Does anyone have any recommendations about if/how I should change my team?
