One thing that I find to be a missed opportunity in regards to Field Effects in Reborn is that are not that many fields that the player can set themselves with moves. By allowing for more fields for the player to set for themselves,it would allow for more approaches in regards to the games bosses. Right now the approaches are 1.Break/Change Said Field 2.Counter Team 3.Train Up One or Two Mons that bodies the Entire Fight 4.Go In with Default Team By allowing for more Fields like the Rainbow Field,it will allow for more teams to be built around setting said Field Effect and then abusing the fuck out of them. Entire Runs of the game could be dedicated to this. Obviously not every Field should be allowed to be set by the player(Superheated,Water Surface,Fairy Tale Field, etc) all come to mind, and some fields should take a lot more work than others to set. However, expanding the amount of fields the player would allow for more variety, creativity, and options.

I have been doing some playtesting with the SWM modpack recently in regards to Legends, and I have to say Zekrom may just be the best Pokemon in the game. Dragon Rage early on allows it to OHKO or 2HKO most things in the game. It gets a powerful and reliable STAB Move by 22,and the rest of it level up moveset is phenomenal. By Noel and Randomus, you can have Dragon Claw and Fusion Bolt. Zekrom has all of the traits of a box art so jack of all trades master of them all,and its Eletric Stab gets boosted by the two most common fields in the game. Other Legends dont have nearly this much going for them.

I am really interstead to see what episode they will respond to the comment about dropping the nuzlocke/permadeath or changing the rules. They record the Penta Op 3 Episodes in Advanced so they proabably are at the part where they fight Noel/The Tanzan Mountain Story Arc

Can someone please trade me a Teddiursa(Ideally one that is low level) for my new Reborn Playthrough? I am extremely confident at this point that the Teddiursa in Lower Peridot is bugged for my game and Ursa is great Early game,Pick Up is phenomenal, and makes Dex Completion easier for Poipole. I dont think most of the crew is getting burnt out per say. Nappy and Mo both complimented Battle Design with Aya during the Episode despite Aya kicking there ass,and Nexus and Jay really liked her Design. There Reactions to the Story also seem to imply that they like it and are invested. The only person that seems to be sick or tired of Reborn is Twit since he is getting repeatedly hammered. They defintly should change the Rules though. There are a lot of early Encounters in Reborn, but by Shade that number drops off. Jay is on his last leg with his available mons, and Twit has been out of them for the past few episodes

I restarted my save in Reborn and I am trying to get the Teddiursa in Peridot/Lower Peridot. I have looked around for it everywhere, including all the places that it should be,and still have not found it. My game has clear weather,I have caught Budew,Interacted with the Bear 3 times, and have beaten Julia. Any reason why it is not appearing Teddiursa_Pichu_Bros.webp

Despite me not being at the new content for Episode 18(Currently Training Loads of Mons, and I am about to battle Blake for the first time) I really like the new Story Additions in Episode 18. I rewatched the cutscenes and I still love the improvement from Episode 17. What bogs down the story section from 17 for me is that I would rather have nothing to do with Amaria and Titania Relationship Drama. If you managed to get the Reshiram path,Taka was a really nice addition as he offered a lot of cool world and lore building which prevented me from hating the story of 17. Here is the part were I talk about what I liked so if you havent finished 18 and dont like Spoilers,Consider this your warning(SPOILER WARNING) It was really nice to see more of Hardy again. Out of all the Young Adults Gym Leaders from the School,I find him to be the most likeable. He is a really chill and nice dude compared to his Sister, and he calls out Fern on his Bullshit and Insecurities. All the Other Gym Leaders from the School(with the Exception of Julia) have a lot of personal issues they have to work through Anna,Randomus, and Luna were very nice to see. I love how quirky and weird Anna can be,and the writers do utilize her weirdness to point out things about other characters like Serra being a fractured person or Charlotte being mentally scarred from the Belrose Mansion Fire despite Sirius committing the crime. Luna is just a fun character to watch as she always seems to be a step ahead of everyone for the weirdest reasons, and of course Randoms is by far my favorite character with his funny hat gimmick and his surprisingly deep mind games. Bennett got more characterization which I think he desperately needed. Previously,he had come off as a naive, but good person who was a bit of a pervert and had "Nice guy syndrome". Really liked the direction they are going with his character. Bennett teaming up with Laura of all people was really nice, and a cool bit of mechanical storytelling. Laura so far appears to be a Grass Type Specialist and that is a far less dangerous type than Dragon or Fire. It makes sense for Laura to be far more forgiving than her sisters. She also needed some more screentime imo. Shelly so far still remains the most devloped character in Reborn, and she is getting more of it which I love. I never thought that the writers would use Titania of all people to devlop Shelly as they are very different, and if you got the other path than Serra nice as well As for the Villains:Solaris continues to be the most interesting antagonist for me,and I loved what happened to him in either path as it showcase both sides of his personality. In the Zekrom Route, his dialogue still shows that he does not trust his son and sees him as naive or ignorant. In the Reshiram Route:it shows that despite having issues with Taka he genuinely loves him. Taka quitting in the Zekrom Route was also very satisfying to see.

