How do you upload save data? I've seen it done a few times on here, but have no idea how to do it myself.

Here’s the instructions on how to find it:

Once you have the file you want just drag and drop it into the add files option when you go to post.

I've been trying to do this for several days now, but to no avail. No videos can really help me because I'm apparently too stupid apparently. My grid looks like:

    629      475

    134      829

    578      316

If you want to upload your save file I can solve if for you.

But the puzzle isn't really that difficult. Just follow a few simple rules. First, you want the squares to solve each one row by row, going down. So first you complete the top row of the first square. Then the second row, then the third. Only when the first square is complete should you move on to the next one. Second, You want to do most of your manipulation of position in the second square while you work on the first. What I mean by that is if you have the first row done you want to get the first number of the second row in place in the second square, then move that number into position on the first square. This is to avoid messing up what you've already worked on. Make sure that if you end up having to change ANYTHING in a solved row while manipulating the rest of the puzzle move that number back IMMEDIATELY when you can. Having to go back and correct something you've gotten out of place is a major time waster.

Using that method you get one number at a time in place, and avoid messing things up.

And critically, when you go to solve the rest of the puzzle you want it to look something like this:

    294   672

    753   159

    618   834

You want to set it up like this because at the end you will end up with the bottom two numbers on the rightmost column switched, and getting them into the proper order is straightforward in this sort of configuration IIRC.

Once you spend a bit of time playing with it you should get it pretty quickly. Actually implementing all of this is a bit time consuming though.

The wiki for the gauntlet battles says that they all only have 10 Ivs, and no EVs when if feels like they are a lot stronger than they would be with all of that. It says the same thing about Hardy which seems ridiculous as he is the 17th leader.

It’s not correct. 0 EVs 10 IVs is just the default amount. It still being there just means no one has put in the correct values. All Pokemon are EV trained by Noel IIRC. But the Gauntlet Pokemon have had a nerf bat taken to their IVs I believe.

(hope I posted this in the right place)

I have 3 save files that I can play simultaneously (I copied the Pokemon Reborn folder but added a number in the Game.ini file (2 for the second save and 3 for the third save)

I want to update the game but I am wondering what I can do to update all 3 of my game files. Do I just copy the new folder 3 times?

Also, the reason I want to update the game is I want to use the change weather mod. But when I start the game it either crashes or says that the mod is not compatible with episode 18.2

Anyone know what I can do?

You don’t do anything with the old saves. Just download the updated game and run it.

Hello, just wanted to mention that Covet doesn't appear to steal items off pokemon correctly.  It will say that the item was stolen, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything more than act as a knock-off for the opponent.

Are you trying to covet trainer's Pokemon?

As of Gen V Covet (and also thief) no longer permanently steal items from Trainers.

Ah okay. Did not know about Solaris's Garchomp being a Pulse2. That explains why it survived a Devastating Drake from my Noivern. Is there any visual indication for which mon is a Pulse2?

But also just to clarify, the Pulse2 mons have 252 EVs and 31 IVs in all their stats, don't they?

252 Evs in all their stats is the modification made to the Pulse2s. 31IVs in every stat is legal, just time consuming for real players. I have no idea if there are any Pokemon with illegal IVs. And no, there's no visual indication. There wouldn'tbe anyway, since setting all EVs to 252 isn't hard (even the player can do it if they can debug their Pokemon), but doing so as the player causes an overflow that will result in your Pokemon getting a bunch of EV points taken away from a state (possibly sending the total into the negatives, but I haven't personally done this so can't say for sure.)

How important is it that I do it sooner rather than later, or vice versa?

There's only two places you have to check.

    Spoiler

Near the Pokemart in Peridot Ward, then a building near the Magma Ally.

So I know that you get it from completing the national dex, but I've never been one to complete dex's, more of a playthrough kinda guy. So I was wondering if there was anyone willing to trade me a Poipole, as Naganadel is one of my favourite mons and defiently a mon I would like to use.

    I can.

Does Reborn introduce any quicker ways to get an EV or IV trained pokemon?

You can't change IVs, that's going to be a post-game thing with bottle caps like the main games*. But IVs aren't really super important, just don't settle for 0 in your relevant stats (I personally try to get above 15 in relevant stats personally).

The fastest way to EV train most Pokemon is to grab the power items from the department store's 4th floor (So once you get two stickers, which is doable before Shelly), and then go fight the static Woobat encounters down in the underground. Set the game to Fast Forward (default is the left alt key), and turn off animations. Which means 63 Pokemon for all non-speed stats and 51 for speed. Unfortunately there's not really a faster option.

*At least I think that's been said, but now I can't find it, so you might just not be able to change IVs at all. I know that in the past Ame's said she doesn't like the idea. But like I said, IVs aren't really super important since the effect on stats of say a 25 vs a 31 is a small 6 points.

Alright, that's what I suspected.  When you say Illegal do you mean like in Gen 2 where a pokemon could have all stats trained, or pokemon have EV values in excess of what you normally can have on a single stat?  I'm assuming it's expected that I EV train from very early on?

You should probably be EV training by Radomus, since it’s around there that your opponents will be. It’s not required, but definitely makes things easier.

As for illegal IVs the answer is both, but not at the same time and not super often. Only one Pokemon so far has 252 in every stat, and it’s way at the end of Episode 18.

Thanks that's really useful, I didn't know almost any of this stuff! So I'm guessing I should train only the two highest stats of every pokemon

To expand a bit, unless you're using a defensive (such as Ferrothorn) or really slow Pokemon (also Ferrothorn), what you want to focus on are maximum speed, and maximum power in either attack or special attack. Mixed attackers exist, but are tougher to build and use, and normally exist for specific situations that don't really come up anywhere other than competitive play (using mixed Infernape to break the Skarmory+Blissey duo for instance). As you get more experience with EV training you'll know right away which stats to focus on.

Also if you ever aren't sure, or want to check you can also use Smogon's listings. While they aren't perfect for Reborn since the mechanics are a bit different, the Gen 7 lists are usually a safe starting point.

  12. Breloom is great for this fight. Make sure it has poison heal as it’s ability, spore, brick break, and Mach punch. You can use it to put one  of the two Pokemon you face to sleep and 2 v 1 the other. Also it can stall Umbreon in battle 2 forever while you revive fainted Pokemon for the third round.

Alternatively Sand Stream Tyranitar and Sand Rush Excadrill can pretty much solo all three rounds. Evolve Scyther to Scizor for a bit of backup if needed.

So, I’ve been reading up on the story of Reborn, and so I have a question; Does Cain die?

    No.

    Spoiler

As of Episode 18 he is trapped inside the Void along with Ciel or Sampson and GG. Also Luna, but she views it as home. But people inside the Void aren't dead. GG is called out by Lin to trap one of the Agate trio, and your character escapes it with the help of Luna and Shade after you are trapped inside.
