Thank you so much for making this.

I’m glad you’ve enjoyed Pokemon Spork. ICSW will also be glad to hear this. Also, if you haven’t already, There are some side stories related to Spork made by ICSW: -Delicia’s Delicious Dreamland -Delicia’s Return to Dreamland made by me: -Forest Guardian (the difficulty of this side story is much harder) Stay strong. Things will eventually get better with time. -
Dedenne in New route 2
VirtualizingProductions replied to Naco's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
It should be on Route 2 during the day, not nighttime. And I recall the encounter rate for Dedenne is low. -
I remember I said that Adam’s Aerodactyl on Normal difficulty went over the level cap (83 > 80). But looking at the wiki, Angie’s Crabominable on Normal Diffficulty is the first to go over the cap (51 > 50).
Meanwhile on Reborn, Samson’s Conkeldurr Is the first to exceed the level cap (71 > 70).
Just throwing out a few trivia there.

Is Pokémon Spork good?
VirtualizingProductions replied to PokefanPT's topic in Official Spork Club's Topics
Looks like I’m late to the party, but better late than never. Just wanted to give my two-cents regarding an inquiry about whether or not to play Pokémon Spork. The beauty of fan-games made via RPG Maker is that you can do a lot of things in terms of eventing. You can make a extremely simple adventure (like Spork) or make it so complex that the decisions you chose could have an impact of the game’s true ending (like Reborn, Desolation, or Rejuvenation). Pokémon Spork seems to lean towards being a pretty relaxing adventure as if you are playing a regular Pokémon core-series games. There is no level caps regarding obedience from all Pokémon (though I recall traded Pokémon in core-series games can disobey if your Pokemon went over the level) and also no Field Effects (except from already established ones in the core series games such as Misty, Grassy, Electric, and Psychic), so you should have no problems going through this adventure. To share an analogy, if there was a Pokémon game which is extremely similar to Pokemon Spork, I have to say that it’s on par with Gold/Silver/Crystal along with their remakes of HeartGold and SoulSilver. These are one of the few games where it contains 16 badges, and that’s because there’s two regions to explore (Kanto and Johto). Spork and other fan games has 18 badges to cover, so that’s not too far off. And as far as villainous team goes, I guess Team Portal would be the equivalent of either Team Yell or Team Skull since, I believe, they’re only slightly causing trouble, but not to the point where you see any type of destruction or majorly unethical actions that would affect the entire region. So if there’s someone who absolutely never played Pokémon before and wanted to play a Pokémon fan-game, Pokemon Spork would definitely be the first choice of start your adventure. The A.I. Pokémon Teams are appropriately leveled so that it gives you an idea of when to grind, and luckily, there are lots of Pokémon Breeder with their team of Audinos using S.D. Attacks designed to Knock Out itself and give you massive EXP (though I still think Blissey gives far more EXP than Audino, I would have to experiment that). Some of the Pokémon’s movesets are somewhat optimized for major characters while most regular trainers have Pokémon whose learnset is based on what level they’re at, as it stores the four most recent level up moves if no other info is added in trainers.txt (tldr they’re not optimized). IVs can become 31/31/31/31/31/31 like Champion Cynthia from DPPt but no EVs are specifically assigned since the most Essentials can automatically set is 85/85/85/85/85/85 for a grand total of 510 EVs if the Pokémon is level 57 or more, so their stats are also unoptimized. As far as dialogue goes, I think some NPC made clear where to go next, so there isn’t a time where I get stuck on somewhere. Oops, I was rambling into making a review of that fan game, but my point still stands that this would be the first fan game to play if you haven’t played any Pokémon game before or just fed up with intense difficulty Reborn and Rejuvenation provides (since they optimize everything). I see that you already have played those intense games, and I can see why you might not like it, and that’s okay. I know I have some of my stuff that I would either invest on or put it to the side. It’s also hard for me to recommending something because I don’t know what people exactly want. As for me, I enjoyed Pokémon Spork the moment I started playing it last year (July 2019), and it was extremely fun and enjoyable, to the point where I recorded 4 separate adventures on my YT, making some fan arts of Spork related characters, made one appreciation post, and (even extreme) made a side story related to Spork with the goal of making it as hard as possible (which I hope would be the most difficult side story in terms of team composition). And even to this present day, I still got work to do! At the end of the day, ultimately, what matters the most is whether you are willing to enjoy your experience. Our insight and thoughts can only go as far. -
I was not going to post anything in this playthrough and let it be archived on November, but something did come up on my private emails. This playthrough is still on hiatus, and I don’t have plans to return to this Moonblast only run at the moment. I’m currently working as much as I can on Forest Guardian since there will be a time where existing characters are Going to be written off extremely soon and transition into a different arc. I also don’t know what the next arc would be, but after the reupload, this side story would cover up to 10 badges. While I’m at it, I also made a 1280x720 wallpaper of that same intro that I just made. GlitchXCity’s BW2 Route 19 remix is too good to pass up, and so it’s gonna replace the OST of Anistar City remix, also from her.