Thanks for the Response Cain never came off to me as a character who would exaggerate part of themselves to hide there insecurities or troubles. If anything,I thought he was the exact opposite of Fern since in the Solaris Path implies that Florina Robotic Personality Shift bothers him far more than he lets on. To the point were he doesnt think she gives a shit about him despite that not being the case. Cain comes off as a very happy and carefree person, even when he is talking to his Sister which he did have some problems with. Even when he is kidnapped in Azurine,he makes a princess joke right after you rescue him. He also brushes aside his personal issues as minor inconveniences when confronted about it,and his mother imo never came off as a asshole as Cain and Aya described her Your Comment defiantly has a made a good argument on Cains Character and how Episode 18 improves his Characterization. I put that disclaimer at the end because a common trend I see in Today Society is when LBTQ+ Characters are criticized, people assume the critics are homophobic, and I would rather not be shot down as some homophone

Sorry for that,My Stupidity. Since I posted it wrong,I did my best to delete the post

Is it just me or is Cain really irritating if not flat out obnoxious? I dont find any of his "Sex Jokes/Innuendos" to be funny at all,and the common frequency of them makes them grading. It makes him come off as a tryhard and part of it is just sad to watch. His Jokes also come at the most inopportune and irrelevant times(EX:When Randomus is trying to fit between the Gears during the Elias Arc,or when Victoria is at the Railway). Cain even gets called out on it several times but he never changes or tones it down. This wouldnt be a problem for me,but Cain arguably get the most screentime out of any of the characters in Reborn. He ends up coming across as a Screen Hog,and I would rather the game focus on more interesting characters such as Randomus or Bennet or give others more time for characterization. They dont really go into that much detail as to Cain Family Troubles to justify the Screentime. Shame since I find Aya to be a far better character but she barely gets any screentime. Cain gets on my nerves so much that I am glad with what Episode 18 did to him. I know people compare Cain to Terra, but I find the latter way better than the Former. Not only do I find what Terra says to be legitimately hilarious, but she has gotten far less screen time to get annoying. I also know that Cain and a lot of Reborns cast is based on Real People and the Events of the Reborn League, and while that is Nice, if I met someone like Cain in real life chances are I would tell them to Shut Up. If you like Cain more power to you as I know a lot of people find him to be hilarious and humor is subjective Incase I get accused of being homophobic:I could care less who anyone dates or sleeps with most of the time(with some obvious exceptions)

I noted how the mainline games did this, and even said that those fights are the most hated amoungst the fanbase. Koga is a Shitty Fight from Yellow, and him being shitty is no less different from Serra being a Trash Boss Fight. So Trial and Error due to a strategy focusing on Shitty RNG Mechanics,"What could possibly go wrong?". Serra "Counters" do not make her a Good Boss Fight what so ever,The Fight was Boring with Flash Cannon/Mirror Move Spam,or Breaking the Field.
-
Of Course Pokemon has Luck, but Critcal Hits and Evasion are the worst parts of Pokemons Good Battle System. Serras Gym should have never been so focused on these aspects as they come off as the Devs Trolling the Players more than making a Good Boss Fight. There is a good reason why very few fights in the mainline games dont focus on this things, and the ones that do are some of the most despised in the fanbase. Most of the Other Fights in Reborn Focus on good things about the Battle System like a Players Flexibility,Counter Teaming which is Commonly seen in Draft Format, and being able to utilize and even counter competitive strategy such as Setup or Hazards

Some Ideas to make this Field Less of RNG Nonsense would be to .Obviously Remove the Evasion Boost,Critical Hit Increase, etc .Boost all Ice Type Attacks by a Consistent 1.5 Power .Make Abilities such as Slush Rush activate without Hail, and Boosts Other such as Refrigerate and Thick Fat That is just the begging, and barely scratching the surface. I am a unimaginative scrub, but with the right minds the field and fight could be less about Shitty RNG deciding who gets the W,and more about Player Skill. Even when I used the Flash Cannon Magneton Strat, the fight did not feel very satisfying to beat.

Not really. My Level Cap is currently 76,and I only really want them for a potential option and Dex Completion

Can Anyone trade me a Member of the Vikavolt Line since I got the Joltix as my Encounter in the Power Out Event in the Peridot Ward? Offer me the trade as that tends to work better. My Username is ThatRandomDan92

I have to admit that out of all Gym Battles in the Game,I easily find this one to be the worst and a total dumpster fire of bad decisions. Serra Pokemon Sets are fine, but what ruins the fight for me is how the field promotes some of the worst parts of Pokemons Battle System. Having a field so heavily focused on evasion, crits, and recoil is beneath Reborn and to players can come off as a random trolls instead of a good boss battle. There are ways to ignore the RNG,but this field should have never been designed around this sort of thing. FYI:I know people will say I suck or am Bad at the Game. I beat this Gym two times quite easily, one with Toxic Spikes Hazard Stack Team and another with a Iron Plate Magneton spamming Flash Cannon but that doesnt make this fight any good. Some aspects of the field have potential, but it is buried behind RNG Nonsense

With Dratini Finally being avaible in the Wild as of Episode 18,Did the Reborn Devs add Extreme Speed to its base level up moveset or is it a Move Tutor Move? Alternatively,is E Speed not Legal on the Dratini Line as of Episode 18?
-
Just wanted to start a speculation thread with, but where do you think the Legendaries of the Franchise will be located in the game post Elite Four? What Sidequests,Puzzles, and or Events do you think will be associated with catching and obtaining them
-
With Episode 18 officially releasing the remaining Psuedo Legendaries,The Volcrona Line, and the Haxorus Line, how do you find Scyther and or Scizor? or is it not in the game legally yet. I have heard stories of it being a 1% Encounter Rate on Non Snowy Grass in Route 4,but some confirmation would be very helpful