Help with Fairy monorun
VirtualizingProductions replied to QueenAriados's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
I remember recording my Fairy mono-run several months ago on easy difficulty. Had to choose Popplio and only use it until getting the first badge. It was when Route 2 gave me more fairies such as Spritzee and Dedenne, and eventually Sylveon in Sheridan Village. These were good times. Though I don’t think I can replicate my success again. I stopped after Adam. -

Weird Error
VirtualizingProductions replied to ColcChrisFiles's topic in Official Spork Club's Topics
In this case, let me see if my Spork 8 file has Map358. btw, you haven’t tampered with the Data folder, have you? (This map is crucial for the badge) Edit: Giggly Grassland's Map ID is 262. Map 358 is Petilil Prairie. It seems that you're missing this map. Try downloading this map and drag this file onto the Data folder of Spork 8 and load the game. Map358.rxdata -
So I saw an archived post of someone posting Spork Appreciation (5/27/2019), and I felt like posting a similar one this year! “I remember the day I downloaded Pokémon Spork on mid-June 2019. Seems like it was yesterday, but it’s 11 months ago! I was looking at other fan games besides Reborn and Rejuvenation that it would be relaxing to play and not worry about optimizing my Pokémon team just to get past a certain part of the game. The fact that there were no level caps and field effects showed a lot of promise, and it was the most fun I ever had than most of the core series Pokémon games. 18 badges that represent every type for each badge means that my adventure length has effectively doubled. But there was one thing Spork had that Reborn and Rejuvenation didn’t. Automatic PBS files and the ability to edit a project in RPG Maker. Granted, tampering some of the events can alter the situation of the game. So I didn’t touch any part of Spork 8, just looking at it as a reference. Then I turn into my eventful side story project. I needed one of the maps from Spork 8 as a starting point, and based on one of my artwork, Tinder Village fits the bill. From that point on, I just put in random chapters that didn’t have to follow the story, if there even was one. It’s just another fun thing to make something after being brave enough to delve into the engine (after backing out a little over 2 years ago) (I seriously got back into the program on July 2019). I don’t think there are other fan games besides Spork atm that could get me heavily invested. I am still looking for ways to make a game I liked the best they can be, whatever it takes. Sure, life gets in the way during the day, but nothing can stop us from enjoying what we like. Here’s to another year of enjoyment.”

Hmm, I’m not sure. There’s some scenarios regarding route 9 1. The guards tell the player that the scholar district is under lockdown 2. The guards left and Erin appears on almost that same spot after you finished chapter 12. 3. You already talked to Erin and Melia and proceeded , or about to proceed, to the Scholar district library and beyond. Number 3 is most likely the case if you already talked to Erin on route 9 and she no longer appears.

Cute artwork on Ballerina Ashley! Is that art gonna be in DeviantArt? -
I’ll look into this file when I get home from work, but I can try to briefly explain why that error sometimes happened. So, it has something to do with a certain event in RPG Maker AND the trainers.txt file. The “adding a trainer” happens because I made a new trainer class/name on the event but there’s no info on that said trainer on trainers.txt or that I’ve made a misspelling on the trainer class/name. Happens to me most of the time when I playtest stuff on Spork Forest Guardian/DX. But the way it sounded like is that you’re stuck with this error when you reboot the game. You have to send your save file from your Saved Games folder, which is called “Game.exe”. Don’t delete the trainers.txt yet, I’ll try to compare what you have with my copy of Spork 8. Edit: it seems like you got it to work. Enjoy your adventure!

Another one of those update posts, and sadly, I have to continue saying that this Moonblast only run is still on hiatus because I founded another big thing after Reborn's Randomizer. I actually got Pokémon Rejuvenation randomizer to work, so for the first time, I'll be playing this randomizer on Intense difficulty (also my first time playing this difficulty). I might learn how Jan compose their Pokémon teams from major characters the way they are, and maybe I can do the best I can. It's not like I haven't done any specific teams on Spork Forest Guardian. There's Lime, Felicia, Delicia, ICSW, and Ceolis retaining their original teams (while improving the IV/EV/movesets), and then there's Ryoken, myself, and Bonnie's team composition (albeit with unusual moves, most of them being STABmon like Eruption Charizard and Boomburst Sylveon) (and customized Pokémon like Cyberse Sylveon, Darkfluid, Nancy's Shield Sylveon). But yeah, It'll be another big adventure for me to enjoy (rather than rushing to get videos out like in V11 in late December 2018 and V12 in early July 2019; I pulled a couple all-nighters on those updates to quickly get views). Probably won't happen anytime soon this year for either Reborn's E19 or Rejuvenation's V13, so I can take my sweet time to play certain modes. Also, I'm changing from Private to Public on the last three episodes of Reborn Randomizer as soon as I'm done posting this. P.S. Nancy's Shield Sylveon is extremely resilient (see other previous post in Forest Guardian regarding Shield Sylveon)!

Does it look like this... “The Script is taking too long. The game will restart. Would you like to save the game?” I’ve had that happened very few times in Rejuvenation. There’s not much you can do except save and reload (unless saving it causes a soft lock). Even the YouTuber named Shofu had that happen once when recording Episode 15 during the gauntlet couple years ago (the time one of the team meteor grunts was about to send out Vileplume).

Pokemon Spork Argument Error

Do you still have the compressed folder of Spork 8? Maybe try extracting all the files and see if it works again (you must move the other existing unzipped Spork 8 folder somewhere else away from the Documents section). I have not encounter that error at all on the times where I unzipped that folder. -
Nothing related to the playthrough, but I gotta put something customized here. North Virima City + Bicycle Circuit! If duelists duel on mototcycles, trainers battle on bicycles in speed battles! I also made Virima Hotel considerable taller than before. They're not accessible, however, due to the limitations of map size unless I choose to extend.

I just finished recording Reborn Randomizer (finished at Hardy) and the progress is still 51%. But I’ll certainly download 18.3 so that I may play another adventure when I feel like it (not that I had any problems regarding performance before).

I recall Shell Trap wasn’t programmed in Spork either. But this Link is actually a pretty good source for programming attacks.

Three weeks since the last post (gotta post something or they’ll archive it six months after the recent post), and I’m still on hiatus of this Moonblast-only run series. I haven’t finished my reborn randomizer and I eventually found a randomizer for Rejuvenation (haven’t tried to see if it actually works atm), so I might have to prioritize that if I can get it to work (and might as well play intense mode on randomizer Pokemon since I’ve never done that before). As far as Spork 8 goes, there’s not much going on, and even if I was given info on what’s going to be eventually added or modified on the next re-upload, I still wouldn’t disclose it. However, there’s only one thing I can share. Victory Road is getting remodeled! I made several maps of Victory Road which gives it more feeling of nature, utilizing Sun, rain, hail, and Sandstorm themed teams, though actual weather may or may not happen. That’s right! Round 2 of Weather Wonderland is being showcased, and I already made a video of that on my channel. The changes I hoped would happen on the remodel is putting the fruit squads where you barely exit from Party City and TM26 just outside of the Pokémon League. And I believe there’s a mythical event outside of the League? That’ll remain the same spot. So that’s pretty much it on Spork 8. As for Forest Guardian, I got one more map to make for Fire Temple and after that, I’m putting my thoughts to Eevee Village. Depending on how much energy I still have after my work hours are done for the day, I may or may not be able to finish as soon as I hope. I’ll see how this plays out. That’s all that I have in my mind for now.

Risa has a Jigglypuff with the same base stats as Naganadel. This could be one piece of hint how Risa Raider could possibly be Freya. -
It multiplies the shiny rate by 3x. So that 1.07% becomes 3.21% to get a shiny. I don’t recall if Shiny Charm is in Spork though.
